  1. https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/53672007 If the bid is resurrected, and I doubt it will be, you can be sure that any such review and amendment of the test will be rushed through a hell of a lot quicker than 4 months!
  2. Surely the confidentiality agreement, if there is one, is between seller and buyer, not with the PL. On that basis, from where do the confidentiality provisions on which they rely come? If there was an anticipation of confidentiality from the PL by the seller and buyer within the O & D test process, the buyer, at least, has clearly relinquished any rights to confidentiality given what has been said on the buyer's. Therefore, the PL should have no need to abide by it either, and could (and should) provide a statement, at the very least to deny that it held up the process or put unachievable conditions on the test.
  3. By the book, the takeover should have been approved about 2 months ago
  4. Who has a pint of lemonade with their breakfast? And who goes to Wetherspoons?
  5. Neither have I, but I will probably watch the occasional highlight - can't help myself, unfortunately. Been like this for most of my nearly 60 years on this god awful planet.
  6. I think it was more a case that the 3rd umpire decided there was insufficient evidence to change the decision. It was down to the wording of the DRS review system at the time, even though it was absolutely clear. I also remember, during an ODI in Australia one time, Mr Cricket saying "I don't walk, mate". "Do as I say, not as I do"
  7. That is the whole point though, isn't it? We don't want to say yes and we don't want to say no, so if we say nothing the timeframe expires - problem solved! So from that point of view, not at all shambolic. However - CUNTS!
  8. Need I say more? That came as a result of Darren Lehman saying he should be made to go running home to mummy by the crowds. The same person who did not like it when similar "banter" was given to David Warner in SA before sandpapergate!
  9. The problem is that selectors think you need fast bowlers in Australian conditions, and then pick the quickest bowlers, not necessarily the best. That is how bowlers like Tremlett and Rankin got to go, but they were told to pitch it short, and did not target the stumps. Broad and Anderson were clearly told the same, which meant that they lost the ability to take wickets and were punished for it, because they did not have the raw pace to make the batsmen uncomfortable.
  10. Having said that their collective heads are going to explode when our takeover fails and their's goes ahead, however much of a chancer he is.
  11. We don't want any of that foreign lingo!
