A mate of mine says Ratcliffe is authorising a loan for him to join West Ham so West Ham can have the funds to buy Wan Bissaka.

This happened to us in Tenerife last year, except it was was 4 days out from the start of the holiday in October half term. We were all Inc and the pool and bars were closed so they were offering us to use the facilities in a sister hotel 800m away. Jet2 said they couldn't do anything so I cancelled it, looked online and found a place with TUI last minute in Cape Verde. Probably turned out to be a better hol than the one we had initially booked.

Generic small time football blather thread FOREVER
Chaser replied to Sonatine's topic in Newcastle Forum
I wonder if they'll consider his comments under the Terrorism act and have him in front of the Crown beak by dawn.... Or they'll just accept his "in the heat of the moment apology" given he's not a baldy fat lad with a few England Tatts. -
Garmin is where it's at. Mines had some dogs abuse and it still looks new over 2 years later. Ridiculously tough. Battery gets hammered if you're using the mapping function in activity mode but generally get about a week before charge.

Who hopes Palace get relegated and Guehi leaves on a free?
Chaser replied to Kid Dynamite's topic in Newcastle Forum
Yeah. I'd take Guehi for another season of the Murph and Miggy show. -
Is it pronounced Tea ow, Tea or, Theei ow or Thee orr?

I think the club should do everything in its power to keep Eddie happy. He's the 21st century Keegan, and I'd struggle to see anyone come in with his passion for the club, ambition and attractive football, as well as his contribution in giving us a club we should all be proud of. He galvanises the fans and players alike and seems to have a clear vision about how we should play, some other clubs at the top of the PL would cry for that kind of direction. As long as he finishes the season with us in a Euro position then I don't think he would bail out or be pushed out.

When Mitchell was speaking this week he mentioned they both had a lot of respect for each other but fell short of saying anything else. Eddie probably thought he was shot of a SD when Ashworth disappeared and is probably perplexed at the role the other guy has, making sure injuries don't stack up when you've got coaching staff and physio staff already alongside each other.
-
Had a few bad games, got injured, has featured on the wrong side for England which all helps to form the narrative (along with Tinos performances) that maybe we would be better without him. If he feels like he needs to go, then I don't think the club should stand in his way, however if we don't need to sell, and he wants to stay then I certainly don't think we should be looking to push him out

Much like his team selection.
-
He must be bewildered as to why he's not getting an opportunity if he's fit, and I'm sure he's not happy his given up his summer just to be a spectator.

I can see us getting past the Dutch, I'd have been less confident against the Turks. If we get to the final against France and beat them I hope Trips rubs Mbappes broken nose in it.

I'm not sure if many of the Tories actually believed in some of their headline policy. Cleverly basically said the Rwanda policy was a load of shit and even Sunaks final speech seemed completely polarised to what they were trying to do. Maybe Sunak really didn't want to do Rwanda but was pressured by the loonies and thus called the election to put a stop to it and save face. I'm no Conservative apologist but I do think there are decent people on both sides of the debate.
-
I know theres a lot of left leaning commentary in here but what comes of the Conservatives next? There's not many to choose from, Badenoch and Braverman will surely want to throw their hand in but there must be some more credible candidates. I say this because I don't want to see the likes of those or Farage, leading an opposition.

On reflection, whilst the polls indicate the Tory implosion rather than the Labour explosion, I think Labour have played a very straight bat during this election. No gaffes, kept all sides quiet. There's been no big statement promises but I hope Starmer just gets on with the job of fixing the big holes in the country in the same way that he's tidied up the Labour party since 2019. I'm all for dull politics for the next 4 or 5 years if it means we move away from the populist nonsense that is gaining traction on the other side. It's been mentioned that the new government will be the most working class cabinet EVER therefore I hope we see a new kind of politics which GENUINELY focuses on bottom up rather than top down.

Does Alistair Campbell sleep? I left him on C4 last night in the early hours and woke up this morning and he's still on!?

I think some of these Portuguese players can't wait to see the end of the Ronaldo show.

Given the upset on twitter over the sale of Anderson, can you imagine how bad it would have been had we had Twitter in January 1995?

Who are we landing next, 3rd choice striker maybe?
-
So is Kvaratskhelia

Zero chance of anything really changing against the Swiss, Southgate will still play the same 9 or 10 players (he's got to swap out Guehi)
-
As well as the previous 3 games with the same tactics and players.

Foden and Bellingham have been absolutely dogshit, Foden seems to be hiding behind the defenders.
