The Blackwall Tunnel is a nightmare a lot of the time. Got close family who live a Jonas Gutierrez shot away from the top of the park, and I have to say on a sunny day the park itself is one of the most beautiful places in the whole of Britain. You even get dears roaming around sometimes, it's mad. Where do you live Westcombe Park? Agree about the BWT, however Greenwich proper is about 9 minutes into London Bridge on the train and you can drive out to the M25 in around 20 minutes. That equation is rare in London. I used to live in Greenwich Village but am in Fortis Green now, north west between East Finchley and Muswell Hill. A fairly generic piece of not scuzzy suburbia, with truly insane house prices. Very handy for the A1 and M1, that's about the best thing I can say about it, that and the fact that stabbings are only biannual. Hampstead Heath's pretty good actually, 5 mins away. Anyway, back on topic...if Gordon had any sense he'd get down there asap and bomb fuck out of Buenos Aires, make sure he get's himself voted back in.

They've now made a 'village' of trendy flats out there, and Christ it's a depressing place. As well as the live venues in the dome, there is a street of shops and bars...still inside the dome. We went to some shit derivative eatery there and the waitress asked if we wanted to sit inside or out. Greenwich itself is quite nice and one of the handiest places to get in and out of London from, and has proper outdoors.

Given Ashley's reputation and a gambling man, I think it is unfortunate that the recession struck when it did. As well as shocking mismanagement I think the downturn in the economy genuinely impacted upon player purchasing and wages policy. If we were still in boomtime Ashley would probably be a bit more exciting as an owner.
