Fat tabloid pig on Hughton's departure
spongebob toonpants replied to Jimbo's topic in Newcastle Forum
So he can get rid of Smith, Barton, Colocinni and Nolan. All earning a shed load and too close to Chris. So he can sell then sell the club with a very low wage bill. Happy New Year. Don't forget Carrol -neatly tied into a 5year contract for optimal sale value -
Alan Pardew - Poltroon sacked by a forrin team
spongebob toonpants replied to Kid Dynamite's topic in Newcastle Forum
The points about Hughton are all valid and I can't disagree with most of them. But they are all blown out of the window by the fact that it is Pardew coming in to replace him. He's done the job longer and not managed to do any better than Hughton has done so far. He's taken Charlton down (basically two divisions), he took West Ham on their worst losing streak for 70 years (while picking Mullins and Harewood over Mascherano and Tevez for christs sake) and by all accounts lost the dressing room at Southampton (even with a ten point deduction it shouldn't have been difficult to get that club into at least a play off position in league one). He's been sacked on the back of failure at much smaller clubs than this one yet somehow we are expected to buy that he is the man to move us forward. Nothing about this makes football sense. It only makes sense if you look at it from the fat cunts point of view of not wanting to pay anyone decent wages, not wanting to spend on the squad and wanting someone to go along with whatever he says. Pardew deserves no backing because (I for one believe) he's conspired with those cunts to get Hughton the sack and he lacks the qualifications to even maintain our current position let alone move us forward. The sooner he fucks off the better but much the same as with those two cunts in the boardroom, I suspect we're stuck with him while we see our club die on it's arse. It doesn,t even make sense on those terms. Pardew it would appear is on a 5 year contract worth north of 500k /year Hughton was doing his thing on way less than that, and working uncomplaining within whatever strictures Ashley cared to impose. So basically we've got somebody worse, more expensive and on a longer contract in charge, and have managed to destroy the positivity and togetherness surrounding the club at the same time We are fucked- 10610 replies

Alan Pardew - Alan fucking Pardew CH possibly wasn't the greatest coach in the world, but he was overachievng spectacularly with the tools available. He rebuilt the dignity, spirit and team ethic. he made me proud. We have squandered all the positives of his time in the job for Alan Pardew You might have a point about CH's long term viability but hold on ...Alan Pardew I too was more livid about KK and the renaming of the ground, but only because I'm resigned and depressed. Alan Pardew Alan who? He certainly brought a dignigfied face to the club, but as for spirit and team ethic, I think the gang of four accounted for a lot of that. Assuming you are correct, how do you predict the Go4 are going to react, and how do you think the squads spirit will be affected- 10610 replies

I don't think we have any players who are prone to violent outbursts.

With good reason, in fact with a litany of reasons I hate the Scousers more than Sunderland. This the one match that I care about more than any other, it is the match I want to win over all others. I hate losing to Liverpool, especially at home. I usually approach this game in a frenzy of nervous excitement, desperate to win, sick with the thought of losing. (I really really hate Liverpool). I'm not sure that I actually care at the moment. morbid detatched fascination for me

It wont be a sub 25k crowd on Saturday. The way this plays out is an initial explosion of anger, which will acheive nothing as the fans will disagree about how to proceed as it is impossible to square the circle of position a - you must always support the team and b. the only way to hurt him is in the pocket. Both sides of that argument being equally valid. However the anger will turn inward as fans argue amongst themselves. For many this latest horror will be the straw that finally breaks them and they will simply stop going The unity that CH worked so hard to build has gone, and won't be coming back any time soon if ever. Performances will undoubtedly suffer, we will fall down the table, the best players will go. We will be relegated if not this season then next - crowds will gradually dwindle... I predict a 25k in the not too distant future will be held up as evidence of how we are still a big club. Probably when we get a decent draw on making it to the third round of the FACup Ashley will sell at some point, at a loss, the extent of the loss dependant on how much he can make make out of Carrol and the other saleable assets before our destruction is complete. we couldnt be more fucked- 10610 replies

Well well fucking hell- I thought I had seen it all, plainly not. The worst thing is that in reality it is his club and there is nothing we can do about it until he decides to sell. I'm just completely dejected, I can't really summon up the energy to be angry, there isn't really any point. In all honesty my views don't count for anything as I am nothing more than an interested observer -I don't get to many games and live miles away, but I still feel like Ive been filleted. I always thought that FCUM carry on was a load of self indulgent nonsense, but to be honest I hope something like that starts up. At least it would b something you could believe in. I don't think I've got it in me to get emotionally invested again with Ashley in charge.- 10610 replies

Aussies putting in their traditional "decent in first test; lose the series 3-1 performance"

This post is dry humour gold and deserves far greater recognition. I haven't got enough self confidence to believe I actually get the joke. My unhappiness compounded by the fact I don't know which smilie is appropriate to illustrate my self doubt and confusion What's not to get though? It's preceeded by Rob trying to be as offensive as all of his considerable arrogance can muster, obviously looking to bait the Irish lads, and all he gets back is Ewerk pretending he can see through his subtlety. Graham Linehan would be proud of it and I can't really think of a much higher compliment tbf. So what you are saying is my post was too dry.....

the sky poster for the ashes is sooooooooo bad its magnificent. I genuinely pulled over to the side of the road when I first saw it to fully contemplate its awesomeness Uploaded with ImageShack.us my oh my

I'm a real glory hunter when it comes to the cricket. if England have are winning I will be following it avidly, and absolutely loving it if they are stuffing the Aussies. A close series with will have me obsessed, and full of jingoistic bombast if we win - but to be honest losing wouldn't really affect me in the slightest. I hope we win because I will thoroughly enjoy it, but if England aren't winning I will lose all interest, and genuinely not care. Bit of a no lose for me.

It depends how you define crap. There is a trade off between excitement and technique, and since before the beginning of time our football has extolled the virtues of effort and commitment over them fancy dan foreigners with their technical ability, tactical awareness and boring football. The undoubted commercial success of the premier league, and the ensuing import of quality foreign players, has allowed the claim of the best league in the world to have some basis in fact - but also allowed the false belief that home grown players were "world class" to become widespread. English players still are way behind tactically and technically, and now the imports aren't actually the very best any more the English teams will start to fall away in Europe is my guess. Apart from the odd aberration English teams still really don't know how to defend, Mourinho's Chelsea with Carvalho as the brains being the best example I can think of. This leads to a load of goals and excitement, mistakenly promoted as great attacking play, when in reality the majority of players just don't know how to defend or tackle The Shawcross tackle that broke Ramseys leg summed it up for me. The whole debate was whether it was intentional, was he malicous or just whole hearted etc, with the concensus being it was just one of those unavoidable, unlucky things. He said something along the lines of I won't change the way I play, and was praised for his courage and determination. Taking Man and ball is still considered something to be encouraged, but in reality its physicality being preferred to technique. However though there is something exciting about seeing a full blooded challenge, it certainly gets the crowd going and can energise players and fans alike. Is the Premier League crap, if you care about being able to tackle properly, being able to defend, if the most important thing is technique and tactical awareness then yes it is pretty crap. England will forever be shown up and embarresed in International competition until our whole attitude to the game changes. If you want exciting football with big tackles loads of goals, and now that our richest teams aren't monopolising the best players in the world, a league where anybody can ibeat anybody, then no English football isn't crap, its much more entertaining than its continental counterpart. I couldn't really give a Fuck about England winning anything anyway - so fuck off back to Yugoslavia you moaning twat

You talk pure pish as I'll point out on another thread in a minute, but you're right, all the great wars generally start when it's warm historically, no one can be arsed when it's cold. Same with any conflict, football hooliganism always did and always has taken a nose dive when it's cold, it's why we never play the mackems when it's warm, you might laugh but it's true. I disagree with you but you are correct??!11!!??
