Don't really need the rest of the statement when you see this!

Newcastle fans don't support their team as they should
Papa Lazaru replied to Christmas Tree 's topic in Newcastle Forum
That would have to be the twat's epitaph. I reckon we see a lot of this shit next season though. First game we lose next season will be entirely the fans fault as we were expecting to win the domestic treble and the champions league, even though we're not in it, because we're so deluded and the poor players collapsed under the expectation! I was rather talking about sending out a team playing for draws tbh. In the end that's how we played a lot of away games this season after all... I don't know, i think Hughton will keep it tight and perhaps employ his system of Nolan (or other) off the striker at times away from home, but i'm not sure he'll quite be of the Fat Sam "spoil the game and try to cling desperately to a draw in games you should win" school of thought. -

Cheers, sounds about right for him, selfish to the end. You get the match won first with your main pen taker then go looking for individual targets, but not Drogba!
-
What did Drogba do earlier in the match that Andy Gray keeps mentioning, about his behaviour?

Predictable shit from Fat Sam, the fans could have got on his back long before they got annoyed with his antics of playing for draws against the likes of Derby. Also none of that season is ever his fault if you listen to him talk about it. The Scott Parker bit is fair enough for me though, Parker may not have been good enough in many fans eyes but he got a load of shit off the fans everytime he touched the ball and eventually you can't play in that at your best whoever you are. And whether you think he was good enough or not, he gave everything so he didn't deserve alot of the abuse that came his way. However just the normal "pressure" of playing for the big crowd who expect the team to put in the effort at home and a certain level of performance is not even an argument, if you can't handle that why are you in the game. When its personal against one player then that's different. -
I doubt all countries will adopt it at all, but i would bet my life you're right that Britain doesn't!

I think Guthrie deserves his shot too but from what i remember of Ambrose he unlike Guthrie was happy out wide and could play there, even if now he's playing through the middle so i think he'd cover more than one role in the team. True, it was more that if you were going to fit Ambrose into the current starting line-up it would probably be at the expense of Guthrie. Yeah, one of my worries is that Hughton will shunt Guthrie wide again at times in the prem and as he struggled wide in the championship that would be a bad idea. When given a run in the centre he's shown he can pass the ball about and set up goals for people whilst chipping in with the odd goal himself.

What he'd do in the prem i'm not entirely sure, but i thought he was canny when he was here before and didn't agree with selling him so i'd give him a shot at the right price.

Literally everyone I've spoke to who is voting for the Tories has given me an answer about immigrants and that's it. I don't think the majority of people are aware of what they're like. I've just about resigned myself to them winning now but have two reasons to be positive - King's opinion on how much shit is going to hit the fan and a whole new generation of selfish twats are going to be reminded what the Tories are. Yep, this. From a personal perspective, a small Tory majority with a vastly improved Lib Dem position might just be the best result in the long term, even if the next few years are ugly as hell. Don't know how/why anyone is stupid enough to believe the tories have ever or will ever change, they are what they are and always will be. Doesn't mean Labour are any use either, the whole lot of them are a waste of space tbh, but i find it amazing that anyone believes the stuff Cameron and his people have fed them, its embarassing.

Newcastle want director of football
Papa Lazaru replied to Christmas Tree 's topic in Newcastle Forum
Exactly, either get somebody like Dein who is on the business side but knows what's required at football clubs unlike Llambias, or leave it alone as getting a "football" person just puts them in conflict with the manager and the last thing we need is to go back to unstability and internal conflicts. Also if you got somebody who isn't a slimy, odious little cunt then they're a step up from Llambias. -
The Newcastle United commemorative Promotion plate
Papa Lazaru replied to Jimbo's topic in Newcastle Forum
Whoever did it has the usual obsession with us and its pretty obvious and predictable, however they did save themseves with the Robson Green quote and a picture of Jeff from Byker Grove! -
Normally Villa would be the easy choice for me as their players and manager never seem to bother me and their fans never did. However the way they went on last season made them look like a bunch of dicks and cancels out the fact their team are alright. I'd still probably go Villa with them getting knocked out in the qualifiers, preferably playing us the next match so we can congratulate them on getting so near to mattering but sadly still being irrelivant!

He's mostly right, but as usual it was fuck all to do with the miserable twat! Celebrate the day in the ground and everyone have a good night out after, players and fans, but i agree beyond that its stupid having open top bus parades and the likes for a club of this size getting back to the prem.
-
He was finished in the prem the season we went down, sadly it turned out he was finished for the championship as well, which most of us suspected would be the case. Model pro though and you couldn't fault his attitude, just his legs were gone and he was a liability most of the time in attack and defence. Wish him well when he leaves though.

Newcastle United's Player Of The Season - 2010.
Papa Lazaru replied to Kevin's topic in Newcastle Forum
Enrique without doubt, as Don Goodman often said during our TV matches he wasn't just our best player but the championship's best player. -
Tremendous scences but, and maybe it's just me, I can't compare them to what we saw at Blundell Park, Grimsby back in 1993. That was something oh so different.... I felt the same. Great appreciation for what they've achieved and very happy, but the night at Grimbsy and that season was in a different league to this. Where we'd been for years, Keegan, the football we played, the genuine optimism at where we were going etc. will never be repeated, but as i say the players and staff have put the effort in for us this year and it was well deserved.

I did love his insistance that you can take freekicks from anywhere you like, preferably never on the spot it actualyl happened!

Top class from Plymouth, playing we are the champions and especially Balydon races when they've just been put down and we're all over their pitch.

Wow, now that is insulting, and nonsense of course. It's as banal as saying that everybody is the same. Also comparing the church with academia? Hmmm. Somebody's going to have to run it by me how atheism - an absence of belief in any God or Scripture - can be described as dogmatic as well. Sounds like an oxymoron to me. Yep the first quote is nonsense. If your an atheist you dont believe in god - end of. Its not a case of being fundamentalist or dogmatic. Dawkins doesnt advocate war or persecution like many religious leaders do. As Richard Dawkins has said, there is not the slightest scrap of evidence for the existence of a god. Thats a fact, its not being dogmatic Theres no comparison between the rational, evidence based approach of Dawkins and the sometimes fanatical comments made by religious leaders whose doctrine is largely based on mumbo jumbo nonsense from thousands of years ago. Is anyone going to provide some examples of his so called annoying comments? Exactly, you can't get two people who are much further apart than Dawkins and the Pope! And if i were Dawkins i'd take incredible offence at being likened to a homophobic, nazi who deliberately protects child rapists.

Blair is very money driven now - probably down to his harpie as much as him. Brown isn't exactly a council house lad but I don't think he's loaded - his dad was a church minister I think. Brown was educated in a state school. In general, it is fair to say that the tories are much more priveleged than politicians from the Labour party, and the two leading tories are amongst the most priveleged. How much this matters is a moot point of course. It matters not a jot really whether your rolling in it and well educated like Cameron or "working class" and not well educated like two jags. Only matters that you have the right ideas for that moment in time and can inspire and lead a great government. Depends on how much influence your background has on your ideas I'd say. In my opinion this lot will never help the average man on the street, let alone people from the North East. David and Boris. Is there a single person in that photo who doesn't deserve the title of 'cunt' and a damn good kicking, because i can't find one!

Thought it was more like Toby Young:

Same here, they deserved the name "Dirty Leeds" and deserved to miss out on the number of trophies they shouldhave won because they were an awful, dirty bunch of bastards with a complete cunt for a manager. They could play great football so there was no need for the entire team to be the way they were which meant any admiritation you had for their football went out the indow because they were such a disgrace. Cloughy had them right and of course made a point of tellimg them all when he took over as boss, which they didn't like! Other teams would have their hard man/hard men (or thugs, depending on your view) and their footballers, Revie and Leeds decided to have a team full of pricks and deserve any stick they get. Put it this way, Clough got football 'right', Revie got it wrong imo. Exactly, and its why Cloughie is remembered as a legend and Revie isn't outside of Leeds. Its one of the many reasons Keegan and his team deserved a trophy here for playing lovely football, no nastiness or cheating, no bothering refs and players who weren't arseholes.

Me too, be happy to sign O'Hara, not Senderos, assuming Ashley would provide anywhere near enough finance to get eitger of them that is!
