I would get yourself down the quacks if you're puking blood. Sleep deprivation is a horrible thing. I used to do a run of 7 nightshifts in a row. The first few were a nightmare. Id get in at 7ish, be asleep pretty much straight away (was so tired) but then was wide awake by Midday if not earlier. I was having to concentrate just on staying awake around the 4-5am mark. Just as I was about to get used to it, I was on rest days.

Wheres all the daft 'ammers gathering aroung the SSN cameras?

:elvis: I was particularly proud of "I may not have Walcott to give but El Hadj Diouf I'll give to you" Probably post of the day. Best song from you yet.

a very good point. we need the league to be more open So ok, we get 20 Billionnaires who buy every club in the Premiership. 3 clubs go down, the same 3 then come back up. I know its not a given that cash will always result in survival but it makes getting into the Prem more and more difficult and even harder to survive once up. The Premier League have always been in it for extracting as much money as they can from the brand. Game 39 will no doubt rear its ugly head once again in an attempt to further market the brand and further remove the game of football away from its grass roots.

Putting aside our current plight, with City being given serious investment, are these foreign billionnaires ruining football as we know it? Since Abramovich took over Chelsea, ploughing his cash into the club and taking them from also rans to Champions, there has been more pressure from the clubs around them to seek their own billionnaires or mega-rich consortiums and as a result, we now have 4 or 5 clubs who are creating a gap between the rest of the premiership which seems increasingly more difficult to breach. The news that Man City plan to bid for arguably 4 or 5 of the greatest players in world football today only seems to highlight a worrying trend that to have league and European success, money, and not team building is the only way to achieve this. As the top 4 or 5 become ever more predictable, those clubs outside of this elite group are not getting money from European competition and so seemingly cannot compete if these clubs bid for players, as we have seen with the sales of Robinho and Berbatov. The Abu Dhabi investors at City have released a statement that they want to buy Ronaldo for £134m, a fee which is greater than the GDP of Tonga. To acheive their other targets, it suggests that they will be prepared to pay whatever it takes to secure the services of these players, and in a business where money talks, players could be persuaded to relocate from clubs with sunnier climes and greater heritage to the blue side of Manchester or London. The pursuit of success not only makes it less competitive at the top but creates a domino effect right down the league, and there are clubs all over the football league in financial difficulty as they continue to stretch themselves to succeed. Where does all this end? Will the rich foreign investors still be around in 10-15 years time when they have got bored of owning a Premiership club? We are already seeing that clubs in the Premiership are seeking to obtain that 5th spot. Will success be eventually measured in achieving 8th or 9th? Will we see a streamlining of clubs in the leagues below as others go to the wall in financial ruin?

I think that would go a long way to resolving their differences. If it all comes together, all hell will be unleashed on Hull.
-
I think its a fairly reasoned opinion. Are you suggesting that we can only focus on one thing at once?
-
I said it wouldnt be sorted today after seeing that statement, however I did think it would be sorted by tomorrow. Now I'm not so sure. If it comes down to lawsuits, then MA will find himself in an untenable position as the fans would turn on him anyway. Hes in a lose lose situation

Well i must have refreshed this page about 800 times today at least so that doesnt give much room for others

Aye but if it goes to court then I cant imagine any barrister getting away with saying "yeah but he didnt mean it" I was relating more about the fact that Keegan lied during his press conferences. I wonder if he stays, he will go and take training tomorrow. I think it might be Thursday before we get any clear indication of whats happening.

Back down on what exactly? The Transfer window is closed. No-one's been sold that he wanted to keep, not since he said it was his choice to sell Milner anyway. Keegan has happily gone along with the set-up for 8 months They're the ones that made this mess, they need to fix it. If they made promises to Keegan and haven't followed through with them then had the cheek to call his bluff when he's blown up about it then they need to back down and admit they were wrong. I don't see Kev returning though because it'd always be underlying now and the press would never leave it alone, Kev couldn't work with Fat Ashley and Wise. IF, and it's a big if, Ashley was going to try and sort it out he'd need to dismiss Wise as a gesture that Keegan isn't being undermined. Aye. It's all if's. The only thing we know is Keegan hasn't been sacked and his most recent comments have been about how happy he was with player acquisitions and departures up until Saturday. I don't know if Keegan's been misled, but he's been lying to the fans one way or another. I don't understand, are you supporting Ashley in all this? I don't know. I'm just postulating on the facts we have. Keegan can't argue it's like the Swindon resignation, because he'd only been in the job a few weeks then. 8 months is a long time to go before realising you don't have the control you need. Half of that time being an open transfer window. I know it's sacreligious, but maybe it was Keegan's mistake to agree to the job as advertised in the first place. Im also sure that the nice quotes of his on telly literally days ago stating that he makes the decisions and is happy with whats happened so far wont help his cause like. We all know Keegan is a master of spin though, from his quotes saying that he wont sell Milner to it being good business, to saying that he's delighted that he's got Shola back and could be our top scorer. No-one is that deluded to believe that not selling Ameobi was nothing but a disappointment.

It seems to me you are a cockney wank. Serious question, in the history of Tottenham Hotspur have they ever had a day where they've had the media focus on them as much as we have today? ....and I wouldn't even put it in the top 20 of the last 15 years. I dont think Spuds have had this much media coverage combined. Ever.
-
I dont think it matters if Keegan walks, if the situation in the club had been less about getting rid of players and instead recruitment of a team, then he wouldnt have reason to resign. That makes it Ashleys fault anyway

Keegan a clown in Ashley circus: ‘Messiah’ is humiliated by owner
Chaser replied to Scottish Mag's topic in Newcastle Forum
Its a shame Mort left, as he seemed to be doing a canny job of it while he was here. -
Funny how we managed to squeeze more than 47k into a 36k capacity ground like.. Liverpool can do it. I was gonna make a joke of that comment but then realised it was in bad taste
-
I guess we will get the full story somewhere down the line when a book comes out. Until then, itll be down to the media and various ITKs creating chinese whispers on what has happened. It would take a big character to return to his position if the reports are to be believed. It will take a similar dose of humility from the owner to accept that he has made a big mistake and needs KK to continue his enterntainment.

Thanks Nice video

Does Kev really need the money? I can see that theres probably some truth in that article but also a lot of it which is ridiculously embellished. -
Can anyone come to a logical opinion as to why Dennis Wise was appointed DOF? Ive thought through this many a time and still fail to see any quality or experience as to why he would be the candidate for such a post. I always thought that DOF was a role given to elder statesmen, ex-managers not interested in the everyday hustle & bustle of the job but wanting to offer their experience to a younger less experienced manager. Was it a wise or not so wise decision to appoint Wise?

How do you choose to ignore people?
-
Well do the decent thing Kev & stay

Was thinking exactly the same thing when I saw it - expecially the bastards at the end. Wonder what Stevie has to say about them Also like how he puts the guy in the brown shirt in his place about not going back That woman says there is one man for the job who has been here twice and been sacked twice. My Uncle Alfie used to work on a cash only turnstile in the Millburn stand but he was sacked after he pinched from the Christmas party fund. He then turned up working for the club as a Steward, but was sacked after two games when he threw a punch at a Coventry fan in the 1998/99 season. If she thinks he's the man for the job I've got bad news for her..... He was hit by the 38 in 2004.... Class!

U fucking idiot. You have them to thank if keegan stays. Its them mongs whove made a stand and brought the board to see sense if that is indeed the case Were you one of them? I dont have a problem with people hanging around the ground, but those on SSN were an embarassment to the club. Nothing but a load of chimps doing things on cue for the cameras and acting the idiots.
-
Thing is, MA goes around with King Kev on the back, appointed him and looking at it (taking those on face value) you would think that they would have the same ideas, to bring success to the club. Its the fuckwits who sit between them I would worry about. The rumour that Keegan had walked last night does seem to have some legs here. Not on the training ground, not photographed with any of the incoming players. I dont even think they were in the ground today or someone would have been seen. Reading that statement, it does seem that we dont have anyone at this time and that they are hoping KK changes his mind. He should get himself on here and read this 67 page thread to see how much he's wanted. He's got the fans on his side.
