Newcastle United midfielder Kieron Dyer's move to West Ham United is off. Dyer appeared set to be reunited with a clutch of his former Newcastle team-mates at Upton Park after agreeing personal terms. But Hammers boss Alan Curbishley has told Sky Sports News that the transfer has been 'pulled' by The Magpies. Curbishley also doubted the prospects of the deal for the England international being resurrected before the start of the season. "We agreed a fee with Newcastle and we agreed personal terms with the player," Curbishley told Sky Sports News. "The player passed a medical, but at the 11th hour, the 11th-and-a-half hour, it got pulled by Newcastle for their reasons. "There is not much we can do about it. "The boy has been left in limbo, obviously. He was just about to come and train with us. "It's been pulled and the likelihood is it's going to stay that way. "It's the first time I can remember anything like this happening. It's happened and we have got to get on with it."

Wigan ace Leighton Baines is in talks with Everton and Newcastle. Wigan have given permission to Baines to talk to both clubs after they accepted undisclosed bids from their Premiership rivals for the talented full-back. The Latics have reluctantly agreed to let Baines move as they look to get their squad in place for the start of the new season next weekend. Baines has attracted the interest of a host of clubs with Sunderland failing to persuade him to move to the Stadium of Light after having a fee accepted for his services last month. Everton are in the market for a new left-back with Joleon Lescott being played out of position in the role last season. Newcastle boss Sam Allardyce admitted on Friday that he could make a move for Baines as he looks to reshape his defensive options at St James' Park. Baines is set to meet both clubs to discuss a possible move and the defender is expected to make a decision on his future over the weekend. It is believed Everton are favourites to land Baines ahead of Newcastle because the player is a Toffees fan and would love the chance to play for his boyhood heroes. SSN. He's injured atm. Oh lol....well he cant be injured for ever so IMO we should be in there for him
-
Is there no one better out there thats better then Heinze because we seem to be consistently linked with him.... no one thought Wayne Bridge would be a better choice for us because hes younger and hes only second choice at Chelsea were as if he comes here he will get his game on a regular basis. I think we would get bridge for £6m
-
Smiths best days are way past him...showed great potential at Leeds then went to Man Utd and turned into a a shit midfielder IMO
