I think this thread must be feeding his viewing figures. He does seem to have an odd accent at the beginning of each video, as if he's getting himself into a Geordie character. YEAH He also contradicts himself several times in that video, talking about trolls whilst admitting he was bitching about Howe before he was appointed. YEAH Of course it doesn't bother him, but he was bothered enough to release a video on it. 🤥

Ritchie was loving that bleep test. Reckon he's pleased he's got his father back. If Howe brings enthusiasm to the party and he's getting them fit for a change in style, then some of them will enjoy getting that edge. As a unit they've just stagnated to where we are today. By the looks of things, the staff have ran them ragged today to see how they fare. Quite a few of them were blowing in some of those scenes.

If Ashley had been here I'd have said let's go down but given that we are now looking up in the short/medium term then I'd rather we pulled it round and got ourselves out of the bottom 3. Are we certain Howe isn't just a Mackem who is playing the club like a cat with a ball of string, until we are so far adrift of everyone else that we are relegated? It seems odd that he was sitting with Staveley in the most public of fashion yet still not announced as manager.

We've played 11, and of the 27 remaining, I think there's 11 where we get nothing. 16 games with some points in them. We are going to have to battle to get through this season.

What I can't understand is how players who have previously been half decent, are all of a sudden not even capable of stringing a few passes, chasing down and winning loose balls and thinking for themselves when forming some kind of movement to get up the pitch.

Caulkin and others dropped the ball and they're now trying to put the wheel back on so that they don't lose that line of contact as a result. It does sound like Howe is about to be appointed given that Caulkin has said it's been whittled down to 2, suggesting the others didn't make the final cut. We might be all here in 6 months time eulogising about Howe's ability to turn things around. To say at this stage that he should only be a short term appointment makes us sound entitled and like the typical Talksport wankers from the top 6. As it's been mentioned further up this thread, until we start seeing progress and some money going into projects like the training ground, stadium and signings then we really don't know what being the richest club in the world actually means. If Howe gets the team firing and we like the football then he sounds like what we all asked for years ago when we wanted entertainment and application. The ex Bournemouth lads have probably had their day on their former manager so they have first hand accounts of how he works.

In the article I posted it does say that he wants a club that protects the manager which he didn't get at Arsenal. Maybe by not having any structure to the club at the moment concerns him as he's going to have to fight a relegation battle while they work around the rest of it.

We may be the richest club on paper but we are miles away from being where we need to be for someone top level to consider us. Weird that this has all happened at a time where there isn't an obvious stand out candidate that the board and fans would unite with. Probably why it's taking them longer to make a decision on what to do.
