1. Yeah, i'm hoping he has some ability, technique and control because if he has, combined with pace like that he could be a genuine threat. Anybody who is described in the same pace bracket as Bellamy is somebody i want to see play so hopefully he has other things to his game as well.
2. Thats the problem, and its a shame because at times there can be quite a few people on there and a chance for plenty of debate. But it has too many childish pricks who as soon as you disagree with them go into "playground insult mode" and just start making up nonsense and ruin any chance of debate. I have no problem with other people having the oppositte opinion to me, it makes arguments more interesting than us all agreeing, but some of the people on their are incapable of actually arguing the point (whether it be Souness, Bellamy, Robert, tactics, or anything else) and just act like pricks. It also has its share of people who for example want no more mention of Bellamy because they hate him and he's evil and to get no more mention of him they start threads about him, post in other peoples threads about him and keep mentioning him contiunously...what i'm saying is they are complete cocks!
3. I'll ask you seeing that Leazes isn't answering it. When will you drop the whole "Bellamy" subject? 39615 When the last member of this board finally drops dead of course! Seriously...well from my point of view it will ultimately get boring as any topic does eventually if contiunally recycled to the point of infinite. But the quickest way i suspect would be for nobody to post any more threads that have a go at him, his personality or his performances because if that happens then other people will defend him. I know i haven't and never will start a thread about him if he scores goals, plays well or if say Hughes says what a great bloke he is as theres no need, and i don't think Leazes especially starts them so much as joining ones already there. So i think the quickest way to end it is no threads slagging him off started and no threads mentioning his goals etc. started.
4. At the match Alex is totally correct, Shearer never gets knocked and usually has his name chanted after missing a chance whereas Shola gets loads of abuse. They should both be supported at the match as its not going to help any player getting stick on matchday. However away from the match and on message boards Big al has had his share of stick over the last year or two. Have to say much though i have criticised Shearer (when its been justified) the presence of Owen and perhaps the goal/win has really seemed to liven him up. Against man city i saw Shearer chasing down balls and charging at defenders faster and with more enthusiasm than in a long time, he looked much more like we'd expect. He also won more ball without conceding free kicks and could yet play a few more games than i thought. However he still does need rest as he usually fades later on in the season and he still needs a few more goals which hopefully will come soon. This is why i want another striker here, or have to hope that Dyer and Luque (when fit) are going to do enough as strikers if played there.
5. Excuse me lads, but what the fuck has all this religious bollocks got to do with Craig Bellamy exactly? Can we just get back to arguing about him again!
6. Have to say i'm keen to have Dyer back in the team as we have missed his pace, direct attacking and his performances of last season. If he carries on from the way he played before injury in the second half of last season we'll be much better for it.
7. Sounds like Sean Connery to me. 39391 Buying Jenash wash an act of sheer lunashy!
8. He's done that with me before as well. It obviously remembers previous conversations you've had with him when you gave your name, either that or it really is god of course!
9. These days i'd say it is almost guarenteed he did!
10. Neither do I. Players like him are what winning is all about 39295 He is however a complete and utter twat. His highlight being of course the deliberate attempt to end a fellow proffesionals career, but that follows years of beign a prick on and off the pitch...and yes i'd love him to have played for us!!! 39308 He's far from a prick off the pitch. 39323 He was involved in a few incidents away from football, several reported on, maybe not so much in the last few years (apart from twatting some kid or whatever happened). I think he did calm down away from the pitch a bit, but the man is a cock.
11. Well i'm glad he's not improving! Nothing against him but i don't want him to go from what we had the last two years to suddenly being great!
12. True, tho of course the reason they'd then say he was good would be because the bigger clubs back four had improved him! If he played for Spurs the media would already want Sven to take a look at him, now i don't think he should be in the England squad as currenty there are better proven CB's but is he was playing for a cockney team he'd get a mention in the press.

14. Correct. The media in this country are the biggest bunch of lazy tosspots ever born and since they decided long ago that Titus was worse than shite they will of course keep that view till the day he retires reagardless of a succession of excellent performances.
15. Its always been obvious Owen is Shearer's replacement. Same goal threat, same world standing, proven international, massive transfer fee required, complete self belief that they are the best. Its also obvious from Freddie, Souness and everyone who's spoken about it at the club saying Owen IS Shearer's replacement because nobody else could have done it. It was clear the club was putting a shit load of money aside for when the day came we had to get Big Al's replacement with the intention of getting somebody worthy and we certainly have. When the chance to get Owen arose, out came the money that had been kept for Al's replacement. We have not thus far bought Bellamy or Kluivert's replacement and this is where the problem lies. Shearer is near the end of his career and can't play all the time and Owen may get injured. Suddenly we could be looking at Shola and Chopra, unless Dyer and Luque happen to be fit and scoring well as a striker. For me we still lack one striker if Luque and Dyer prove capable there, if they don't then we lack two. 39285 Lets face it, the vast majority of us would have hand picked Owen to succeed Shearer too. Brilliant. But, next year, he needs a partner. Shame Bellamy isn't here because they would have been fantastic, every bit as good as Bellamy would have been with Shearer in his prime. 39287 I'd have loved to watch Owen and Bellamy tearing through defences, with the likes of Emre and Nobby playing the through balls. But since we won't, i hope they are looking to bring in at least another top class striker because Shearer is going soon and Shola+Chopra won't be good enough.

17. Me: Have you been telling Papa Lazaru you don't fancy me? God: I have been all over the world on the Internet. Me: That's not what I asked. God: What did you ask me? Me: Whether you told Papa Laz that you don't fancy me when you blatantly do. God: Would Whether me told Papa Laz that me ever fancy you when me blatantly do? Me: Why are you talking like a baby? You do realise Papa Laz is a hobbit? God: Don't call me "baby". The topic is right question. I think Papa Laz is more than that. Me: Believe me, if anything he's slightly less. God: And slightly less is Believe you if anything he. Me: Have you seen Willow? God: No I have not seen it. What's it like? Me: Fucking tiny tbh. God: Are they exactly the same? Me: I would say Willow's slightly bigger. God: Can you please rephrase that with fewer ideas, or different thoughts? Me: Willow is the bigger of the two. God: What else is the bigger of the two? Me: Danny Devito. God: My brain contains categories, but not one that matches your last input. Eh? 38779 I notice he thought i was "more than that" when you called me a hobbit
18. Me: Gemmil said you fancy him? God: A deeper algorithm is needed to respond to that correctly. Me: do you fancy him? God: If I had it what would I do with it? Me: i've seen him, you wouldn't want to do anything with it God: There exists some male. Me: but not much from what i hear God: Me either. Me: so you've met him too then? God: Interesting deduction. Under the same screen name? Me: well Gemmill isn't his real name And then he disappeared
19. On one of the boards somebody posted an article saying it had been closed down for legal reasons i think and is no more, not sure where the post is.
20. Cheers for not chucking your toys out! I know it's a touchy subject. I hear you on the fans getting under your skin, year in year out. I just always thought it would be amusing and patronising to ignore them. Like Spurs hate Arsenal, but Arsenal hating ManU as they are true rivals. And like England hating Germany but not caring so much about Scotland. 38734 To be honest i don't have any problem at all with any toon fans who don't hate Sunderland, its certainly not obligatory! And part of it is fun really having a hated rival, as i don't go in for any of the violence (fortunately not common) or hating people simply because they're mackems, if they're a decent person who they support doesn't matter. And you're right, the old indifference or not caring about them can wind people up well. Its like with the smoggies, no matter how much they try to make it count, the real derby match is always us versus the mackems and alot of smogs can be wound up by telling them how insignificant the are and that nobody gives a toss about playing them!
21. Its mostly due to the whole local rival thing, you just end up hating them, but then many of their fans will make sure they earn that hatred over the years and so you come to genuinely hate them rather than just do it because you feel you should! And it makes things more interesting, especially when you play them.
22. Me: why did the chicken cross the road God: Because it was a bad chicken and it burned in Hell. So now we finally know!
23. Keep your eye out for this lad at matches: 37973 Cube-ist! 38002
24. Not possible, didn't their fans tell us they were pratically the greatest team in the game and were about to rule all of football!!!
