  1. He's had his little Indian summer, a bit like Souness from January to March in 2005, but he'll soon be found wanting.
  2. No doubt shown before on here but still class.
  3. It's Tottenham though! Robinson should have been given a red-card automatically just for being a fat bastard.
  4. Italian football in general is f*cking sh*t. You've got the big 3 of Inter, Milan (ok, poors season this year but they'll be back) & Juventus (once they're back), the rest of them are poor...much worse than the Premiership. The fact Rangers beat Livorno easily and our reserves beat Palermo is a good indication.
  5. That'll be O'Connor back to Britain then. Probably someone like Watford will get him.
  6. How is that not a red-card for Dawson?!
  7. He's sh*t of Andy O'Brien 2004-5 season proportions...and worse than Boumsong 2005-6 season.
  8. Good to see Mr Faye score his first ever Premiership goal.
  9. http://www.channel4.com/sport/football_italia/jan19n.html Wonder who'll take a chance on him at 39! (Beppe Signori)
  10. Real Madrid Italian like? Famous quote from Andreas Möller when asked about moving to a club abroad. "Milan or Madrid, as long as it's Italy." Very similar to... "I just couldn't settle in Italy. It was like living in a different country" - Ian Rush and "I'd love to play for an Italian club one day, like Barcelona" - Mark Draper
  11. Gossip section on Ceefax from the Star, "Roeder has been given permission to make a £6m bid for WBA's Curtis Davies".
  12. With all this takeover talk out of the way now though, perhaps we'll actually spend a little bit money before the end of the month.
  13. Man Utd 0-3 York City, September 1995. Pilkington, Parker, Irwin, McGibbon, Pallister, P Neville (Cooke 46), Davies (Bruce 58), Beckham, Sharpe, McClair, Giggs.
  14. you obviously wouldn't be one of those who stuck around when we were competing for the old 2nd division title when we had shit directors. Just to remind you. We qualified for europe 4 times in over 30 years, only one of which was by finishing in the top 5. Lets hope the next board will be better than that one ......... Maybe they wont see us getting hammered 1-5 at home to a side a division below us? How many other chairmen have that dubious honour amongst the top clubs? Didn't a Man U side with the likes of Cole, Giggs, Neville, Scholes & Beckham get beat 3-0 at home to York City?
  15. In an attempt at winning some sort of silverware while at Newcastle, Given tries impressing the Newcastle Eagles' scouts.
  16. As did Ramage last night. Still shit. ...as did Pattison...as did O'Brien. Anyone who'd still have those two ahead of Luque are idiots imo.
  17. Think that was the year before. Seem to remember Gullit scoring and Huckerby coming on.
  18. Or he's off to Holland at the weekend to have a look at that Kuyt lad.
  19. That game was absolutely superb. Shame we got knocked out, but in hindsight i'm glad we were able to fully concentrate on getting 4th spot that season. Hmm, I actually think the UEFA Cup was there for the taking that year. Was the final not between Borussia Dortmund & Feyenoord that year? Think we could have won that. Aye and Tomasson was beyond doubt their star player. Might be wrong but I think he was partnered by van Hooydonk as well that night. It was the same in 1994-5 when we finished 6th. Almost every single season since then, the team that's finished 6th in the league has qualified for Europe. Just think, if only Man U had beaten Everton at Wembley, we'd have been in that, probably been the strongest team in it by a mile going into the 1995-6 season, and the momentum of winning in Europe might have spilled over into our stuttering league campaign come March time and we'd have won a double.
  20. The last time Man U won the title, Blanc was actually very good.
  21. Has he ever not overhit the penalty box with a cross though?

  23. "Shilpa should f*** off home. She can't even speak English" - Danielle Lloyd. If that's not racist then what is? And of course, Channel 4's very Comical Ali like response... "There has been no overt racial abuse or racist behaviour in BB".
  24. Thing with Ayala, is that he's near the end of his career and he'll want to win whatever he can before he retires. Coming to a club like Newcastle to help out some young players won't interest him in the least.
  25. I remember a couple of years ago when he burst onto the scene at Coventry people were wanting him here. He's pure horseshit.
