  1. Can't afford to sell anyone, unless it's Joselu.
  2. Its such a unique position in which we find ourselves - 5 losses on the bounce at home yet we're not too disheartened, almost encouraged that we put in a decent effort against a side which has won 18 in a row. Just shows how far that twat has kicked the confidence out of the fans. Still hopeful of a few players in Jan, lets get a good result against Brighton!
  3. Are these teams in the same league? What a showcase for the chasm between top and bottom. It's like watching a 3rd round FA cup game against non league opposition
  4. Either this will be a tactical masterstroke with phases or a very long night.
  5. A Joselu hat-trick is probably stretching the impossible but I think this is classic NUFC win territory. Like it's been mentioned, they're on a record breaking win, coming to our place with a win on our backs. I'm going for a draw minimum.
  6. This appalling run of form is really playing into Staveleys hands and Ashley if he is intent on selling, must be crying with every loss. To think that the club was riding high when it was first announced, it's as if the whole takeover thing is affecting performances on the pitch. There really needs to be a guarantee of money for Rafa to invest in the side to halt this slide. We are going to need at least 2 players I would suspect, Striker, and someone who is creative and combative in midfield. Probably about 4 or 5 in summer.
  7. I'm hoping for a Santa Claus with a massive sack of quality players
  8. We at least created chances, Richie was better today and should have scored, Merino played some decent balls and should have scored. Diame should have toe poked that ball in. Unfortunately due to the winless run, confidence has all but gone and it's a completely different side without it. We were talking of big things in September, we are know looking at survival at best.
  9. ? There has to be culpability from all sides. Yes, we know the quality isnt there but at times they couldn't even find someone to throw to, were completely static up front and then we put Joselu on again! Surely if they can't put ball to feet then put a target man on? Joselu is no target man
  10. When do we start pointing the finger at the manager though for not steering us out of this? We were far better earlier in the season and they are now a shadow of that.
  11. Relegation form and relegation luck. Might put some money on it to soften the blow.
  12. Kudos to Yedlin though, had a good half.
  13. The post has been their best defender so far. Elliott should have been put back in. Definitely needs to be now after that fuck up.
  14. I'm starting to question Rafas choices. Why didn't Shelvey and Lascelles start? Lejeune has looked poor and Hayden isn't a good enough player to keep our most creative player out. Richie is off form, Joselu was better tonight but never looks threatening. We don't seem to know who is no 1 between the sticks.
  15. We all know what we are up against, world class players against Championship winners. It does start to frustrate though when the same old shit gets a game. Maybe it's something we don't know...
  16. A point from nothing. Valiant fight back and looked much better with Aarons and Shelvey on.
  17. Another loss by the looks of things, unless anyone else has any ideas on how to score?
  18. Finest example of premier league football this first half
  19. Joselu is so poor I can't see why we continually play him. Rafa doesn't have many options but it's absolutely pointless in persisting with him. Oh and sorry for the 'united' (small U) faux Pas, I blame the phone for auto correct
  20. To lose against united was no surprise, to get well beaten at home by Watford........ Ashley should think about wrapping up that deal whilst he still can as I can see us being sucked in with form like this.
  21. A good start, everything was undone by half time. We committed too many in pursuit of the equaliser and was short of energy in keeping shape. I think Murphy looked excellent in attack and Shelvey was pulling strings all over. Joselu hasn't improved at all and has probably gone backwards, he needs to be left out
  22. Burnley offered little, we offered little more. Rafa set us up to grab at least a draw but unfortunately some disorganisation in defence allowed them in. Other than that, we looked fairly comfortable if not short on quality. The problem of a threat up front persists but elsewhere by and large, we looked under little threat.
  23. Hard fought 3 points. Boring today with little end product but stuck in.
