  1. Cool for Catts: "More alarming, is just how far ahead of us, are "unfashionable" Mk Don's, - not just positionally in the league, but as a team of footballers" Visiting Owl: "What other team in the top six would drop their striker that is on fire and scored a hatrick last week?" jsfdfm04: "This. Next Saturday the league will be equal on games played and we won't even be in the top 6. Far too many people happy to excuse utter shite and failings."
  2. British volunteer fighters may have triggered deadly strike on Ukrainian base after their phones were detected The Telegraph has learned that 12 to 14 phone numbers starting with +44 were visible to surveillance equipment before the missile strike https://www.telegraph.co.uk/world-news/2022/03/19/british-volunteer-fighters-may-have-triggered-deadly-strike/
  3. Louis McKechnie (Insulate Britain) "I'm about to disrupt a football match and I'm terrified. But I believe as many people as possible need to know what a possible future holds. Billions of people not knowing if they should stay in their homes or if they should leave where they go as countries become too hot to live in. Mass starvation due to crop failure, it's fighting for bread, in the bakery aisle of Morrisons, the cost of living crisis, Covid and the war in Ukraine are showcasing this future. I want my government to do all they can to stop this coming true but they are expanding oil and gas making things worse, increasing the risk."
  4. Everton club statement: Allan’s three-match suspension has been upheld after an independent regulatory commission rejected two appeals from Everton over the midfielder’s dismissal against Newcastle United on Thursday. Allan was initially booked for an 83rd-minute challenge on Newcastle’s Allan Saint-Maximin during Everton’s 1-0 victory at Goodison Park but, following a VAR check, the Brazilian was given a red card for serious foul play. Everton’s request to overturn that decision was rejected on Friday by the commission, as was a second appeal to downgrade the ban for excessive punishment. The decision means Allan will miss Sunday’s FA Cup quarter-final tie at Crystal Palace and next month’s Premier League trips to West Ham United and Burnley.
  5. Perch just played his first match since fracturing his skull in August.
  6. Plus one. I hate the algorithm!
  7. Burn: "I thought it was a sending off, I can guarantee if it was the other way round I wouldn’t have been on the pitch." "But the ref said because he was looking at the ball the whole time, that’s why it wasn’t." "I thought it was a little bit naughty but he’s not given and he’s ended up scoring at the end so it’s cost us a little bit." "We can’t complain about it too much. These are top quality players who can punish you in a second and that’s what happened." "I haven’t seen it back but the lads are saying it should have been a penalty." "But that’s what happens when you come to the big grounds, you probably don’t get the rub of the green sometimes." "The lads put in a very, very good performance. It’s disappointing not to come away with anything because I thought we deserved at least a point." "We’ve got to recover and go again. We know there is another game just around the corner. Everton is a huge game."
