I really don't get excited when Shola has the ball in front of goal, no matter what position he's in.

I don't know why people are even arguing. There is no music inductry any more, it died out in the 80's, as we were warned

Found it in the pocket of a pair of jeans in a forgotten corner of my washing basket

Cheers, could be worse I suppose. I was pretty wazzocked and coming down with food posioning last weekend, so it could have ended up anywhere. Sent some messages to people I got lifts off etc. I'd look for it this week but I'm on me hols, so next weekend I'm going to have to get a temp ticket I think,

Moved house, packing for holiday, been ill for a week and in the chaos I'm not quite sure where it's got to. Had it for the match on Saturday, but can't really remember seeing it after that. Is it easy enough to get a replacement, if it has indeed vanished into the ether?

According to people who've used it, it only requires a little movement and one hand. I think it's a lot simpler and intuative than using a control pad. I just think you're writing it off far to quickly, when it could make playing games much more simple and intuitive. read a few more hands on impressions of it.

Sorry, the kids will all be buying playstations and Xboxes to play the latest sequels on. Nintendo have always led the way with "gimmicks" which became the norm for games - Analogue, rumble packs, 4 facia buttons... I think it's better than simply making a console that's identical to the last one, except that it has shiner graphics.

Saying "Don't panic buy!" worked a treat then "DON'T PANIC BUY MR MANNERING, DON'T PANIC BUY!"

Got Advance Wars DS on import the other day and it is absolutely awsome. Played all day when I was sick in bed

Yeah, I'm looking into wireless networking for the first time too. Got broadband in the loft and need to share it with 3 desktops (including this one) and a laptop. Any ideas where to start?

If you just want a cheap and cheerful one, aria have some canny ones. Never had a 1 gig one cos I jumped from a 516meg one to an ipod, but worth a look: http://www.aria.co.uk/ProductsList.asp?Sub...rch&Category=42 They've got one of their own brand "value" models with 1 gig for about £50, and some posher looking one;s like this for about £75 Can't recommend a specific player like, but I've bought from them before and they've been alreet.

Apparently Bush has called for an inquiry into the administration's handling of the situation, which is good. In other news, Northumbria police have asked me to investigate my involvement in the disappearance of two local prostitutes. I'll get back to you with what I discover.

Can't be arsed starting a new thread, but while we're on the subject of the Bush admin ad the flood: "Go **** yourself Cheney!" (vid, nsfw audio) http://64.69.33.3/Cheney_090805.wmv

He's more likely to wear 99.

Pikey freeview all the way. Only really watch Sky Sports News at home, any footy I want to watch I do so down the pub. Although apparently I can get a free year "starter pack" with telewest, dunno what's on it though.

Well it's exploded in Japan, helped the DS outsell the PSP by utterly miles. Starting to become a big thing in America too. My local games shop has it on import. Might get it, but then they've got Pac N Roll and Advance Wars DS as well so I'll have to make some choices. Nintendo's doggy simulation becomes a phenomenon in America too, as it sells through a quarter of a million units in its first week...

Yeah, I thought a DS would be good for the metro journey to work, but sitting next to drunken chavers going past Meadow Well I'm reluctant to flash it about
-
Well yes, but unless I was never at home I'd want to watch films on a large screen. I certainly wouldn't want to watch a film for the first time on a little screen, nor would I re-buy a film i already had to watch it again on a train. But then I'm not really the kind of person who'd want to watch all but the very best films more than once. And I rarely watch films on my own, so maybe that slants my viewpoint.

This really is reflecting badly on Bush. While 9/11 is possibly the best thing that could have happened for the Republicans from a PR point of view, this is possibly the worst. Revenge and blowing stuff up are Bush's strengths. Sensible planning, helping the poor, using the armed forces for humanitarian aid, re-building and taking strong responsibility for things are not.

I really don't understand the whole watching movies thing (in terms of buying UMDs like your supposed to, rather than monkeying around with flash memory). If you like/want to see a film enough to buy it, you wouldn't soley buy it in micro-vision, and if you've already got it and seen it in it's full glory, why would you shell out for a little copy?
