I think he's been treated appallingly. Granted, he hasn't done the dignified thing and walked away from it, but it's pretty poor of the club to not at least place him on gardening leave pending a decision. I would imagine SSN must be on in the training ground and all the talk of potential vacancies does nothing but undermine him further. Keeping him on is probably making the situation worse than it was following the match last weekend.

This thread has given me a laugh if nothing else. Let's hope some good news comes this week to end this debacle. Went past Steve's house this morning and it was all quiet. Was expecting to see the odd journo car parked outside waiting to bait him when he returned.

I worried about McClarens appointment but then thought that he had done a good job at times elsewhere and with a bit of money and luck we could get a decent mid table position. I've been behind him all the way up until the Stoke game where I just lost any more faith in him. He's had money or if not in his control, he's had expensive players at his disposal. He's been given time during which we have seen performances improve if not results however in the last 6 weeks things have nosedive. Since the end of the window we have been getting worse with each game and it's clear there is a big problem within. Players look like they've accepted their fate or at least ours.

Why bring so many players in yet hope that the ones that have never done anything suddenly dig us out? Riviere is a useless excuse and should have been shown the door already. I hope we go down after watching that shower. Backwards not forwards.

Im not one to blame Elliott, I think he's been great for the majority of this year and has certainly proved his worth to pick up the few points we have. The fact that the outfield players can't score puts extra pressure on him as it's 1 goal and over.
