Thats it, he's a mackem, so fucking what! He's a cricketer and he would be giving everything for his country, thats all i'd care about.

Goes for me too. If people are on a night out in a club and either pissed or off their heads on drugs i'm sure there is some appeal/purpose to dance music. But i cannot ever understand how anybody could listen at home to that stuff when stone cold sober! And i'm well aware that "dance" is a term that covers a whole range of sub genres which are often nothing like each other, but i find them all shite, just to varying degrees of how offensively bad they are. Whats worse is how little talent some of it requires, press a few buttons, repeat stuff a load of others have doen in that genre begore and write lyrics a 5 year old could manage. And for the ones often in the charts theres always the option of taking an old/older song and ruining it by turning it into a shitty dance track.

An example of the sad mackems found on RTG: They must be so proud! Whilst the nation is backign the england team and rejoicing in how great it is to watch, they are concerned with having a sad banner with fuck the mags on (at a cricket match FFS!) and showing it to one of Englands many heroes. They really are an embrassement to footy fans sometimes!

How are Pink Floyd not easy on the ears?! Sid Barrett's solo stuff, now that's hard on the ears, mind, soul... 21683 They're not easy for the sort of people who listen exclusively to the sort of shite our charts are filled with, the very idea of a song thats anything from 5-15 minutes is scary!!!

I would like Earnshaw at this club even if we got Owen, as we would need cover for Owen to prevent us looking as teethless as we do now when he's out injured. Would not cost the world and could do a job here.. 21671 Thats the thing, even if by some miracle we get Owen, we still need another striker and a further one in January.

Pete Doherty.... The Biggest Prick In Showbusiness
Papa Lazaru replied to Tooj's topic in General Chat
If he was actually talented it would make some modicum of sense that the meida is continually full of his imbecellic smackhead antics, but the fact that he isn't anything special whatsoever just shows what an embarassment our society is at times that anybody should give a shit about him. -
Always a guarantee of quality 21654 Yes, sales isn't relevant in which is best! Though in this case the one that's sold the most is the best of the two.

I've heard people saying to be officially called the best team in the world we will have to go and beat the aussies in their country. But theres a problem with that, if we beat them now we still aren't "the best" under that rule. So if we go there and they win, we still aren't the best, but they can't be either as they only beat us at home and to be the best they have to beat us in England, it could go on forever!!! Its only short term but the winner of this ashes series between the two best teams around is going to be rightly hailed as the best. Then ulitmately we need to be looking to go and beat them in their country to go down as an alltime great team in the sport.

*OWEN ARRIVES IN NEWCASTLE FOR TALKS**
Papa Lazaru replied to Optimistic Nut's topic in Newcastle Forum
Yes, he's got Owen in a headlock whilst Shepherd hits him until he signs the contract! 21614 A good old chinese burn, thats whats needed. 21618 And apparently Bellamy phoned Owen and told him Shearer is an old bastard who nobody wants to play with anymore! -

Thats not a reccomedation that somebody is good Though if Kluivert had been fit and played more games and Bellamy had a full season here, both would have comfortably outscored him. That Shearer and Shola can't outscore him is worrying.

Could it be that France have plenty of world/international class players, i'm a Robert fan but don't think he's the greatest player in history. And anyway Emile Heskey has nearly as many England caps as Beardsley got, is that a sign that the two are as good as each other? We managed to afford the "luxury" under Bobby when we for a whole at least had Robert and Solano who were both similar in terms of wrokrate and tackling. Of course in those days our team was sent out to play football and score goals, not like the "proper" team we have now.

Wouldn't be a bad squad player. Don't understand the slating he gets on here. 21591 We're supposed to be improving and looking to challenge the top 4 and the top 6 minimum, he isn't of that standard so isn't a player we should be considering. A young striker who people maybe don't yet rate highly as say our 4th choice is fine, but they will get better, he won't.

*OWEN ARRIVES IN NEWCASTLE FOR TALKS**
Papa Lazaru replied to Optimistic Nut's topic in Newcastle Forum
Thats part of it, I'm sure there are other reasons, isn't there always! 21578 True, though finding out what they are is the challenge! If i was a Liverpool fan i think 'd be annoyed at the lack of spending when you have the platform to go and challenge the top 3 in the prem and the rest of europe as well as bring back Owen. However i would then remember my team had just won the CL and probably be too happy to give a shit! -
*OWEN ARRIVES IN NEWCASTLE FOR TALKS**
Papa Lazaru replied to Optimistic Nut's topic in Newcastle Forum
How is it Liverpool don't have the money? After winning the CL, and being in it again this year and with a pretty safe guarentee of finishing high in the prem this year (more millions) plus all the extra money from tickets, tv and sponsors for euro games, plus not exactly being poor to start with, i would have thought they could find the money...hope they don't mind!!! -
People will instantly dismiss Newell as not being a big enough name, or not being proven, too inexperienced etc. Eventually NUFC may have to gamble on a good young, up and coming British manager who seems to have something about them. I'm not saying particularly Newell, but its not soemthing we ever really do.
-
I think they were saying he wasn't really over this problem that has been hanging around since he got injured towards the end of last season. So i'm worried it could either be a good long lay off to make sure he is 150% right or it could be in and out alls eason with him never being at his best in the games he does play.

*OWEN ARRIVES IN NEWCASTLE FOR TALKS**
Papa Lazaru replied to Optimistic Nut's topic in Newcastle Forum
Its been a complicated mess from the start, but its always been very clear that the second Liverpool match the valuation he will go there. Since Liverpool may not match the fee and Madrid may dig their heels in, it may leave Owen with the choice of fulltime at NUFC or back to Madrid reserves. -
I'm sure after the match somebody said Emre had torn his hamstring, that sounds like 4-6 weeks for sure. For rushing those two back to cover for his own cockup in leaving us with an inadequate squad Souness should pay their wages for every game they miss.
-
along with the myth of how bad our defence was under Keegan 21230 Quite. I think people assumed we had a poor defence under Keegan because we played with such flair. Likewise they assume we have a good defence under Souness because we play with no flair whatsoever! Nothing could be further from the truth. 21235 All correct. It was continual media bullshit that Keegan's team had a shite defence, our record was never bad and considering our all out attackign style our record was bloody good! With the negative defensive tactics Souness is playing, full of "proper" hard working tacklers, we should hardly be letting a single goal in at all to compensate for the fact we score very few. However we do still concede goals a plenty under Souness but with the added bonus of scoring none at the other fucking end. And the final nail in the coffin is that with all these defeats we get to watch zero entertainment every match as well for our money.
-
I'd say there is a 100% chance of Fat Fred offering him it first, what chance there is of Shearer accepting i honestly have no idea at all.
-
Well man, FFS, the lad hasnt even trained with the rest of the squad!!!!! And for me, Laurent Robert was a waste of space and yet to LM he was freakin Pele!!! Luque will be far more effective than Robert in the long run, I am certain of that. 21539 I'm sorry, but that is just plain arrogance, no-one can know that. If he scores and supplies half the goals Robert did he will be doing well. Robert was a very capable player in offense, you would have to be very prejudiced to dispute that. He's been getting great reports from Pompey too, even though their team is otherwise quite shit. And it's early days, but we certainly don't look as good without him so far, do we? 21545 Its not just arrogance its utter bollocks until the bloke has been here for a few years and come close to matching the number of goals and assists Robert achieved. But why let that get in the way of another whinge about Robert eh? As for Laurent at Portsmouth, he's currently scored 1, set up 2 and from what highlights i've seen put another two on a plate but his team mates missed them (not his fault) i wish we had somebody doing that for us.
-
True and we have to hate any team who has scored more than us as well...so thats a shitload of hatred!!!
-
The hatred has gone i hear as they are now heading back to being a medicore prem team rather than self styled CL contenders and future of all football
