Just watched the Coventry v Spurs highlights there. If Vicario gets a Pope level injury their season is ruined because Forster was all over the shop..Here's hoping.

And they're being done for breaking rules which should never have been in place anyway. The 6 runners-up to Man City in each of their title wins? Arsenal, Liverpool & Man Utd. The exact 3 clubs FFP is there to serve. -

This is where I think FFP fails massively. Before Ashley, our commercial revenue was around 70-80% of what Spurs made. It was about 40-50% when he left us. Over 14 years that's 100s of £millions. If they insist on having FFP in play, there should be some consideration for a new ownership to be able to go to the PL and say here's what this club's is able to generate in revenue when we're not a cheap/free advertising board for Sports Direct, here's what we're capable of earning now. There should also maybe be a grace period for new ownerships where there's maybe a 3-5 years where they're able.to.invest in the club to bridge the gap. Not just saying this from an NUFC perspective either. Clubs like Leicester & Forest are being shafted for having the audacity to not settle for being a Norwich or Sheff Utd and having a go at it in the Premier League. Everton had a couple.of years where they really went for it, failed, and they've been ruined ever since. Yet clubs like Chelsea & Man Utd can finish upper mid-table.and spend £200m or so without even flinching. Bournemouth have wealthy owners who seem genuinely ambitious with a good model, yet because they're a small club and don't have the pull, they're always going to be a mid-table club at best because they'll always have FFP holding them back. Clubs lower down the leagues like Wrexham and Birmingham who seem to have it all off the pitch will never be able to go all out if they ever did reach the top. Sorry went off on a tangent there, Ashley's a cock. -

RIP Tito Schillaci. Was only 6 but remember that World Cup pretty vividly. -
Ideal scenario is we get as many English clubs as deep as possible in the competitions but winning fuck all, should be enough to make 5th place get a CL spot next year which is where I think we'll finish.

I trust Mitchell's track record enough to think he'll be good for us. It'll just take time. -

Teething problems, they'll work things out, NUFC are fucking mint again. There'll be disagreements, bad windows, poor sales/incomings, whatever happens we're operating like a proper football club again and it's not just Ashley to Charnley to Pardew/McClaren/Bruce anymore. -

Would be looking at Aaron Hickey from Bologna. Was linked to Villa before they got Digne, can play both full-back positions…only a matter of time before he gets a big move. -

Would have taken a chance on him tbh. -
Just seeing him standing over a free-kick or corner would bring back so much optimism.

Because there's nowt I can do about it and I've no interest in running or investing in a football club.
-
Is that the only line people have if you don't think the NUST will be a success, "well why don't you do something about it"?
-
Give over man. It's funny cos i said the same thing over on N-O yesterday. Great minds.... I love how being sceptical or against a potential new investor makes you "pro Ashley" and "worse than a Mackem". I remember seeing a snippet from the NUST a few months back saying they were a bit sceptical about Barry Moat's credentials. Does this make them pro-Ashley? Bollocks man.
-
Give over man.
-
It's more a criticism of the NUST than defending Ashley. Like I say, I want him out, and agree with the idea in principle, but they need better people running it without pathetic little digs like that and using "hearsay".

how much is that again? http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/...relegation.html
-
Even if it turns out Ashley is somehow taking £7m from the club a month, which I still don't believe, I'd love to know how that's "profit" after the amount he's put into easing the debts.
-
Of course he'll need it. Just as every single owner/board member/chairman up and down the country does, and I'm sure he knows this and is prepared for it. Would have been naive for anybody to start something of this scale and not expect criticism or scepticism, and after reading Peasepud's posts on here over the years I'm sure he's ready for it.
