At least with the Lions squad there, as well, giving them practice matches, it may show that Mahmood (or someone else) should be to the main squad. I agree about Overton. We have too many similar players, and I don't see him getting a game unless there are a significant number of injuries. Of course, he is reasonable with the bat, which is always a determining factor when you have a top 7 which is likely to fall in a heap.

Perhaps he thought training was optional. Bruce certainly did.

I wouldn't have Clark anywhere near the first team. The only reasons for him to be there are that he speaks English and is left-footed. Not good enough reasons, clearly, and not good enough for the PL. Should have been sold in the summer, but presumably was given a 15 year contract instead.
