Was scary yesterday the lack of so-called experts who don't understand the rules. Can understand if the everyday fan has missed the rule change about it having to be the goalscorer now, not just in the lead up to the goal. Every time the ball hits the hand you'd basically be stopping play for a free-kick just in case further down the line the ball goes in.

I tried but the file size was too big, I don't know how to make it smaller.

One plus point about tomorrow is Fraser Forster has declined even more rapidly than Dubravka and is shite with his feet.
-
Watford been doing well this season (Moussa Sissoko.captain ) on the fringes of the Play-Offs but getting a bit of a battering today. Their owners haven't sacked anyone for a while so Cleverley will be a bit nervous tonight.

Think they're definitely at the stage where they need to stick to a project even if it means a couple of more mid-table finishes. They scrapped the Rangnick one before it even started, Ashworth after a few months. They're lucky enough that they'll always have money and ridiculous commercial revenue so bite the bullet for a bit instead of chasing it.

Their best season since they were bottom of the Premier League and they're still nearly a full division behind us.

1-1, Garry Brady both ends.

Pity we didn't get Sels back in the Anderson PSR deal instead of the Greek one, he's been class since he went there.

You'd like to think a year in The Championship will have helped him? I'd be happy to buy him and just run with it like we did Given.
-
Reckon we go back for Trafford? 9 goals conceded in 24 games for a team near the top of the Championship and at 22 year old. If there was an English winger/striker in the Championship at 22 on the fringes of the England squad scoring/assisting a goal a game he'd be valued £40m-ish. If we can get him £20-25m still then I'd be all over it.

Everton have to be looking at Potter soon, surely? Dyche has had his day.
-
Our record against the top 7 this season: P6 W2 D3 L1 Bottom 6: P6 W4 D2 L0 Middle of the table dross: P6 W2 D0 L4 Seems we can raise our game fine against the top teams, overpower the dregs at the bottom, now need to start improving against the mid-table teams.

Should the Bruno goal not have been allowed because it was technically an own goal? Not even sure VAR checked that bit?
-
They seem like what Sunderland were 10 years ago, just without the annual managerial change at the moment and without their rivals having Pardew & Ashley gifting them survival every year. They hated us and Blackburn start of the PL era for taking their place near the top of the league, now they must look on at the likes of Brighton, Bournemouth & Brentford jealously.
-
Still think this is the reason we went all out for Guehi over an RW. You can have an average RW in the team but if you're playing well you'll win games, and there's other ways to score. A slow CB pairing and you can play great, but a ball over the top and you're fucked. Brentford could have had a couple late on against us at 3-0 in the same way.
-
Aye we were better team up to 3-2. We get at least a draw at Chelsea with a pacy CB. We're so close to being great.
-
Win this and one of the Man U/Spurs away games and we'll finish top 5.
-
It is sod's law like that if there's VAR last night, Arsenal go to pens with an offside goal and a decent chance Southampton get that pen.
-
Spurs/Man U away first, keep within a goal, blow them away up here.
-
Just give us the away leg first, not really bothered how it's against.

Generic small time football blather thread FOREVER

Not sure who'd pay him £200k plus at the minute other than Saudi clubs. Might end up having to take a pay cut or Man Utd paying a chunk. -

Wonder if Spurs might take a punt with Son getting on a bit. -
Could be a good game, this. Bournemouth good to watch.

Bruno is definitely not the midfielder for you if you want legs. How about Longstaff?
