I'm sure it did cause a smirk here and there, but tbh it should be a source for embarrassment. Make flags and banners about your own club and players, not the opposition. Real Madrid came across as petty and pathetic for how they conducted themselves back in October. All that achieved last night was City reducing themselves to the same level. It deserved the backfire it brought about.

Man City are 66/1 with Paddy Power to win the Premier League; they’re 10/1 to be relegated. -
McDermott, Sansom & Withe I think

Didn't England do something similar in 1982 except for the GKs, who kept the traditional 1, 13 & 22 and also Keegan who was given the 7 shirt as he was captain. Pretty certain the rest were all in alphabetic order.

Yeah don't think it's been announced yet - different fixture apps have different time. I use Fotmob and they've lobbed it in as 8pm. It'd be crazy if they went with that but assume it'll be a much more reasonable time.
-
Apologies if it’s been put elsewhere but lovely to see the powers that be and TV are fucking the fans over again. 8pm KO on a Sunday night for a Cup Final for two teams from the north. Absolute fucking joke!

Not to forget the great escape of 21/22.

He crossed my mind but didn't he head up a selection committee starting at the outbreak of the war rather than being the manager outright? I remember reading that George Martin & Douggie Livingstone were appointed managers within that period but on both occasions the club returned to being committee-led until Mitten was appointed.

it’s officially part of the town moor isn’t it? Back in 1997 they had allotments where it met Barrack Road which I seem to recall the majority of the protestation was about. As for what to do with the existing footprint, make it a green-ish space but combine it to make it a world-class fan zone

Correct me if I’m wrong, but the first Newcastle manager to take us to Wembley twice?
-
Cheers all. And yep, doing what I can to keep on the right track - avoiding medicating with alcohol for the time being and hoping the lads give us all a boost later. I've done the happy pills Gloomy, and it's evident they don't work for me, sadly. I see a therapist every other week who, whilst not cheap, is insanely brilliant at keeping me sane. There's a couple of characters in my past whose influence has been extremely damaging. Trying to get beyond it is a massive challenge - particularly when it impacts my day-to-day living.

Struggling with mental health again and doing my level best to keep positive thoughts at the forefront of my mind. This place continues to do it's thing to keep me going. Thanks all

Their profits must have been absolutely hammered yesterday

Depends. The development of the surrounding area has the potential to make the stadium, and therefore the club more commercially viable. I’m all for urban regeneration, but not sure this one should be specifically called out by the government. Politics and sport need to be a carefully managed area.

it fucking stinks however they’re doing it.

Anyone else reading that Reeves is going to make a bunch of growth plan announcements tomorrow which supposedly includes the redevelopment of Old Trafford? Seriously?!

Tell me Man City have won their case, without telling me they've won their case. -

30 years to the day since we sold Andy Cole.

Being objective, he IS good at what he does, but it only succeeds if he has absolute autonomy. It’s clear Amanda and Mehrdad weren’t giving him that at NUFC and I bet it was ten times worse at OT!! It worked at Brighton and West Brom but they’re both smaller entities without too many cooks. Evidences to me that the model doesn’t work at bigger clubs which is more about the idea, than the person. Can see him heading back to the FA tbh - he’ll certainly not get another big club.
-
Remember Ratcliffe getting all shitty because we weren’t allowing him to just work? Fuck me, I think he spent longer on gardening leave than he did in role

Yeah I’m calling bullshit on that figure. Definitely a lot higher
