That doesnt apply anymore and so theres no chance of big spending at all under MA, but I do think there's more of a sense of protecting his investment nowadays, which will hopefully be to our benefit if and when a suitable takeover is tabled. 'Planning' or 'vision' are words that will just never apply to MA at NUFC so we'd all be wasting our breath there, but what I think is noticeable is how competitive you can still make yourself in the Prem just by having a team with the right attitude. Players that want to go out there and play for the shirt, themselves and their manager. We've not had that for years tbf. Again Ashley's got lucky in that by landing Hughton (and the indirect effect of relegation ridding us of bloated 'stars' on frankly absurd wages that would never compensate for their complete lack of motivation in being here). Agreed, it was spot on. You see what I did there? Amazing game, I was in a pub with my mate and 2 seperate groups of mackems came in, me the only black and white.
