It's double green here, CT going up so we can build our UFO research centre.

I wasn't implying that, more of a mutual gag really as I actually want to know. I am renewing and can't be arsed with shit battery life so might sack off the big screen time-suckers. I should find the right thread for this..

Speaking of which, are you still happy with your S2?

When I have time I'll take you up on your points, fair to say I don't agree with much of it. As an agnostic do you think it's important to have that level of knowledge on all the other religions/gods too? (Not saying you don't but your essay is very Christian).

Not really in a glass house, I'm not an MACS, just fair to note that teams have achieved success in different ways. While it remains to be seen what will happen with his tenure is it unreasonable to try the thrifty evolution/acquisition model when the throw money at it for 15 years model failed to bring any silverware and left us in rather large amounts debt? -
Bet he's always in net.

Our last plan, ultimately, didn't work. Is it wrong to try a different method? What did that bloke say about doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results? -

Then it must be arrogant to have human rights, free will, notions of moral law, ideas of progress too? All products of our biological and social evolution, can you explain how that's relevant?

I go to games and I don't understand this point of view, but I don't smoke tabs in the bog so maybe I missed the meeting. Thank you for offering something more concrete than, 'you'd know if you went to the games'. I've not been able to confirm what you suggest but it makes sense as either club may feel they could sell out for certain games. i'd say it was generous of Brighton to offer us more in this instance as they should sell out. Lets work it through with estimation then. Tickets are actually £24 but we'll round down across the board for concessions and maths. 800 tickets @ £20 each go completely unsold, beyond unlikely, but lets look at worst case. Ashley pays £16,000 to Brighton but this must class as gate receipts from Brighton's point of view whether they sell or not. Estimated Brighton gate receipts for the night are £540 000 (capacity 22,500 x £20) 10% is taken by the FA £54,000 Each club gets 45% £243,000 So Ashley gets 45% of his outlay back = £7,200, meaning that his risk of taking on extra allocation and not selling a single one is £8,800. Risk per ticket = £11 His potential reward for selling all the tickets is only £7,200 and he might get that anyway if their fans get excited about the Toon coming. So he doesn't stump up £16,000 but could still stand to make an extra £7,200 Therefore he'd rather have the risk sit with the opponent (which is no risk to them as they don't have to pre-purchase their own tickets). Fits in with his way of working, maintains his poor treatment of the fans. Thank you Chez. -

Given that gate receipts are shared (barring what is pooled) could you, or anyone else, please explain how this saves Ashley money? Agree it is shabby, and could even be spiteful but I don't understand the cost cutting. 400-600 stamps, printing, card, envelopes and maybe 2 days office staff time? Maybe £500? Is the belt-tightening really that intense? I must be missing something. -
I think I'm going to get a few drinks down Ms TS then take her up the Brighton Wheel, if that's alright with her.

BUT AT LEAST THEY WEREN'T A SELLING CLUB!
-
Sadly that's not true, we recorded loss after loss and still strangely managed to pay dividend so shareholders could "pocket", which should make you feel even worse I knew that really, I was just simplifying. Not sure I can feel worse what with us being a selling club and clearly and evidently still on a downward trajectory.
-
When the club was a plc they had to show a profit and the shareholders pocketed the cash. I feel guilty about that now. I wish I had given it back and then we might have won something.

The guy was obviously an idiot/on meth but ten shots in the chest is quite literally overkill. They could have put a couple in his legs. He was only swinging a blunt instrument. Judge Dread lives.

Normal conveyance or a right to be pissed off?
trophyshy replied to wykikitoon's topic in General Chat
The problem here is obviously that your solicitor is a woman. Seriously though, these things invariably fuck up and solicitors, even in the case of representing a victim, often treat people like shite. This may have something to do with having to justify every 6 or 10 minutes of their working day, and a certain percentage of each week must be chargeable work. Getting back to you to answer or update they may be unable to charge for, or can't be fucked to document it, so just fuck it off. Also, something about that profession can make people think they are special. So-called accountants have similar issues. -
