There was a post on N-O that said something like Viduka is fucking shit, Milner is fucking shit, Owen is shit etc....but Martins at least gave his all. The amount of bumming he gets is mental.

This thread sums up Allardyce's problems in many ways. There isn't a best XI as such which leads to him chopping and changing every game, meaning the team doesn't gel and we end up watching disjointed rubbish.

I'm looking forward to hopefully promotion at work, saving some money up and moving into a nicer place.

I've been willing to give Allardyce time, but coming out with statements like this is ridiculous. I could understand if he'd inherited someone else's team halfway through a season, but on Boxing Day he signed 6 of the 11 and two of the subs brought on. Should he not look at himself first?

I'm sure there is a happy medium but its not going to come after 19 games.

You want me to bore you with a list of managers who are better than Allardyce ? Only the ones who you think are feasible targets (ie available and would consider coming up here), would guarantee a higher league position and play more attractive football. That should help you narrow it down. Exactly, its not easy. Anyone can name better managers than Allardyce but it doesn't mean they'll come here. Re, Houllier - he had a lot of success at Liverpool but if we're not happy about the football being played, that was probably his biggest downfall there.

Its only stayed in the news so long because they've not found a body really. In previous cases of child disappearances, eg those 2 girls in Soham, Sara Payne etc the body is found within a few weeks. The fact its 6 months or so just adds to the mystery and it fills collumns for the newspapers. Its getting a bit annoying now but I can see why the media have continued it. The white, pretty, middle class argument is bollocks aswell imo - how many times do kids go missing in circumstances like this?

Here. Piss poor again yesterday and a lot more evidence of him taking the huff when things didnt go his way. Not to worry tho, he's top scorer and thats all that counts. Indeed. Martins has a fan-boy following up there with Kluivert and Luque, I don't understand it. Enough people were quick to judge Smith when playing in midfield... And Smith has rammed that judgement down peoples throats when he's been played in his correct position ??? No, but Martins clearly has.
