  1. I wonder if they'll play Stone Roses as he walks in
  2. Would imagine there will still be a few fans outside of the ground
  3. Dont know if this was covered in any other thread, but Oliver said that Keegan was appointed on Sunday. SSN report that Ashley was after Keegan once he saw their in the face interview with him on Monday. Which is the truer?

I'd much rather Steve Clarke than Lee Clark. Clarke is still at Chelsea is he not?

hope Round stays as he's highly rated. Carver was always pretty well rated but didnt make it as a manager. Wouldnt really want Clarkie back at the club.
  6. I think it hinged on whether we actually won it. If it had worked, people would have said it was a masterstroke by him to get the players fired up for it, however, as we didnt people say that it was when Keegan lost it.
  7. I dont actually think theres really a better goal poacher than Owen on his day, however it depends on whether he actually gives one about this situation. I personally doubt that he'll ever give his all for us, as he doesnt appear to have the desire to do so. Therefore, someone who puts the effort in will undoubtedly do better.
  8. Id argue that you could do with both an athletic player and a player who can throw himself into challenges. In Taylor we have someone who can throw themselves into challenges but also possesses a bit of pace whereas Faye is probably the better ball winner. Overall we are lacking a more athletic CB.
  9. I would move away from Shearer this time around and see what KK brings in by himself. I think Shearer probably has got an ego too big to be an asst so would like to see someone who has a bit of tactical nous come into the camp to help KK out.
  10. Do you really need to go to live football these days to be able to study the game? If you have SS and Setanta on the box at home, you can gauge a lot from what you see. KK has been involved in football for most of his life, only left the game in 2005 and has been involved with it ever since in the Soccer Circus. Could someone tell me whether the Soccer Circus is coaching youngsters or is it an all ages sort of interaction?
  11. I wouldnt go that far. I lived in Newcastle (under lyme) for 3 year and that was much the better place than Stoke town itself. Quite an insular place but met some great people. Stoke Town Centre is a hole
  12. He was grinning with delight right through the interview. Amazing what a week in football does
  13. The whole team got raped against Man U though. But watching the first half against the second, you would think it was a different game. Towards the end of the first half, Enrique looked to have grown in confidence. To be fair, the first half wasnt bad, ok we still werent creating much but at least we were having a go.
  14. Zog is a class act, certainly not afraid to take people on.
  15. Kev needs to bring in experience and knowledge. The scouting network must have been developed anyway so cant see why that cant continue??
  16. Ill be honest I havent been to the games this season but from what Ive seen on TV, he looked suspect. It cant help him if he's come to this country and then found himself 2nd choice to a winger. I didnt think much of his performance against Man Utd although he did start to come on a bit towards the end of the first half.
  17. The prospect of having a right footer on the right and lefty on the left is pretty mouth watering! Football is a simple game, made to look difficult by "tacticians".
  18. Zog could be that midfielder who opens the door. If Duff gets his form back, then Zoggy will be pushed into the centre I would imagine, just need someone strong enough to soak up the pressure alongside him
  19. pity we couldnt get a clean sheet - dirtied by a former mackem
  20. 4-0 return of the entertainers!!!!
  21. A tear to the eye & a crate of beer in the fridge! looks bloody old & tired there!
