  1. But why shouldn't he replace a left back with another left back? Completely misunderstood genius
  2. How depressing it must be for all of them to have been associated with Piers Morgan
  3. But the "moderate Republicans" will never vote for Bernie. The best bet (for those voters) is the Republican in disguise, Bloomberg, presumably, or possibly Biden. Neither of which holds a great deal of merit either.
  4. It certainly is! Given that nearly half the starting 11 were not here under Rafa, and given that some of the others were not playing regularly either, I wonder if the lucky results earlier in the season, which in the main came from incredibly hard work in defensive terms, something which was coached into them by Rafa, and the downturn in standards now, could be related to the coaching perhaps in the intervening period? I wonder
  5. Would make not a jot of difference to his base.
  6. But how much of your body must be in that 30 yard area?
  7. Not where I was expecting you to to with the knitting needles. Surely if you had a time machine, there was a better option you could have considered.
  8. And Bernie Sanders will still be seeking the Democratic nomination
  9. And 8 years, and 12 years, after he persuades sufficient people that MAGA requires a review of 2 term policy - or will the American public finally work him out?
  10. Indeed but not remotely unexpected
  11. If only he was worth £40m - in fact, they are probably worth the same
  12. Must be because I just cannot see the point he is making. He has completely nailed his colours to the Bruce mast and is no longer in anyway capable of being impartial. He just keeps digging that hole.
  13. He used to be good and insightful, so much so that he got banned at one stage I think, but now he seems to be an apologist for the regime. Must really like Bruce.
  14. The bottom line with Ashley is that he wants to make money. He only wants to sell the club when it can't make money (e.g. after relegation) or when someone is willing to pay way over the odds. When Staveley wanted to buy a couple of years ago, she, being appropriately business-like, did her due diligence and offered a price based on the club's risky position. She was a time waster because she was unwilling to pay over the odds. Now, when someone is apparently willing to pay the sale price (or thereabouts), there is less risk of relegation and he will now want much more, and when the goalposts have been moved again, this "takeover" fails, he will blame Staveley again for being a time waster. The only time waster is him, because he wants to be and does not really want to give up his golden goose. I think he will be here for many years yet, because there is no deal which he will be willing to do. Even relegation won't make him sell, because he won't get his investment back. Only a long time in the lower divisions will lead to him giving up, and I am not sure I can really wish that on my club.
