Hope he sues the fuckers. I think the alleged illegality was around transmitting the photos of someone under 18, but if they didn't have that issue clarified before publishing (and presumably the police have done so to have decided charges aren't appropriate) then they are looking at a large compensation claim (again).

I gather it was more because the tabloids had heard he had gone into rehab, so was getting ahead of the game, but being open is probably good for him in the long run and stuffs up the relevant tabloid's "exclusive" at the same time.
