Spurs game in doubt after illness
Optimistic Nut replied to Dr Kenneth Noisewater's topic in Newcastle Forum
...or an Arsenal fan. What was Ainsley Harriott upto last night I wonder? -
I'd love to see Chimbonda here, but £6-8m is a bit steep. Reminds me of a right-footed Bernard both in looks & style of play. £3-4m would be nearer the mark though.
-
It's a joke appointment. If he wasn't English he'd not even have been on the shortlist.
-
Oliver wants what's best for the paper (ie, interviews with whoever's daft enough to talk to him). People like Roeder & O'Neill are more likely to talk to him than a big-name who would have bigger fish to fry than a jumped up little tw*t who only has a role in the local newspaper.
-
And here is the reply I got to the complaint I made...Note that in my e-mail, I said I don't mind Oliver having his own opinion even though I don't particularly agree with it and my complaint was on the "these foreigners" comment.
-
you know who we got instead don't you 131542 Yes, Carl Cort. (Bellamy arrived 12 months later )
-
Rudi Skacel for about £1m from Hearts.
-
It's good, but it's no Captain's Tale.
-
He's English of course!!! Shame that I thought this appointment was about being England coach, the way some fans and the press have been going on you'd think he was going for the leader of the BNP.
-
Good programme, Maradona came across really well.
-
Once again though, a sh*t referee may have just cost us. Crespo clearly should have had a penalty, that takes two points off Blackburn and add another one onto us and minus another two from Pedersen's handball against us at St James', and there should be a 5 point swing in our favour but for referees. (or is it Souness' fault I never quite remember).
-
And what do you base these facts on. Alan Oliver? I would have thought you'd have known better than that tbh.
-
Hmm Andreas Anderson, John Barnes, Ian Rush, Carl Serrant, Garry Brady, Laurent Charvet, Paul Dalglish, George Georgiadis. Quality eh ?? 129148 No, but Given, Hamann, Dabizas, Speed, Solano, Ketsbaia, Griffin, Hughes (brought through by Dalglish) & Pearce weren't exactly the worst buys this club has made.
-
Better than Bobby tbh.
-
I'm disappointed he hasn't said his "you should only say good of people when they leave you..." line tbh.
-
"Well we will go on to top the league ladder, Liverpool don't have a realistic chance of being victorious, old bean".
-
He hasn't turned up drunk at training enough for my liking tbh. 127394 Just because Jorman beer is better tbh. Nah, I've already said a couple of weeks ago that I would give Moore a chance instead of Boumsong. I still can't see him do better than average especially when getting tested by the likes of Robben et al... 127396 But he's only been bought as a squad member. In the future when we need to rest players, at least we can rely on Moore when it comes to playing mid-table sides, etc. Against the big clubs though we'll have better next season...hopefully.

I've noticed that every time a media source says it's a certain manager (Moyes, Roeder, etc) Shepherd comes out with the same statement...however he's never mentioned anything about whether or not Mancini has been offered that €3.5m contract mentioned in the Gazzetta dello Sport.

I know he played for Leicester but didn't know he coached them.
-
I'll still make the point Inter are closer to Juve & Milan this season than what they've been for a good few years.

...and after the WBA game. 1. Manchester United.......11.........31pts 2. Newcastle United.........13.........28pts 2. Liverpool......................13.........28pts 3. Where can I listen to it? Can't find the link. -
Owen and Taylor in tomorrows squad.
Optimistic Nut replied to Scottish Mag's topic in Newcastle Forum
I don't think Roeder would bother naming them in the squad if he wasn't going to at least put them on the bench.
