1. It's class. It's like he's going....."Go on.....sign it.......O.......W......E.....N.....YESS!!!" 24618 Souness: "What you looking at Thompson?" *Phil Thompson slinks away to cry some more*. 24624 That does seem to be the look in his yes! Also Shepherd whilst concentrating hard on Owen signing is clearly looking or about to look incredibly smug, and rightly so!
2. Souness won a cup, whereas Bobby has of course won nothing in his entire career! He rid the team of people he couldn't handle or didn't like thats different, he also rid the team of goals scorers, goal creators and pace. His tactics are those of a child and thus only a child can't see where he is lacking.
3. Its nice...and great! 24553 I was waiting for that like. 24574 It has to be done! But i agree, freeform/avante garde jazz and all that scat nonsense (so called because it sounds shit!) are all bollocks.
4. Which is something he has over Bobby to be fair! 24571 Well you can't knock the choices of Parker, Emre and Owen, we hope Luque is going to be good and he is going after Nobby, the sort of player we lack. I don't particularly trust him with these players, but glad they're here!
5. Blackburn have been acclaimed as starting to play some decent stuff and clearly on the up since Souness left, their only problem is absolutely appalling discipline. As for them having Bellamy, he's been injured and barely played so they are yet to have the benefit of him playing. Yes he won a trophy, and yes we'd love one, but an average to poor manager can win the league cup with a run of a few games against poor sides and the top teams reserves, whereas the true top managers do the business in the league and getting into europe.
6. I'm more than happy for Faye to go, he is not a footballer! But i wouldn't want Millner out as our squad is small enough already and we need to keep our players here and challenging/covering each other when there are injuries and loss of form.
7. As Isegrim says there is no talent required to sign Owen £16m, Luque £9.5m, Parker £6m etc. etc. Everybody knows they are talented players and if you have the moeny you would go for them. Where managers show their ability is in finding players before they cost a fortune and are known to everyone and making he better, by improving players you already have in your squad and most of all by using tactics, formations, motivation, ideas, and any number of other attributes to get the best out of your squad and be successful. So far Souness has shown that given the money he will go after good players, i am still waiting (and hoping) he will show he can do soemthing with these players.
8. Sad bitter ramblings of another sad bitter tosspot in the media who was shooting his load at the prospect of writing and article laughing at how we didn't get him and he was always going to turn us down and now that we have got him, has to come up with some petty load of bollocks.
9. Apparently the fee is £1.5million or £2.5million + Amdy Faye 24521 I was going to say that!!! Jesus wept, if we could sign Owen and Nobby and get rid of Faye in one go i think i'd exoplode!!!
10. The first series of The Smoking Room was decent enough at times, its gentle comedy and every so often drops in a really good line or two and some good interaction between the characters. From what i've seen of the second series it seems as though they may have run out of steam a little and maybe one series was enough, but i haven't watched enough of it to really comment.
11. If he owned the rights he was going to get his money. Anyway New Line can console themselves with the billions they have left!
12. Jesus wept!!! And well done again Big Al!
13. Its very rare for toon players to use the reserves, which is irnoic considering how often w have players coming back from injury. To be honest though i would just settle for managers and coaches who won't bring the players back into the team until they are 100% categorically back to full fitness and will not break down straight away. What i don't want is managers who through their own stupid squad dismantling have little cover and so gamble on the fitness of two players who clearly weren't ready.
14. I predict Owen will score, beyond that god knows what we will do! I suspect an early goal will see us finally get not just a win but a comfortable and heaven forbid enjoyable one!
15. I know what you mean, players are too quick to say these things then ultimately go against it. Like Alan "Mr Leeds, i'll never play for manu" Smith who ended up at manu!
16. It is true. I think it's partly because he has always had a lot more character than Michael and was, in his short-lived prime, a better player; and also because Robbie's a scouser who we know would never even remotely consider playing for Man Utd - we don't get that impression with Owen. I do think though that considering his contribution to the club he probably deserved a bit more singing than he got. 23819 Cheers, its something i've heard many times, that Liverpool fans pretty much all worshipped Fowler but didn't feel the quite same about Owen. Wonder if it bothred him that much not being sung about as much as you'd expect for such a goal scorer? 23833 He was still loved though by almost all fans (just the knee jerk, hyped up sky supporters who used to slag him off) and the club always bent over backwards for him. As I said above, he got a great reception when it was announced he had scored. 23839 Yeah, i was under the impression that obviously Liverpool fans loved him, just not the same as Fowler. And you will get that, every club has a player (or 1 or 2) who are just legends to everybody and can never quite be eclipsed by the next guy.

18. Now come on, say what you really think, no messing about! So has anyone been to the replacement night for Stone Love at Foundation on the thursday?
19. I've always been surprised by how much more Fowler seemed to be loved there than Owen no matter what he did. I'm sure some of the Liverpool fans on here could say if theres much truth in the Fowler/Owen thing and if so why Owen wasn't as popular as you'd expect.
20. I'd be worried about Jones, theres a good chance he won't make it or worse they'll go with him and he breaks down leaving us short a bowler and batting with one man less. I hope he makes it as he was bowlign brilliantly and always makes something happen when he comes into the attack, and looking like he can chip in with a few quick runs at the end of an innings. Also i'd love to see the same team start and finish the whole series and win it.
21. Styles was an annoying little bugger, but he won the world cup
22. Bellamy and Owen could play together, and even if they didn't gel perfectly you'd have one of europes top goals scorers with pace and pne of the fastes players in the game with great movement and an imporoving eye for goal. Defences would ahev shit themselves quite frankly and would have been pulled all over the place. Also it would mean we had to pass the ball on the deck more which i'm sure everybody would want.
