You mean he's not real? There's another week of prayers down the drain. 16969 I only said he's ludicrous, not that he isn't real, of course he's real, he's talking through me right now....eat more spaghetti my child and you shall have the power of a demi-god!!!!!

Am I the only person who thinks Souness is alright
Papa Lazaru replied to Ketsbaia's Mobile's topic in Newcastle Forum
Thats the problem, even if the defence is looking better thanks to Souness plan to take a small squad and make it smaller we are buggered once injuires hit. If Baba is out (highly likely) we have Elliot (nowhere near good enough) or Taylor wasted out of position. If Carr is out we again likely see Taylor out of position and with no Bramble would have Moore in the middle (if fit!) 16984 If only we had a really good player who could play anywhere across the back four - pretty good as well. Someone like, ooh, let's say Aaron Hughes? 16989 You're not allowed to say that, people will claim you are saying he's world class or something if you question selling him -

Always wanted to see NUFC win a trophy before he died, sadly he never did despite reaching the age of 115

Class! And as is their intent they made it to be no more ludicrous than the stuff these idiots actually want to teach as fact in some schools!

I was never against signing Viduka as long as it wasn't costing too much. He's proven in the prem and capable of scoring, but has problems with injury and disappearing for parts of the season. My main problem was that the smogs would want way more than he's worth gambling on.

To think, most mackems would have started this season with their twin ambitions being finish 4th from bottom and finish 1 place above the toon. We are rapidly heading towards having exactly the same ambitions as they would have!

Even if you used it in that fashion you were still at the time avoiding providing an answer of a valid, realistic replacement for the bloke you wanted kicked out who we could get and who was guarenteed to be an improvement. So you can hardly knock other people for wanting Souness out without having 100% settled on who we should get and how we 'll get them. 16703 Well actually I can because I was using it in a flippant "Why should I if you won't" fashion. I fail to see how that precludes me from ever again asking someone if they have a replacement in mind for the manager that they constantly demand be sacked. 16704 Allright then you can ask them, but it makes you a collossal hypocrite 16705 It doesn't like, but thanks for the permission. 16706 Your welcome! And as you know fine well you're showing the perfect dictionary defintion of a hypocrite! You can demand Robert out with no viable replacement, but others can't demand Souness out with no viable replacement. The main problem i imagine people have with sacking him is that we basically have to write off the season, well if we keep him we have to write off the season as well! What i want Shepherd to do is starting now go and find a top class replacement by seeing exactly who is willing to take over, and when he knows sack Souness. And i'm aware of quite how underhand that is, but i don't care as long as NUFC benefits by getting rid of a tosspott and bringign in a top class manager. Of course one problem is the shortlist Fat Fred would sraw up of who to ask about the job and the fact it may well be missing all the best candidates!

Its true, even when we are a mess we have the money and reputation left to pay people that means you can still be surprised as to who we may get. Both Emre and Parker show that as if a smaller, less well known club were in exactly the same position as us, neither would have signed, they signed because we are NUFC. Theres also the argument that Souness is such a disaster that anything is better than allowing him to continue his wrecking job. And i agree with Isegrim, i'm thought i remembered Gemmill using the "Not my job to find a replacement" in the Robert argument when those of us pro-Robert kept asking his haters to line up some realistic and viable replacements guarenteed to do better than him.

Exactly, do it on their time not yours Seriously though, i don't see any problem with going at work at all unless they have hideous bogs or something.

If his continual geordie based ramblings are true, or at least he believes it then you're right, it would be great to hear 50,00 at St. james chanting "Shepherd is a mackem" 16553 Fuck that, I want the whole crowd singing it 16559 Honestly though i do think 50,000 of us chanting he's a mackem would be worth seeing!

That sums it up. Also Bobby took over a complete mess of a team that had been going nowhere for a while, Souness took over a team who'd finished 4th, 3rd and 5th and whilst not at their best only needed a few changes in and out and some new ideas/motivation to be up there challenging for a minimum of 5th. -

Yes, tell them thats your final valuation of the ticket, that its a good and fair offer and that you won't increase it a penny, then tell them you'll throw Hugo Viana in as a makeweight!
-
Well if both those players have rejected Everton there should be a good chance we can get them, thats the way it works usually isn't it!!!

Don't feel sorry for Souness, for God's sake, this is at least partly his fault. Oh, and he won't resign, because that would mean know pay-off. He's going to be handsomely rewarded for his part in wrecking our club. 16446 I know, i'm sick to death of people saying they feel sorry for Souness! For fuck sake (or jesus wept!) the man is getting paid a fortune to fuck us up and will ge another fortune if he's sacked for doing a shite job! As for him not getting the money to buy players, well theres fecking hundreds of managers around not getting the money they want, some however will do a good job regardless because they have talent, brains, tactical knowledge and haven't got rid of players they needed. I don't feel sorry at all for somebody who is getting paid obscenely to ruin my club, nor would i feel sorry for Shepherd is 50,000 fans spent 90 minutes callign him a fat cunt in the next home game. Neither deserves any sympathy as they are both pricks who if they had any decency and charater about them (and actually cared a toss about the fans) would resign right now and not take a penny from us, hands up who thinks either of them have that much dignity???

He signed Faye, Baba, Moore and none of those are cracking! as for Boum, if somebody gave me £8m for a CB i'd get you a cracking signing its not hard! He would have sold Solano if he actually managed him because he isn't a "proper" player, by that i mean he has creativity, skill and an eye for scoring a setting up goals, but he can;t and often won't tackle and he doesn't alwys track back. He's also a winger and Souness says they don't exist so he'd have sold him. Cort would score more than Shola! He picked a childish fight with Bellamy to act the hard man and pretend he was ridding us of the problem, when the problem is still in chrage of the team Bellamy had finally got his finishing level to near where it should be and was never all about goals, he transformed the team when he played and to use our manager's wording "Proper" football fans understand the real value of Bellamy without merely looking at goals scored -
we've got shearer, ameobi, dyer and chopra. what's your problem.? 16382 Shearer's shit, Ameobi's shit, Chopra's shit and Dyer isn't really a striker. 16385 Harsh but mostly true! Shearer is understandably (with his age and terrible injuries) nearly past it and offering nothing under the current formation. He can no longer be relied on at all away from home and at home requires top class service to score now, which he won't be getting. Shola has yet to do antyhing to inspire confidence in people he can score enough goals or even play to premiership standard consistently. Chopra hardly set division 2 alight so is unlikely to destroy premiership defences Dyer looks easilly our best striker on the basis of his games up there last season, and he is a midfielder who averages about 4 goals max a season! I actually think if fit and having a run in the team Dyer will do well, but his finishing is far from proven up front and i'd much prefer to see two class strikers with Dyer in midfield adding to the attack.

Booing is crap for two reasons. 1. Its the noise a 5 year old makes at a pantomime and is incredibly sad when made by grown men (and women!) 2. It could be aimed at anybody from the players/manager/chairman/refreee/linesman/oppositon team or manager If people want to have any effect at all it has to be chants directly aimed at Souness and/or Shepherd.

And make sure there's access for whhheeeeelllchairrrrss! Anyway according to teletext they've both denied it
