Me and my mates have used that before, gets some strange looks from people who are either religious or don't know the two original sayings

True, Shepherd is a tit but players don't really give a toss who their chairman is as long as they are happy with the club/manager/wages.

1. Taylor - getting better and better 2. Clark - a shot on goal is enough to be 2nd! 3. Parker

You can easilly do an end of season review now as it may as well be over! Also did anyone notice in the West Ham game they announced Taylor as mon of the matcn with 10 minutes to go! It was basically them saying, well we know Souness team is going to do fuck all else in 10 mins so we may as well decide MOTM now with no fear of anybody snatching a goal or something!

Whether people rate our fullbacks or not they both suffer massively from our managers shite tactics. They are frequently left exposed in defence with no midfielder in front of them or outnumbered 2 to 1. And when they try to attack they often find no width in front of them because of the crap formation so they have to just pass it back or sideways and we go mowhere. But anyway defence is for one easilly the least of our worries, pace, creativity and goals, are our concerns!

George? 15543 Or the voice of Duckman for people who've seen it!

It stemmed from some graffiti on the toilet wall in the ladies' at the Trent. I got bored of said argument pretty quickly! 15558 Just because you were wrong But yes it was infinitely better than discussing the match and NUFC in general!

Correct, every time i go to St. james undetr this fuckwitt i find myself watching the same game over and over again. Against a recently first division side undeservedly down to ten me we could have played all day and wouldn't have scored, yet they looked as if they might. Souness is making us an embarassment and more than that is making me hate going to the match before, during and after.

Always gets a cheer sadly i think we may have heard the last of it now!

Yes, thats a good point. I remember a free kick routine towards the end of last season (might have been in the uefa) when Taylor blocked the path of the guy marking Shearer allowing Al a free header and goal. Definite training ground routine. 15377 We've used that a few times, espeically in europe. The best example i remember was against Inter at home where Taribo West was going ape shit at our player blocking him from his previous activity of grabbing as much of Shearer's shirt as was humany possible! But i've seen Taylor be far more "creative" than that training ground one and he's more than once saw an opposition player heading towards one of ours and blocked them off totally before they got near allowing our player to build a move up and missed completely by the oficials!

It summed up the total lack of brains in our manager and chairman. Young player, who was starting to look promising in the premiership, has a great eye for goal totally lacking in some of our players, has the height and build to mix it in the prem and has never had a fair run in the team for them to say he wasn't good enough. But if that wasn't stupid enough, we sell him! Every other manager has the brains to loan these players for a season and see how he does, not give him away for next to nothing and then look stupid if he comes good.

I totally disagree! One of the great things about Taylor is he is totally professional and cynical and does anythign to win and has clearly been coached by Tony Adams when he was his boss. He understands that cynical players and teams win the trophies, whether its by sneakilly fouling attackers before the ball arrives so they're off balance, pretending he was hit in the face to try and avoid a sending off for handball or whatever he knows you play to win. Watch him whenever he is fouled, he ensures he gets his freekick, maybe even see if they get booked then he gets up and gets on with it, the way you should, Compared to some of pur players who do their utmost to help the opposition from being penalised and end up losing the ball and gettign nothing sometimes! 15367 Hmmm, if you're right he needs to practice the sneaky part a bit more. Its only sneaky if the ref doesn't see it. 15371 Well i watch him and he's gotten away with it numerous times, which is the point, obviously the odd one gets seen but its worth it for the advantage you gain off all the unseen ones. I've also seen him do a few off the ball obstructions on players before they could get to whoever had the ball on our team. On a seperate point he also stands up for himself and his team mates better than most of our team. I remember a game when Bowyer and another player were scuffling and whilst the rets of our team did their usual hiding act he strode straight in, grabbed their bloke and dumped him on the ground to help his team mate, we need more of them backing each other up.
-
Its the same with Shearer, he plays to win, not be nice. Also Bowyer is another who makes sure he gets every freekick he's entitled to and who plays cynically, he also can take it too far and be dirty, but the point is managers/players with the cynical, win at all cost attitude are the ones with the trophies! You watch games vs manu, or arse, if you are outplaying them and looking like winning (and the ref hasn't yet helped them as he surely will!) they will start to kill the game, little fouls, break it up and try to break your rhythm, maybe even a couple of dirty tackles, they don't like people beating them and do anything to change it.

Why didn't they just condense that whole article into the phrase: "I manage a club that will never be able to compete with NUFC if both want the same player and god am i bitter about it"
-
It was Man Utd, but Houillier was after him before he signed his pro-contract with us. 15285 Nope, it was Liverpool, and it was from last week. Obviously he'll deny it now, but I've got it saved as an MSN conversation 15288 Fairly do's, thought it was Man Utd when he posted it on the other board. 15317 Orignally when he was first being mentioned and was due to step up from youth to full time player with us, the papers at the time said that Manu, Liverpool and i think others were all after him as he was so highly rated and fortunately he remained with us. Can't remember if that was just local papers like the chronicle or national as well, but definitely he was wanted by Liverpool and Manu according to the articles i read.

Stand on those scales with both feet now! 15171 And stop hanging from that bar on the ceiling 15173 Cock off, c-words. 15174 And put that pie down 15175 No, not that pie, the other one, the really big one!

Now we see why intelligent managers have a squad with depth especially in crucial areas like scoring goals. And also why intelligent managers do not build their team/plans around injury prone players like Dyer. We should have known Emre would be out the second he looked good for us!
-
Its hilarious to hear that fuckwitt Hughes whinging about problems with Wales over Bellamy, what a hyposcritical cunt he really is. He's basically just a serial whinger dating back to his manu playing days where of course he had the right to moan, whinge and complain at wil and refs would give him what he wanted. He never stops moaning about the dirty reputation Blackburn have as if its not their fault. If your team goes out to kick the shit out of the opposition for 90 mins every single game, then people will have a go at you, but the little prick can't handle it.
-
Good job it wasn't maths!
-
Why would you want him, when you the defensive dinamo Bramble to come back. 14694 You'd be surprised. Away from the area the lazy media still obsesses over his old reputation they had made for him and hasn't bothered to actually pay any attention whatsoever to his game. He was outstanding, cutting out the concentration problems he suffered from and has everything a CB could want, Pace, strength, aerial dominace, crunching but well timed tackling and he has better control and passing than some of our midfielders from last season.
-
The worrying thing is though, if you give Shearer's pens to Shola (and he scores them) he would have 5 to Shearer's 4, and thats our current strikeforce!!!
-
Just deserts for the wanker that is Mark hughes and any chance that he won't play against us is great news as he will cause us a shitload of problems if he does play against us with a point to prove to Souness.
