The mackems on SMB are giving CHopra hell, very amusing, they've decided he either deliberately shat on them with that chance at the end, or at the very least he bottled it when it came to scoring past us...who knows for once they may have something, either way its funny. I liked this one: "Clarke done it now Chopra has, fuck off back to Cardiff you black and white bastard!!! The ball he had to play was absolutely simple and what does he do? deliberately play a spacker cross!!!" I wasn't sure what it was, but it turns out it was a spacker cross!!!
-
Definitely, apart from a couple of stray passes he was class, and really fought hard as well in attack and defence, seemed to give a shit about the game.
-
I don't know how they unearthed him and for so cheap because the guy looks pure class to be honest. He's fast, strong and intelligent and pretty hard as well, wins it in the air and on the deck and is usually well positioned. That tackle on Jones where he took the ball perfectly then absolutely smashed Jones in two was something worth seeing! And luckilly we'll be able to keep hold of him for a while depsite how good he is because the steryotype of NUFC=shite defence at all times, means people will underrate him for a while yet!

Thought Bassong was a class apart from everyone on that pitch, Enrique had a very good game and Jonas ran his heart out and caused them problems with his running throughout. But first half i don't think many of the others offered anything, though Carroll to be fair did well with what he had, second half we stepped up a gear and should have won it. Shola was by and large a disgrace, lumbering about, geting caught offside and sitting on his arse while the game continued on more than one occasion. He also would have had another 3 or 4 clear chances if it didn't take him so long to get a shot out. Yet he showed a hell of alot of balls to take a penalty in a derby with all the importance that entails and the added pressure of relegation battles and he deserves credit for that, but he shouldn't be in the team. As for Kinnear, those 2 strikers together and Shola at all wasn't a good idea, and playign Duff on the right is a waste of time, he barely performs on the left where he belongs. Everytime Taylor looked to get it wide he'd find Duff tucked inside. And Duff missed that sitter that should have won it, luckilly later on Chopra decided instead of an easy finish or an even easier pass to Jones to win it for them, he'd hoof the ball past the despairing Jones! Didn't hear the mackems singing "chopra's one of us" after that! All in all another missed chance to beat another piss poor side at St James, we now have to Beat West Brom no question.

I read/saw an interview with him mentioning the hate mail he was getting from some religious nuts and he made a great point about how they wanted him to give god all the credit for any eautiful and amazing creatures he covered in his programmes, not the nasty ones though. And he replied to them mentioning some parasite that exists solely to burrow into the eye of a child (blinding them) to complete its life cycle (can't remember the exact name/details, but that was the gist of it i believe). They're not so keen to give god the credit for those types of creature!

Totally agree. Zog has acted like a complete tool and his attitude is appalling, but Kinnear is also an idiot and its a frightenign thought he could be the permanent manager here. Sadly its one of the very few players with any pace and hint of flair gone, making the team yet more slow and pedestrian when we can least afford it.
-
Really not looking forward to this at all, more so than for any derby in a long time. Considering our home form under JK, the fact that for the mackems their lives are based around these 2 games a season and its their first chance in decades to do the double over us, then it doesn't bode well. And whatever the result it will be a horrible, nerve wracking time all match. Even if we win i'd expect a 1 goal win hanging on at the end so the enjoyment can only come when the whistle goes! Having said all that i'll go for a win with Nolan getting the winner on his debut, why not!!
-
The fans should back the team all match and ignore anything else, then come the end of the match, win/lose/draw they can give him hell for all i care. I suspect though, if things don't go well during the match, he'll get it during the match and that won't help matters at all really.

Full of utter pricks of the highest order I can't read anymore of that shite. Some of the come-lately cunts on there want their heads smashing together. And I don't give a fuck if they weren't born until the eighties as if that's any sort of excuse I can only speak for myself, but i think anyone who did suffer all the shite years before Keegan, and then had him come in take the club from the brink of destruction to very nearly the best in the country, played the best football ive seen, had us back in europe and made me genuinely love going to the match, i couldn't wait for it to come round, now i hate it. He made NUFC fans as happy and proud to be fans as they've ever been or will be and i'll never forget it, i would have backed him against anyone he came up against even say Shearer. Obviously i wish he'd stuck it out for the season when they went continually behind his back and against his wishes as we wouldnt be in this mess, but why should/would he.
-
Thats the same, more or less, for me. And its why i hate the fuckwitts ruining our club so much, they got my hopes up and got me happy again to have, what seemed a stable, well run club with Keegan back and the fans behind him, we started the season with the manu draw, beat Bolton and Coventry and i thought this could be an enjoyable season. Then it turned out they are complete and utter cunts who will destroy this club and i'm as low as ive ever been. In all the seasons past ive always said and genuinely felt we wouldnt go down at all, it didnt worry me, but this time with such a weird premiership and with our club a complete mess off the pitch we're in genuine danger.
-
As people have said, its sad but true that he could likely be a needed squad member this season and beyond. Because Viduka is finished, they'll peddle Xisco to Spain for a big loss most likely, Owen is likely to leave unless he's insane and Martins might want to join him! Lose that many strikers and i'm afraid we need Shola, scary as that may be!
-
It might'nt be ideal but its a damn sight better than when the window is closed! If you're willing to spend money then you'll be able to get at least a couple of decent players in, obviously its hard to get exactly what you want but in our case, it would be very easy to improve on our team and also the size of the squad means just getting more players in is vital, even if they weren't much of an improvement!
-
It really is bad, the club is in such a mess that you can't blame any half decent player here if they want to leave for a more stable club or one where they have some idea what will be happening in the near future! If Ashley does fuck all in January which is looking to be the case, then come the end of the season, even if we've stayed up, the better players will still want to leave if they haven't already as the club has clearly got no ambition anymore. As people have said, its the most depressing its been for many a year. Fat Fred may well have taken us from a top 6 club who could have challenged the "big 4" (at least on occasion) to a midtable nonentity (at best), but i'd take him back over Ashley and what he's doing!
-
Very interesting watch and like somebody said i was shocked when you think Steven Fry was in his 20's as Melchett! I also agreed with Rowan and one of the others who said if they'd done a 5th series it should have been a Colditz style thing as that would have worked well. But as much as i love the programme i wouldn't want to see them do another now as they're so much older and lets be honest Ben Elton and Richard Curtis are hardly the same writers now as they were then! Also loved the Shooting Stars programme, but the new one they did after it was prety poor by and large to be honest.
-
As it stands today I agree with you, the proof for me will be if that statement holds up come 6th February. If those "shitter" teams invest wisely then they may just turn their season round. If we do the opposite (which I think is a distinct possibility) then we could be fooked. I agree, as things are now, whilst you can't rule relegation out i think there are worse sides who will finish below us and i would be relatively confident we'd be safe. But with a continued injury crisis, good players out and inferior or none in we'd be in the shit. And as much a dick as i think Ashley is you have to hope he has some semblance of inteligence to realise he loses everything if we go down and to protect his investment for whatever he intends to do with it he has to bolster the squad. But god knows what will happen, this is NUFC after all!
-
Because of his injury record i wouldn't pay more than say £5-£6m but the fact is if he stays fit, he's scoring 1 in 3, sets up goals and his pace, movement and work rate are a constant threat, so he's good signing, all dependent on his fitness. So if you could get him on the cheap, i'd jump at the chance, but for the usual inflated fee, i'd say no thanks.
-
I did get one, if that's any consolation "Every cloud..."
-
So if he has a wank, its pretty gay then, rubbing one cock onto another!
-
The Babayaro thing showed how pathetic the self-styled 'tough' guy is. He's the classic modern footballer, kick/elbow/slap players and when you get anythign back, hit the deck like a cheating little prick to get them introuble. I honestly don't know how pro's from any other sport can tolerate footballers to be honest. Its the only sport that has such widespread feigning of injury, rolling round on the deck like a tart and reacting like you've been shot to the tiniest of contact. In other sports they try to go on with actual injuries, not hit the floor with non exsistent ones! Even womens football from what i see of it doesn't have the problem, just the "mens" version. Still easilly the best sport in the world mind, just played by some right cockends!
-
Personally i don't think its really down to pricing that much at all, that's just the final straw if you like. Its really down to a bunch of people who have literally had enough, from Souness, Roeder, Fat Sam and then Ashley building hopes up with KK only to shit on them completely. They've just decided that they can't take anymoe of this shit for now at least. If KK had been backed and stayed and got the football and results flowing i think most of them would have been back by the end of this season, but now there is no entertainment, no hope and no optimism and its killed some people off from coming. Obviously if ticket prices were vastly reduced people would come back, but i think its mostly down to be people being sick to death of the club being a mess to be honest!
-
Should be done for it and banned as it was a blatant stamp, but i can't help but feel when its that cunt Cahill, you have to say there is mitigating circumstances as who could spend 90 mins on a pitch with him and not stamp on him!
-
It certainly is inciting hatred, but its what popes do best! And as people have said, nice of him to wait till the festive period to get back to his churches serious business of hating gays!
-
Milner's an odd one and can be frustrating but when you have a player like Young on the other wing Milner kind of balances the midfield a little. The other thing is Young wasn't the best crosser of the ball when we signed him, far from it but look at him now. We have John Robertson (Forest European Cup winning winger) on the coaching staff and he has worked wonders with him hopefully he does the same with Milner. I was the same in his time here, kept saying he was young and that they'd work on his crossing and it would be sorted out in time, but if anything it might have got worse at times! Maybe your guys will work wonders with him, but sadly i think he's destined to continue delivering appalling crosses from easy positions alot of the time! But since you're top 4 with a good shot at CL qualification its not abig worry is it!
-
Its fairly daft really isn't it. So what is the general feeling in regards N'Zogbia, I always had him down as having talent but not the attitude or application to make the most out of it. Fair? Unfair? I'd say 99% of us to be fair!! As for Zog, he's a hard one to call because in recent times he's never had a fair crack at showing what he can do. He's frequently been at LB or on the bench and has rarely had anything like a run at LW where he belongs. For me he hasn't kicked on like i thought he would when he first arrived here and has been inconsistent, but as i say that's not been helped by his treatment here. He's got plenty of pace and can be a big threat, he just needs to work on the final ball a bit and find that consitency which will hopefully come with a run of games. I don't want to lose him, we have little pace and matchwinners as it is and we would likely replace him with somebody slow and uncreative! I'd have kept him over Milner, who for all his great attitude and workrate is a winger who is slow and can't cross!
-
I think he's the player most fans would love to see get a goal, and imagine if it was an injury time winner he'd banged in! I don't think he'll get many mind as his one big weakness seems to be a complete lack of power whenever he does shoot, but hopefully he'll get one in soon.
