  1. 66 or 6+6=12. Leeds fans dont have any higher ground to take the piss.
  2. Ive got to say that I too always check the Leeds results, because ultimately Id like to see the biggest teams in the top division. If MA hadnt come in, we could have been heading the same way so that is the only thing that I could credit him for. I think the Premier League itself has ripped the heart out of football. They are squeezing the fans and now that theyve maximised the marketing potential of England, theyre looking overseas. A few years down the line, I fear that the Premier League may be headed the same as the Rugby Superleague. Theyve just established a franchise where points were scored depending on size of club, location, success etc and those that scored the highest points are being placed into the Superleague and will remain there for 3 years regardless of whether they finish bottom or not. Theyve brought in Welsh teams, French teams and are talking about bringing Scottish teams into it to increase the marketing potential, despite the fact that Rugby League isnt really a spectated sport in those areas. MA has ultimately ruined it for me. After FS you think that things could only get better where really things have got far worse. Ive been to quite a few Arngrove league games and that really is grass roots football. Taking it to a higher level, Ive watched a few Hartlepool games in the town end, stood side by side on the Terraces, pie & Bovril at half time and generally a decent atmosphere. The thing is, to go to these league 1 games now is about £20 which is a product of the increase at the top. Fans are being squeezed out all over the football league. If you wanted to take a family, you're talking £80 a weekend for 90 mins which is getting too much in the current financial situation.
  3. So who'll be taking training now then? Who will be in charge against Hull as I half expected it to be Terry Mac

I think we should ask Al to come back onto the playing staff never mind the coaching staff.
  5. 6 match ban, 6 suspended and £25k fine
  6. I doubt it matters whether Ashley is at the ground or not. The press coverage of the protests will be overwhelming anyway. There might be a few tayties looking to invade the pitch/get themselves arrested but hopefully the majority will go along with a legitimate and effective one. Refusing to buy extras at the game has to be the bare minimum. The concern is how much of the protest will have upon the team. If a complete blanket boycott to enter the stadium was observed and people were to stand outside of the ground and protest then I would imagine the whole situation would have nothing buy a negative effect.
  7. I bet that whoever comes in wont be any good and will be gone in another 12 months. Its Newcastle Utd, theres no point in saying anything otherwise we are a complete joke when it comes to stability and the best club around when it comes to making headlines for all the wrong reasons.
  8. Just watching Alan Oliver on SSN promoting tonights Ronny. GET OUT OF TOON is the headline. Brought a smile seeing AO promoting it.
  9. Hearing underway. KK faxed evidence to FA.
  10. Thing with boycotting is, you're cutting your nose off. I cant see many people collectively wanting to get rid of their tickets. You might find that there be a couple of thousand less, but for a significant protest you need to get around 1/3 to 1/2 of the ST support to bin them. There should be an immediate refusal to shop in Sports Direct, getting the word out to the Charvers who refuse to shop anywhere else. Likewise no merchandise, food or drink to be purchased in the ground or club shops. Obviously match attendance is compulsory for some therefore it should be a voiciferous protest directly at the regime. For those wishing to do so, a delayed entry to the match providing visual fodder for the media.
  11. Something clearly happened on Monday for Keegan to walk out at such a crucial point in the season. He's obviously tried to work with the regime or else he would have been off as soon as they were all appointed. Theres obviously been pressure put on somewhere and its triggered him off.
  12. Can't see any improvement for the Toon. I take it you have dropped the 'army' out of the Toon now? So we're guessing Spurs then? Houghton

Lets have Ian Holloway in. At least he'll have us laughing before we go sinking down into the Championship
  14. I am thinking about how long it will take until I get over this and if I will ever be able to develop the same passion watching Newcastle again. At the moment something has died in me. I would never have become a Newcastle fan if it hadn't been for my boyhood adoration of Keegan. I got over 1997 because Internet was very new to me. So I got all the reaction with some delay and could settle with it then. Now is different. It's childish, but I am close to tears. I have been going through a difficult time in the last couple of months with my mother diagnosed having severe cancer. Knowing that Keegan is in charge of Newcastle again gave me something to cheer about. Only a couple of week ago I was in Newcastle and excited like a small child seeing all the Keegan related merchandise. I was even so stupid and bought one of those tacky T-Shirts with Keegan No. 1 at the back. I probably jinxed it. This has all suddenly gone. There is just emptiness and sadness left. I remember when KK left last time, I was only 15 and back then it was truly gutting, because the whole legacy which I had grown up with once knowing more about football, was gone. Newcastle without KK? Those were heady days because of the passion that the team invoked, the quality of the team which we had at the time. They appointed Dalglish and although I was gutted he'd left I thought that Dalglish could have put the final piece in the Jigsaw after his efforts with Blackburn. But then he started tearing the team apart. The stars started leaving and we all know what happened after that. This time around its different. We're 11 years on, Im older, KK's older and our position in the game is different. Its truly sad that KK has left in these circumstances but back then there was always a next step, another option to come in, and finish the good work which had started. Now we dont know who owns the club (we really dont - who is he and what does he want?), has he got the supporters at heart (like FFS always said he had) or is he just in this to make money? I cant believe im saying this, but at least with FFS we knew that his aim was always to bring success to the club, even if he was inept in his decisions

Shearer wouldnt risk his reputation. Ashley would probably change the name of Shearers to Wise's bar if he was sacked as well.
  16. Surely someone who posts on Skunkers, NO and here should orchestrate what each set of fans is thinking and then make .com aware of this. .Com will no doubt publicly state what the most popular option is and as a lot of non message boarders go to .com, the word will spread.
  17. Has anyone thought that MA could be Danny B? His best mate is a close Spurs fan, and they were pissed off that we continually were better than them. MA let Spurs get at Modric, he was willing to get rid of all of the players at a price and seems disinterested in what is good for the club. Once we're that shit, he could go back and tell Kelmsley that it was job done.
  18. I think what makes it worse is that Ashley's probably been laughing at us since he came. Wearing KK shirts, standing with the boys. It all looks to be a complete joke now and a very shallow attempt at making us think he gave a shit. Im not sure he's in it for the football, or else we would have seen him back down in these discussions and give Kev what he wanted. I just honestly cant see where the club goes from this. Ridsdale at Leeds/Ellis at Villa, theyve seen nothing yet.
  19. Curbs got 5 minutes at the top of the hour on SSN, So far we've had 1 1/2hrs of Newcastle reaction. Says a lot doesnt it really
  20. I'M PLEASED SOMEONES SENSE OF HUMOUR IS STILL ALIVE. Have you just seen his interview Stevie? I couldnt argue with anything that he said. The blokes a bit of a chocolate gangster and likes to get about, but he did say a few good things like Chocolate Ganster?!?? Ive seen that he likes to get himself on telly at any opportunity, whether that be in Drama or Newcastle Utd Drama.
  21. Why Bilic? Has never managed a club side. I honestly cant think of who I'd want to come in now.
  22. I'M PLEASED SOMEONES SENSE OF HUMOUR IS STILL ALIVE. Have you just seen his interview Stevie? I couldnt argue with anything that he said.
  23. I agree with as far as showing up the board for what they are, but im still devastated he's left. Just watching all of the footage on SSN of when Kev came back and seeing him celebrate on the touchline etc makes me even more disappointed because thats the last time that we'll ever see that.
