nice to see Butt talking honestly about the dressing room. I reckon he could be a big player for us next season as its shown that he has been committed to the club in his performances over the last year.

Spot on post from Ken, agree wholeheartedly with everything thats been said. Ill give SA my full backing i just hope that he fulfills expectations As a club expectations have rightly lowered after the failings of the last few seasons. I think its more important right now for the club to consolidate and regroup, giving Sam a full pre-season to get this ship sailing again. Hell he might even work his magic with Luque who knows. Whats for sure is that everyones been given a second opportunity again until Sam decides for sure that theyre not welcome anymore. Its the first piece of "planning" we've seen for some time.

Absolutely disgraceful behaviour from FS. If I was Owen Id be looking to get away from the place as quick as possible This is just further evidence to show that the cancer within the club isnt the managers, isnt so much the players but its the people at the top running the place Not wanting to risk libel, its very unusual how a man who sells scrap can become a multi million pound chairman of a football club in his mould. In comparison with a chairman like Steve Gibson, a man who I consider to have honesty morals & genuine decency as a person, its clear that FS has absolutely none of these qualities in his character and as such, the attention for change really should once again be directed towards the board.

Yet more evidence to show that Roeders "Resignation" wasnt so much as being pushed out of the door when he laments on his anger at not being able to take the club into next season.

Having heard a lot of opinions about Allardyce's style of play - particularly those who dislike it because they say its negative and its hoof n run stuff i ask this question - Would you rather we play boring unattractive football, score more goals than the opposition and finish in a reasonable position? OR would you rather play gung ho football, pass it about a lot, hit the bar a lot but not put the ball in the back of the net while the opposition play the unattractive stuff and get the result meaning we again fail to achieve a top half finish? Frankly I dont honestly think Newcastle have played attractive football since the heady days of the Robson era. I hate this notion that "Geordies have to watch attractive football" with the idea obviously being dreamt up post Keegan era. Its again Olliver propaganda

When it comes to Newcastle, I dont think you can say anything is a cert really. Just another piece of the merry go round shambles with which we associate with.

Puts everything into perspective really. Lets just hope that the Chemo can slow things down. Terrible news.

Just another from a long line of expensive flops.

I would have thought FFS would have avoided such a character as Allardyce as he looks like the type of person who would stand up to the chairman, if not boss him with what HE wants to do, and not what the Chairman thinks. While its interesting to think that Allardyce might be on his way here, I think theres just too much 2+2=5 & wishful thinking going on. Shame because despite the fact that their football is tiresome, Chelsea's isnt exactly riveting either but they do get results.

If Martins was anywhere else in the Premiership with his goal tally, people would be shouting about getting him to come here. Because he's already ours, its just expected that people will pick fault. So what if Martins doesnt have the best first touch all the time, he's found the net on many occasions and is playing in an out of sorts team Some people need to remember that we're not the "Force" that we used to be and should concentrate their criticisms where its more deserved
-
This is the first time that he's publicly criticised the defence and its at least some kind of indication that he's going to change things in the future. It sounds as if he's talking about Bramble as we all know he can put in awesome tackles one game and then just lose it when the pressures on moments later. Lets hope things get sorted in the next window and we arent again talking about "Planning"

Should have kept the game on C5 - we did well then. When the glory hunting ITV come along, we're garbage.

Gatesy without doubt talks the most sense and is more in touch with North East football. Macdonald knows very little and gets into too many arguments. Slaven is just there as a WUM

Bring it back as long as they stipulate no pissing in peoples pockets

Cant see why terracing couldnt be brought back, without the fencing, just back to the railings along the terrace again. Apart from Hillsborough and Heysel, where neither were directly the result of terracing, what other disasters have there been involving terraces?
