I'm just reading MacKay's Sustainable energy without the hot air, very interesting. Nuclear is not the answer fwiw. Oil crisis would be replaced by a nuclear crises as uranium stocks would be depleted in twenty years or so. (Out of Gas, David Goodstein). Currently 4% of our energy is from Nuclear and Renewables. Tide - Too expensive Deep Offshore wind - not near my radar! Shallow offshore wind - not near our birds! Wind - NIMBY MADNESS Biomass - not in my countryside! PV Farms far too expensive! Local PV - No, they would spoil the visual amenity of the street Solar heating - No, they would spoil the visual amenity of the street Wind - No they're ugly and noisy Public consultation is the problem. Force brown and black outs on them, they'll sharp change their minds. This won't happen though, so wtf are we to do?

The tomatoes coming out of my garden are seemingly endless and easily the most delicious I have ever had. Beetroot was great too. Spuds canny and looking forward to the pumpkin. I concur like CT, it is good for the soul. I literally just sewed a few seeds and planted them out when I got round to it. A few beer traps when the slugs got naughty but apart from that and the odd bit of watering, it's piece of pish.

I have been practising scowling every time I've been running so no problem there. Thanks very much mate.

I understand HF, been a little bombarded myself this year, all these pissing do-gooders eh? Cheers Alex, very much appreciated.

Lads, I got sod all of you lot last time I tried but I know times are tough. If any of you have ever raised a smile at any of my attempts at humour or contributions to this board or are merely loaded and don't have a clue what to waste your money on this week (I do look in the materialism/betting threads you know) then I ask you, at least consider giving The Prostate Cancer Charity a couple of quid for me. Once again I am punishing my flesh and bones for charity. This time a run; I love running, I'm an absolute natural. I never get a stitch or feel like throwing up. Can't believe it is only a half marathon actually, I might just keep on running all the way back to London. That's how much I love running. Actually, that is all untrue. I hate running, in fact I have barely run since I used to not run upon being sent on a cross country yomp when my PE teacher was feeling idle. We ran out of the school building to the nearest house and drank tea and discussed Sigue Sigue Sputnik for an hour, splashed water on ourselves and ran back in. On Sunday my training peaked and I ran 11 miles up and down the Great North Road, ironically listening to Sigue Sigue Sputnik provides me with enough fury to keep going. So then, I can't do this without some fiscal support. Well I can, but it will mean a lot less reason for all the pain I have and will suffer. Think of it this way, I am doing the Great North Run so you don't have to. The Prostate Cancer Charity is a great cause, they are doing loads of stuff to raise the profile, research and combat this awful disease that kills around 10,000 men a year in the UK. Thanks very much, I really appreciate any support you can offer. http://www.justgiving.com/Guy-Coulson/

Toon bid hopefuls backed by New York firm

She whips up a cracking white sauce like. -
I hope you're in decent shape. No muscle will go untested.

Currently hydrogen takes more energy to harvest that using fossil fuels. Major industry wants it as it is difficult to DIY. Electicity on the other hand you could get yourself if you invest in renewables. I hope electricity makes it. Water engine though, they'll never let us have that. Planet Profit = Fucking huge disaster. Giddy Up.

I lived there too. It wasn't so much the place, although it is grim, it was the near constant abuse my wife, myself and my car received from fellow residents. The atmosphere was foreboding, the portent of trouble readily displayed by very young mothers pushing their prams around the town, tab dangling, tracksuit stained, screaming at the hapless infant to 'fucken shurrup man!'. Drop that into any of those snaps and whatever beauty imaginatively captured therein is exposed as abject fantasy. The botanic gardens are quite nice as they make you feel you are somewhere else. Saying that though, they could convert the whole city into a delightful mixture of Venice, Perth, Nice etc and you'd still have gangs of neckenders spitting on you because you dare to not dress and act like an inbred thug. When I was there the council were proposing to have 'quarters' in the city, one for arts, one for nightlife and one quarter as a 'Cafe Culture'. Can you imagine, sitting outside enjoying your latte, in Sunderland? 'Whets he think heez deein like? Fucken coffee, owt on the street. fucken az gan get me cock out awar there, how Bezza, gan shit in an Echo and put it on the cheble la, that'll fucken learn the fancy cunt''. etc

In one game, I only stood up when we scored. And we didn't score. I understand if some members unfriend me now, but I had to confess.

I'm suggesting he is good enough to be in the three, but obviously won't get in because of the league he is in. It says more about the standard of English keepers than OMG1!!1!ZZZ HARPS IZ GODZ!!!! However if you want to try and stove my head through a car door for such a trivial matter then please, come and have a go.

KEVIN KEEGAN SEEKS £10m FROM NEWCASTLE
trophyshy replied to Christmas Tree 's topic in Newcastle Forum
Most entertaining thread today. Anyone who can hurt Ashley for what he has done is just fine by me, the man is a Giant Arsehole. If this does a little more damage to us in the interim so be it, but if any of you think this £10m would have been spent on the team then you are kidding yourself. However I do expect Ashley to rub our noses in this, and try and con fans that Keegan has damaged our chances of getting back to the PL (ignoring who took us down etc). Even if Keegan loses, Ashley will spin this hard. If the terms of your job turn out out to be radically different to what you signed up to and you feel undermined and ignored then you are within your rights to kick up a stink, the stakes here are just a lot higher than most of us play. Perhaps Keegan's biggest mistake was believing it would be like the good old days before the PLC. But he cannot have expected transfer matters to be conducted behind his back, by Dennis fucking Wise for fuck's sake. Keegan might be a bit hot-headed and emotional but I think after SBR he has the most integrity of anyone involved with the club and next to the current ogres and oafs he is a fucking saint. -
decent pit on her.

Said for a decade Harps should be in the England squad. He is at least as good as any of the three mooted to go to South Africa.

Any of the doubters starting to believe yet then ???

KEVIN KEEGAN SEEKS £10m FROM NEWCASTLE
trophyshy replied to Christmas Tree 's topic in Newcastle Forum
Isn't Keegan countersuing? iirc Ashley was doing him for walking out so Keegan is doing him for what is effectively constructive dismissal? -
I stuck a rare bet on us to win this, sorry lads.

Given that Emre's not in there.......
