We don't need two holding players. We could have easily coped with Rice and the others going forward if Stones had stepped into the midfield in possession. I did think the first game would be a blip but it was actually better than this effort, they don't look like they've ever trained together. Zero plan.

We got 3 points on the board against a a Serbian side who have dangerous players such as Mitro, Vlahovic and Mil Savic (not going to attempt the full spelling) and yet the media are pouring over it as if we were beaten. It wasn't the best 2nd half performance but it was job done. We could put 3 or 4 past Denmark and all of this negativity would be long forgotten about.

I do love silly season. It was notably absent in Jan when we said the pot was dry but now we've got a few sponsors and the chance to sell a couple of players, I'm sure we will be linked with every half decent transfer opportunity. A couple of CBs, RW, ST in, Wilson, Almiron leaving would probably be good business for me. Id be sad to see Trips go, but if it was good money it would be an easy decision. We are stacked in midfield so unless someone is moving on I don't see us adding there. Full back position couple probably do with an addition. Is Targett still injured?

Against Ngannou, AJ demonstrated his fearless and ruthless style which in his early days, had him at the top of the heavyweight tree. If he gets Fury, I do wonder if he'll have the mental resilience to trust in his boxing and take the fight to him. Fury is one of those boxers who against lesser opponents, can finish them off when he chooses to. AJs chin and how he guard against that is key for him. Although I was firmly in the Usyk camp for last night, Fury is a massive problem for AJ.

It was a clear Usyk win, but some of the rounds were fairly close where Usyk actually put in more work just to counter some big hits from Fury. Usyk had the first 3 and I had Fury with the next 3 but once Usyk smashed him in the nose, Fury tailed away and was lights out on those ropes. His eyes were in different postcodes before the ref jumped in which I thought was too early. He either stops it as a contest or Fury takes a few more before hitting the canvas. Weirdly when Fury was in control in the 5th and 6th, he didn't go on and stay on the front foot, so Usyk just dictated a higher tempo. Fury probably was in his best shape for this fight but I'm glad he lost for his disrespectful showponying in the first few rounds and his complete lack of class at the final bell. He's a fucking idiot and Usyk did a proper job of it.

I've also heard Wilson has fallen out with EH therefore "ill". Anyone else heard similar?
