I don't feel Christmassy at all. Got all the decorations up, its fucking freezing etc but it just feels like any other day. Been the same for the past few years.

I've just got a couple of pairs of shoes for Christmas this year, bought them myself and gave them to Santa to wrap. Probably will get a few surprises as well, as well as socks which I actually really need this year!

Never really been there. Probably try and get a ticket for the Sheffield United match though. Its got two nice streets - West Street where all the pubs are, and Division Street which is full of posh designer shops. Thats about it! Maybe its just because I live there and i'm sick of seeing the same sights, but it is pretty shit.

Are you doing a tour of the shittest cities in the UK? Middlesbrough? A city? I have the amazing privilege of living in both places. Sheffield's alright, its totally redeveloping though the entire city is one big construction site with cranes everywhere. Give it a few years and it'll be canny.

Went to Meadowhall in Sheffield the other day, jesus christ, you stopped walking for about 2 seconds and someone would barge you out the way! I've tried to do the majority of my shopping on the net this year to save the hassle.

Been accepted on any? Got rejected for the Civil Service Fast Stream, knew I had though totally fucked up the test. Fancy going into some kind of public sector work though so that was annoying to not get in. Passed the one for some management thing at ASDA's head office in Leeds, had one of those all day assessment centres but didn't get in. Was 8 of us and only 1 got through apparantly, but when they phoned me up the feedback was ridiculous. Apparantly i'd put my hands in my pockets 'a couple of times' in 8 hours which reflected badly on me. Talk about nitpicking! My lass is applying for some of the law ones, and despite being predicted a 1st, she's finding it really competitive. Reckon she'll just end up applying for jobs the normal way. Yeh I think i'm going to do the same. In an ideal world i'd like to be on one of these schemes, but each firm only has about 50 places on average across the country, with thousands applying to it. Just going to try and concentrate on getting a job full stop in June, then i'll worry about career prospects later.
