Shola just isnt chasing balls at all. A change is needed and fast.
-
All of the attacking play is coming down the left side. Either Jokin has found this to be a weaker area where we can attack through or Duff has just been ignored I dont know but theres hardly anything going down the right. As an attacking option, Jonas & Enrique have done well the last 20-25 minutes.

This is what I find strange. Shola who has for years been criticised and has only a bit part striker, now has another 3 year deal while only being hours away from a move last summer. He hasnt done too badly when put in as a 3 man strike force, but as a target man up top in a 2, I dont think he works. He's best as a hole player dropping balls off to the likes of Martins.

Enrique looks like he would make a better LM than a left back.

Collo, definitely not showing any kind of defensive ability there. Loses his man and then when Cisse has his first shot blocked by Harper, Collo checks his run instead of following the ball through to goal. Unfortunately this gives Cisse vital few yards to tuck away the rebound. Is anyone watchign this thread just for updates or has everyone got something to watch/listen on?

Good save from Harper to deny Cisse

Shola misses great opportunity there

Cant see us getting anything from this. Team picks itself from that list I think. Might see Xisco on today, but seeing the bench, any team playing us has to think theyve got a chance.

Been a great servant for the club, I think it speaks volumes that for years Shay has come out and publicly spoken about how the club needs to match his ambition yet following his comments has stayed at the club. I would imagine that this has been due to the manager outlining his ambitions, and Shay seeing signings come to the club which could improve the team. Probably for only the 2nd time in his tenure at Newcastle he has felt like the club isnt going in the right direction. Ive got no grudge against him for wanting to leave now. It is a sinking ship.

We are going the wrong way with Kinnear at the club. I am very surprised we have made any signings and I can only think that the players have come for the cash. Good managers tempt in good players and Kinnear just doesnt have the draw we need to make any progress. We dont want a miracle manager, im certainly not dillusional to think that anything short of a total rebuild will put us anywhere near to where we once were. All I want from the club is an owner I can trust in, a manager I can believe in and a team which looks like its capable of getting results and giving us all hope. At the moment we have none of those and its the worst team we have seen for about 7 or 8 years

Couldnt be going to a better place IMO, probably peaking at what they can acheive as a club, low on supporters trying to encourage oval ball fans to watch football. Love to see him disappear into obscurity now he's on his way. We have robbed them for ££££s if the figure is to be correct.
-
So does this mean that you think if Ashley gives Kinnear a bit more wedge for the next few days and lets him have this extended contract then all will be good? Since Kinnear has been here, I have seen nothing from the team to suggest that Kinnear deserves the job on a long term basis. Im sick of his bleatings, think his tactical decisions have a lot to answer for and I doubt that under his stewardship, we will see anything better than lower half of the table

Bassong hasnt started yet.

I think they have skewed the article in saying that we're in financial difficulty. We are no-where near the overspend of some of the top 4 clubs. However, if you look at it from another perspective, "doing a Leeds/Wednesday/City/Forest/Coventry" is the situation of a big club being relegated from the top flight, losing a host of players and having to rebuild over a period of years and in the wake of it all, possibly suffering a further relegation from the Championship. I think if we did go down, unless new owners with cash came in, we could be in freefall. The first team would be made up of the reserves and players from the Championship and we would be struggling to get back up the following season.

I hope he does well, a bit of good news in amongst a load of shite doesnt do any harm

Ashley may as well save his cash on Jokin and just appoint Wise to do it. He cant honestly be any worse at this current time. Im beginning to dislike Jokin week by week
-
I look at this "statement" 2 ways 1 - There is absolutely no contract offer on the table. Jokin has been told to make the statement in an attempt to show some kind of continuity at the club and even to dupe the players into staying (why on earth would they do that with Jokin at the helm?!) 2 - He's been offered the contract (Showing zero ambition from MA) and things are that bad at the club with the current regime, that even Kinnear doesnt want it! Either that or the pay offer is lower than any other premiership club and Jokin thinks he can get more elsewhere. Either way, both are a total disaster and highlight the current plight at the club.

I stilll reckon itll be Epic. Full blooded game as it brings extra significance in our predicament. Doesnt mean to say I think we will win though.
-
If he's here for another 8 games and his ratio doesnt pick up, it would make no sense at all considering MA got rid of FSA after 24 games with a better ratio.
-
Hard working with a work ethic. Something Blackburn will achieve next season with time and building Tbf, I'd rather see us relegated than have that fat dullard managing us. Your wish just may come true.... We are as bad as any other club in the bottom 6 at the moment - nothing to suggest that we will improve.

Im quite looking forward to next year. I would imagine that we'll do quite well in the Championship. 2-1 Carroll
