  1. That's just it though, the money isn't good enough. If Ashley had ANY thought for the club he'd not sell Steven Taylor. Even the most mackem-like of cockney-cunt would see that no Centre Back of note means no results of note, which means no value of note for the club, which means the £5m he gets for Taylor will be wiped out by the lower position in the league. If Ashley was staying he'd need to keep Taylor to push for Promotion, if he's going, why the fuck sell a player who adds value to the club? I was worried about Palace before this, now I'm fucking terrified. 0-3 and the start of the rot, I reckon. I agree, but we clearly don't have Ashley's insight into running a football club! Any team needs the spine in place and if you take out all the CB's we're in trouble. We all think that he is only interested in getting a smuch money back as possible, but like you say he won't if he keeps selling everyone, because if we start to struggle the value of the club keeps dropping and the fat cunt loses out.
  2. Nobody is happy, but getting a guy who will still be good enough for the championship and would be great help in guiding the young defenders (those left anyway) is a good signing. However unlike fat fuck Ashley we'd keep Taylor to play alongside him And he didn't knock us back, Roeder chose not to sign him when his agent/the man himself had made it clear he was very keen to come and play here.
  3. Aside from Ashley being a complete cunt i'd guess the most likely reason is a club has come up with good money (well good enough for fat fuck to accept) for Taylor whereas nobody has offered enough/anything for Colocini. But i'm quiet sure that if they do offer enough he'll shift Colo as well leaving us with no CB's with any real first team experience.
  4. A statement which covers pretty much everything Ashley does.
  5. You can see what will happen, they'll sell Taylor (for less than they should like normal) then fail to offer Campbell decent terms so he won't join and we'll be fucked.
  6. If in the close season Fat fuck Ashley had got the club sold, we had Shearer (or a geuninely decent other manager) on board with time to make key signings, shift the crap and keep a few of the better players, that crowd would be impressive. When the club is in complete chaos, we have no idea what is happening from day to day, we've lost countless players and the owner is treating us fans like shite, to get that crowd is amazing and something virtually no other club would manage. If the fat cunt did sell before the deadline and Shearer was brought in, a few more wins and you'd be looking at 50,000 potentially.
  7. That's the thing, it was pre-season, then didn't Shearer via Keegan ask Ferdinand for the no.9 shirt which to his credit Sir Les gave up for the season proper.
  8. He did have a good run where he was starting to look the part i thought, then slowly had his confidence destroyed and got steadilly worse, but was about the only player who was fit all season if nothing else!
  9. Anyone getting a hattrick will get (and i think deserve) MOTM from me, he also had another good effort saved, and whilst his all round game wasn't great, it wasnt shit like against West Brom either. I think Raylor did a have a decent game and i'm one of his biggest critics as i'm not convinced he's a footballer at all! He had a shaky start where he gave a way a couple of balls, but after that i remember some good tackles, some decent passes here and there and got involved, especially for the goal. He also looked better as Barton was taking the set pieces! Colocini is clearly a much better player than Raylor so i agree with Alex there, and again after a shaky start he did have a canny game, was caught on the wrong side of the attacker about 3 times though which he needs to cut out. Nolan looked as ever so shockingly slow when he gets the ball to feet and when chasing back after players, but his effort to keep that ball in earned us the crucial goal when most would have given up on it, and at this level he will probably do a job, something he'll never do at prem level. Enrique was impressive, but then i've always rated him from the start and am not surpried at all that he'll be cruising through matches in the championship.
  10. Unless you're a fat cunt intent on the complete destruction of NUFC of course! I agree, it would be a stupid sale on every level, si i expect theres a big chance it will happen.
  11. Would be happy if he came back tbh. Decent player with a bit of pace. Agree, he can play wing and striker with pace at championship level, i'd have no worries about that. We know he isn't a world beater, but as before he's free and can do a job, he already knows his teamates from last season so if he's available i'd bring him back. Especially as we're likely to see Jonas leave as well as Duff.
  12. Yeah, if things were sorted out, good manager on board and went on a good run of results you'd soon see 40k there and who knows how high it would get back to if things were going well. At the moment you can't blame people for staying away when the club is continually treating the fans like shit and nobody knows what the hell is happening.
  13. The championship requires hard work, fitness and willingness to fight as its 46 games and you'll know you've been in a battle, so its not easy in that sense, But some of the quality of footballers is very poor and if you have got some decent footballers and you fight for the right to play your football its not as hard as some people think. When i thought it was going to be Shearer in as boss, he'd clear the shite out, bring in the right players and keep the likes of Beye and Bassong etc i was sure we'd get back up. As it is now we still have a really good chance, the problem is you can see severeal more key players being sold and suddenly it will become alot harder to get promoted, especially when our standard injury crisis hits. Then we'll find out if some of the youngsters are good enough or not, hopefully they are.
  14. As usual Warnock and Jordan deserve to have stuff like this happen, i saw their comments on SSN who then gave the Bristol City chief exec a right to reply on the subject. He just sounded like some posh old bloke but he owned the pair of them whilst still remaining dignified and intelligent in what he said.
  15. Another one where if things were fine and we were in the prem i'd say yes, but with no squad as it is and a division lower i don't want anymore players out the door, especially as their replacements will likely be at best a bit worse and more likely non-existent!
  16. I can imagine Blessed being invincible and just going on forever. Even if he did die his voice would still be echoing round the universe for long after he was gone! Part of the trio of classic English eccentrics/nutters with Tom Baker and Patrick Moore!
  17. I don't know what state he's in these days fitness wise, but surely you'd think the guy would be a class signing in the championship to help guide what could be some young defenders depending on who gets sold. As i say i don't know what his current level is, but i'd be happy with him coming in if its true.
  18. Yeah, he played a strike partnership we all think is wrong, but they did the business so he deserves the plaudits. What i hope they will do though, is when this pair clearly isn't working in a game, they have to switch it at halftime and bring a bit more pace up front. I'd certainly start the 2 of them against wednesday because they don't deserve to be dropped though.
  19. Well, couldn't have asked for much better than 3-0 at home and i think a good all round performance. Shola is obviously the talking/laughing point, but putting the goals aside he did look a but more interested in general than normal and didnt continually get caught offisde or give away too many freekicks, so fair play to him today, hope it continues. I think thats also the first time i've thought Raylor was a footballer, seemed to be well positioned, won a fair few tackles and his distribution wasnt shite either, again though we need this week in and week out. Smith was running a risk at one point, but there was no way the 2nd was a yellow, and the ref got it right when he could easilyl have jumped in and sent him off. The first was a certain yellow though and he needs to get back to his West Brom channeled agression not stupid tackles, but i do think he's going to be an important player for us. The pessimist in me though just worries at who is going to be left by the end of the transfer window and which manager will we have. Theres plenty of rumours Taylor will be gone and any decent money for Colo, Jonas or Enrique will see them out before you can blink. I know plenty of people would like to see the 2 argies gone but really can we afford to lose anymore players from this squad!
  20. Yeah, fair play to him, he's not a manager, he's been left to handle the whole mess without knowing at any point what the hell will be happening. His previous record in games in charge has been terrible, but 2 games in and they couldnt have done much better this season. I still want a permanent manager in place, with Hughton deserving to be kept on, but i'd take him over JFK anyday, not only is Kinnear a complete tool, but since he actualyl does fuck all you're paying his wages for Hughton to keep doing the job for him anyway.
  21. Just seen on the scrolling bar that sky sources say we've had the offer for Duff. Considering his wages and £4m, if its true then we're losing yet another player and the squad will get ever smaller. I know plenty of people would be happy to shift Duff but we can't afford to lose anymore players now and i think he can do a good job in the championship personally.
  22. If Harper is fit you can guarentee Hughton will start him, and continue to do so regardless of his form in games, just as you can bet we'll see Butt back in the team as soon as they can shove him in there because he has experience and to them that is always best. I did read an interview with one of our players, may havebeen Smith, who was saying Harper might not be fot for Sat as you have to give it a week or so after that kind of head injury just to be safe. If so we may yet see Krul get another game and if he's the star again the pressure to keep picking him will hopefully build.
  23. Cattermole is £6 mil rising to £8 mil,as to the 60k a week.. I dont think so Bent £10 rising to £14. but when and if we reach the stage where add on`s were to be paid for these players,I`m sure we`d only be to happy pay up,the triggers that bring these clauses into place would mean silverware in the cupboard. No that's wrong. Bent is rising to £ 16.5 Mill according to spurz stock exchange that can hardly lie. So stop telling porkies. For the fee to rise to £16.5 we`d have to win the world cup (England) Bent playing and scoring a bucket full and Sunderland winning the CL,though that would be nice,I can`t see either of those happening can you? Levys face saving clauses,If and it`s a very, very big if! the fee rises to 14 mil the club would be happy to pay the extra I`m sure. Not really, just fact I`m looking at a mid table finish TBH that would do fine.. And i think you'll get it, Bruce is a solid prem manager, Bent is a proven scorer in the prem when he's given a chance, Cattermole will be effective and Bruce seems to have the knack of finding unknown foreign players who go on to do well. Hope i'm wrong tho!
  24. I agree, he's not a world beater, but he does that job well and will be a big improvement for them. The fee is too big but thats the way of things, you have to pay that these days. He is however a dirty little bastard who deliberately sets out to injure players no matter how much he and Bruce have denied it, but the mackems will be more than happy with him since he injured two of our players in his Wigan days!
  25. He definitely got excited after that first save, and he missed another cross afterwards, but i agree by and large he handled the box well and as Craig said you remeber him coming and easilly picking off several other crosses. Plus he can only get better with games at his age. If Ashley wasnt such a cockend we would have had Krul with Taylor, Enrique and Beye at the back, and who knows Big Al may even have talked Bassong into one more year before deciding his future.
