  1. have we ever had a more facially challenged player?
  2. Yeah I know from a legal POV he's correct. But he himself in another thread has stated that we should ignore the legal side of it and look at it morally. But in order to get at Ashley, he has to take on the club. And by doing that he's getting at us, as fans, as we're the ones who ultimately foot the bill. Which is my point. Just as we are the ones who will ultimately foot the bill of Ashley's disastrous reign. There's cash, there's ethics and there's total fuckwads. Sometimes in life you have to accept you are screwed and endorse the least worse option. Is the least worse option Keegan to not feel justice is done, to not air the ample laundry of the fat one? Maybe. However I remain convinced Ashley will exploit this employment dispute, and that is what it is, for his own PR needs. Further exposing him as a complete bastard. If he can get people thinking Keegan is dragging the club down then he will. Sad to see he will convince people of this. Suggesting Ashley gives a fuck about the club is as ridiculous as suggesting Keegan doesn't. It's not black and white this, but Keegan is. Ashley never was.
  3. Inevitable and predicted; http://www.irishtimes.com/sports/soccer/20...4255161471.html Ashley fears for Newcastle over Keegan compensation Newcastle owner Mike Ashley could be forced to put the club into administration if former boss Kevin Keegan wins a massive compensation pay-out. Some at the club fear Keegan could be awarded far in excess of the €10million which has been reported if he successfully argues his case. That would have major financial implications for the cash-strapped club, with administration the most stark of a range of options. Keegan’s claim for constructive dismissal, which is being heard by a Premier League independent arbitration panel, is expected to reach a conclusion tomorrow. Should Ashley choose administration, the Magpies would lose 10 Coca-Cola Championship points, a penalty which would undermine their efforts to drag themselves back into the Premier League at the first attempt. It is just over a year since Keegan left St James’ Park for the second time as manager amid a furious bust-up over the club’s transfer policy. His departure came following the deadline day arrivals of striker Xisco and loan signing Ignacio Gonzalez, both allegedly without his knowledge. His case is understood to rest on his claims that his position had become untenable, while Newcastle’s defence is that he was fully aware of the way the recruitment set-up would work under Dennis Wise, then executive director (football), and that he walked out on his contract. The two parties met in an attempt to find a solution days later, but were unable to do so, and arbitration talks since have also proved unsuccessful. After Keegan left, Chris Hughton, Joe Kinnear, Hughton again and Alan Shearer had spells as manager, but none of them were able to prevent relegation at the end of last season. Ashley held talks with Shearer in the immediate aftermath of the drop to discuss the way forward, but then decided instead to put the club on the market for the second time. But almost four months on and despite lengthy negotiations with a series of potential buyers, none has yet finalised a €110m deal to end the sportswear magnate’s ill-fated tenure. Indeed, the spectre of the Keegan situation may well have been a factor in that with prospective owners unwilling to pick up the tab should he win his case. The playing staff has been greatly by a summer exodus which has seen a wage bill of €80m reduced by around half, and as the club awaits developments on the Keegan front, only two loan signings — Danny Simpson and Zurab Khizanishvili — have arrived to plug the gap.
  4. I think we would have to eventually. Obviously the transition period from our current gangbusters backdoor fuck parade to true Gaia sentience would take some time but I imagine we would reach equilibrium.
  5. If we were immortal we would operate very differently, stop shitting in our own nest for a start.
  6. FRIDAY! If ever there was a thread I wanted to die it's this one.
  7. I have too much desire for change and too much resentment for Ashley to have any antipathy toward KK. You're pissing in the wind here Hova, move along fella.

Good luck mate, you didn't want to work with that set of inflexible twunts anyway.
  9. Only managers whose agents specifically included a clause about termination and hence only the big managers with a strong bargaining position can demand this. Termination clauses are common but 'the whole amount of the contract to be paid on early termination' must be quite rare. If he can prove constructive dismissal, then i think that invokes the law as well as the specifics of the contract. If he can prove this, then he is entitled to a hell of a lot of money. Whether its good for the club or not is irrelevant at this point since proving constructive dismissal is basically saying that they were such cunts towards him they were breaking their side of the employment contract and the payment becomes a form of punishment (in the eyes of the law). Notoriously difficult to prove though. Kashley evidently hoping for O.U.T, but no hard feelings.
  10. Congratulations Pud, to paraphrase Lee Evans 'your balls work'!
