  1. Barca doing an arsenal now, trying to walk it into the net instead of getting the job done
  2. Would have been a masacre without Almunia, and who would have ever thought that would happen!
  3. Second is touch and go? Yes, its close, plenty of players do it knowing fine well they're offside but gamble on the small chance they'll get a yellow, he's one of the unlucky few who got done for it.
  4. Barca do need that 4th though, anything can happen in football and arse only need one lucky break again and it all changes, especially if wenger had the sense to chuck the big strikers on against no real centrebacks
  5. I'm sure wenger will blame it entirely on the ref, but the fact is Barca have strolled through the entire game on top and Van persie had himself to blame for the first yellow and the second is touch and go
  6. More class football wins the pen, and no arguments on that decision!
  7. What an absolute bellend! Stupidest red card ever?
  8. I would rather play any footballer than Perch, but in this case if its a choice of him and Ferguson i'd go Perch solely to protect the kid, getting a physical battering from the antichrists of football at Stoke won't do the lad any good, he's invariably going to be targeted, so i'd keep him out of this game.
  9. What a dick backheeling it on the edge of your own box!
  10. Strange game from Barca, as ever they are streets ahead in possession and passing it around, but final third their touch and final ball has been pretty poor all round. If they were on their usual game then it'd be about 4-0 by now and game over, but the longer this goes on the more you think the arse might spawn it.
  11. comments like that have a nasty habit of rebounding on you. Unprofessional. Think what he meant was: young players that play the same style of football. Complimenting his style. He also said "it is good for him arsenal have time and no pressure to win titles quickly" Aye, I think this sort of thing can be lost in translation / due to the language barrier, especially as it doesn't seem like Guardiola's style to slag the opposition off. You reckon? Sounds like a quality put down to me He'll be able to say it again tomorrow when Barca win by 3 I actually hope it was a put-down because Wilshire is a cock Yeah, he'll be on twitter tonight calling Guardiola a wanker no doubt To be fair i doubt he mean it as an insult as he doesn't seem the type, but its simple fact anyway, he wouldn't get near their first team.
  12. Aye thats what i reckon, just goes in, gets the job done, theres no hassle about him, i thought he'd struggle but he's been top notch Definitely suited to having Colo as his partner, with him i think Williamson does a steady job, and considering its his first season in the prem and he's pretty young for a centreback, i'm happy enough with his season so far.
  13. As much as i don't want to defend refs, i think at full speed to the ref that would have looked a foul, but the linesman should probably have seen otherwise!
  14. Both blatant reds and would have been if the players weren't playing for manu or liverpool, but carraghers was worse i suspect. However Nanny is a diving cheating little prick so he's had this coming for a long time for his antics, never have any sympathy for cheats when they finally get a clobbering.
  15. Williamson is an average defender, but you can't underestimate how important his partnership with Coloccini is to the team. That was Pardew's biggest mistake yesterday, unsettling the unit at the back. Especially with Guthrie on the bench, there was no need. Not that i think Guthrie is any good out wide particularly, but it would have meant the back 4 left alone with Simpson on Arteta instead of Taylor running away from Arteta and Guthrie whatever people on here think of him, would have offered more going forward than the other two did yesterday.
  16. Difference between the teams today for me. PS I make no secret of how much I detest Man United, so that was a class response by Liverpool fans to the most detestable song in the Premiership: ("We're Man Utd, we'll do what we want") "You're Man Utd, you'll do as you're told". That song sums up manu and the arrgoant bunch of pricks they are, same as their the only bunch of people who with no irony or self awareness at all would call their stadium the theatre of dreams, absolutely cringeworthy. Don't like the scousers either like, but that was a great response! It was taking on new levels of indignation for me recently what with Taggart shortlisting who is and isn't fit to referee Man U games while the powers-that-be stood nodding. Shoved it right back down their throats with that though. And I don't like Liverpool either but they're by far the lesser of two evils. There was an article from Jeff Winter, who is a complete and utter bellend, but his point was a good one for a change. And he pointed out that early in his career he sent off Roy Keane, Fergie kicked off and Winter didn't ref manu for about two years, in which time he'd reffed other clubs 4 and 5 times. Basically its known that the fa are spinless arselicking twats who let him dictate who does and doesnt ref manu, and its still going on, because if clattenburg had actually done his job instead of being a tool, he'd no doubt have been off the "allowed to ref manu" list straight away.

  18. We're both! If we bat well, we don't bowl well and if we bowl well we don't bat well! But one thing about this England team at all levels is when they have a bad performance they always respond and come back fighting, they did it to the aussies in the tests and they've done it twice here going from Holland to India and Ireland to S africa! There is plenty of character there and on their day they can beat anyone, so who knows where we'll end up in this tournament.
  19. Shocking game from Taylor, made the first goal fro them by running to join the centrebacks instead of going out wide where a full back is supposed to be and spent the whole game backing off so far from Arteta the guy had the run of the pitch. I have literally no idea why he and any others who do it, think backing off miles from the attacker and inviting them into the box is of any fucking use! Needs to be made to sit and watch Colocini for the nest few weeks and learn what he's supposed to be doing, you watch Colo and he gets into the right position, near the attacker without diving in and then either try to take the ball in a tackle or shepherd them away from danger, its not rocket science.
  20. Any more good individual performances and theres a chance 1 or 2 might be English soon!

    The FA

Disgrace, but sadly the exact outcome everyone of us knew would be the case. Spineless, biassed bunch of wankers from top to bottom and as people have said Clatenburg is hiding his own gutless initial mistake instead of growing a pair, accepting he's been caught out and changing his decision. However the FA are also hiding, saying they can do fuck all but if they really want to they can, they did it before when Ben Thatcher tawtted somebody, so the rules aren't as set in stone as they like to pretend.
  22. Barry Ferguson apparently. Unsporting or not, there's no need to go shouting about it on Twitter. It's football, gamesmanship has gone on for decades. I agree especially when Arsenal players have been doing similar things for years. Keown against Manure immediately leaps to mind. Precisely. Wilshire for all his talent has shown his lack of maturity in recent weeks. Needs to man up. He's going to devlop into exactly what i'd have expected, talented player, complete prick and spoilt brat, sadly all to easy to predict.
  23. Yes, but then its manu, thats the way it works and always will, spineless refs up their arse and the FA terrified of fergie for no reason whatsoever, what exactly do they think he'll do, whinge more than he already does?
  24. I certainly wasn't going to sing "one Ryan Taylor" when he probably cost us the match for being unable to control a football, but no problem with fans backing our players when it has gone wrong and better next game he plays he remembers the fans support than if he'd been booed off and shouted at.
