  1. Anderson's arse dropped after Joelinton bullied the fuck out of him for one tackle early after coming on. Hid the rest of his time on the pitch.
  2. 2-1 Newcastle win. Hopefully the Willock/Joelinton combo stops the supply line to Wood. Not sure what their plan B is.
  3. Really nice set of fixtures between Forest & Boxing Day other than Liverpool, like. England is already way ahead of the other "big 5" leagues in the co-efficient standings this season, could see us being top 5 by the time Villa come here on Boxing Day.
  4. I hope if we do win it's another controversial goal that'll make them cry for another season.
  5. Rui Costa & Hamann would have been a pretty formidable midfield for half a season.
  6. Popped up in one of those Twitter accounts that harvest likes by posting "How good was (insert player)" and remember Gullit trying to sign him when he first signed. When I Googled "Rui Costa Newcastle" to try and find anything, this post was near the top. Didn't realise he'd actually flown over there, though. Sad that we somehow ended up with Maric instead. Sorry if you thought he was dead for a second.

  8. Obviously our Ladies team is only better than theirs now because of the money in their eyes, but I want to know why they're miles behind Durham, too?
  9. Gibraltar v San Marino tonight could be a fun watch.
  10. Nah I don't see it. No issue with Joelinton starting, just think this sort of opposition is made for Almiron but we need Barnes & Gordon around Isak too just for the goal threat.
  11. 4-1 home win. They're there for the taking if you press them. I'm not convinced by their midfield since they sold Gross and Gilmour. Go with Bruno and Tonali as a two, Barnes left, Gordon just off Isak to do his pressing from there and Miggy on the right.
  12. Was gutted we didn't win but I think the performances last 2 games need to be the benchmark against the top teams and lesser sides. We win that 95% of the time. Isak in after the break and we'll start turning these into wins. The way Brighton play is perfect for us too. Can see it being the game it all comes together and we win by a few.
  13. He was having an absolute shocker up to the goal as well.
  14. Real deal as a promotion contender if they win tonight?
  15. One of my favourite moments from this fixture, Lejeune not realising he was the one who got the equaliser (not sure any fucker realised to be fair), and him chasing the rest of the team back towards the away end.
  16. Other than Real Betis & Fiorentina we'd have had a clear run at that trophy. Fucking Man Utd.
  17. Looking forward to the Conference League tonight. Dinamo Minsk v Hearts Molde v Larne Fiorentina v TNS Shamrock Rovers v APOEL Nicosia
  18. Spanish & Italian clubs starting slowly in the Champions League is a canny little bonus.
  19. Hope we give them a friendly in pre-season so their fans who couldn't come here last night get to see us play each other.
  20. Urgh, I hate these and we owe them after last year, seem to remember it coming at our lowest point in terms of injuries and being bang in the middle of playing every few days? Pope Trippier Hall Schar Burn Tonali Bruno Joelinton Barnes Murphy (Gordon if no Isak) Gordon (Isak if fit)
  21. Probably just a small thing, but a sign of the "rivalry" these days that Northumbria Police are happy for us to both play at home on the same night. Would never have happened 10 years ago.
  22. Not the greatest, never really under any threat. Did what we needed to. Bring on Everton.
  23. Aye, hopefully they just promote Ben Clark from within. They play a style of football that's at least 1-2 leagues above them, an outsider would likely just revert them back to non-league style football and they'll drop.
