If we don't get goal scorers in we are fucked simple as that. Shearer is a year older than last season and didn't score enough in the prem, Shola won't score enough, Chopra is very unlikely to and Dyer will get injured. To add to that our current batch of midfielders apart from Bowyer average about 2 goals a season so they won't bail the strikers out. Its just unbelivably piss poor management from Souness and Shepherd to have us in this state this close to the season. I mean to me its obvious that goals win matches, and since we didn't score enough last season my plan would be keep the few who did score, or look like scoring goals (Bellamy, Kluivert, Robert, Ambrose) and bring in more players who score!!! But his plan is dump the players who score, bring in more who don't score (much though i rate Emre and Parker they are not goals scorers), rely on strikers who won't get enough and build your team round Dyer who never lasts a whole season...the man is a genius!

These things are always crap as these iditots have no understanding of the difference between dirty, cheap shotting cowards and actual hardmen. Some of the modern ones in their are laughable, Rooney, Viera, terry, even Bowyer! Shearer would knock any of the current ones on their arse without batting an eyelid if it actually came down to a fight. Keane is half and half he is probably hard but he's not in the same league as some of the real hardmen out there.

Everbody knows fine well he is a 4-4-2 manager and through his idiocy and childish tantrums has left himself with a squad that is so small and unbalanced he's trying these other formations he doesn't understand to hide how much he's fucked up. What will happen is the same as lasts eason when he pissed about we'll be lacking in width but playing the likes of Shearer and Shola who need width in their team. We'll see the fullbacks exposed as people attack us because the coaches/manager haven't organised it properly and we'll see the quality midfielders like Emre and Parker looking for options and finding none. Souness is tactically inept when using what he is comfortable with, when using soemthign new he'll be cluesless.

Believe it or not, criticising the manager on an internet message board doesn't affect the teams performance on match day at st James!!! Thats why people do it on here and then back the team when we play, its not rocket science. If Souness has had ANY sales forced on him by Shepherd or has had any signings forced on him by Shepherd he can come out and tell everybody about it. Until he does he takes the responisbility for every player who has left this club: Bellamy - Wrong Robert - Wrong Hughes - Wrong Ambrose - wrong or should have been year loan O'Brien - Correct Butt - Correct but not on loan should have got money (tho this is Freddies fault) The Hughes sale was just so pointless, a model professional who covers RB and CB and at a stretch can play LB (certainly better than Elliot) and who is great to have when injuries start and to have on the becnh as cover. Now if he'd sold Hughes and brough in a top class CB, RB and LB i wouldn't have a problem, but he didn't and won't.

I'm more in favour of just putting tags on the linesman themselves, and when they cock up an easy offside decsion they get a blast of electric charge through their knackers!

Positives: Emre, a player with technique who hence stands out a mile in a Souness team. Parker, looks good and knew he woudl be anyway Set pieces, hit and miss but some good balls played in Negatives: Same shit manager same lack of creativity, goals, variation and pace same stupid mistakes and lack of organisation due to piss poor coaching the squad being way too small highlighted when Elliot gets a game at LB strikers missing sitters when we finally did create something

And how depressing is it that thanks to the management we are left with a squad which couldn't have coped with europe, its embrassing. If our manager thinks Elliot is good enough cover for left back (and an injury prone LB at that) he's got problems. Parker and Emre look good as we knew they would be, but our lack of creativity is unchanged as ever under Souness. Both strikers missed sitters when we finally did create something, still good job we got rid of Bellamy and Kluivert isn't it!!! And i have major worries over 4-3-3 under Souness as the man has no concept at all of what he is doing because to quote the man himself "I'm a 4-4-2 man, always have been and always will be" This menas he has no idea what he's playing but is using it because he fucked up his squad meaning he hasn't got the players left for 4-4-2. Great start but we have to build on it and take full advantage of Mcgrath's absence.
