  1. terry hibbitt transferred back from birmingham city...
  2. thanks for sharing. loved getting to see all of the build up to the start of the match.
  3. PTFC won 4-2. The atmosphere was un-fucking-real, and I mean the whole day. Pubs were packed 8 hours before kickoff. Chanting, clapping, & pogo-ing in the streets. Beautiful new renovation to the stadium. Going into the new stadium for the first time was indescribable. I literally had to sit down and soak it all in. I will even admit I teared up. There is so many small details to the stadium that proves our owner understands what we want. Our tifo crew was outstanding. This was the best we got to see our team play so far this season. I predict they will go on a nice little winning streak. Even after their loss the Chicago supporters and players left the stadium with smiles and stories they will tell over and over again. Still have not totally recovered from the festivities. Messed my lower back up pretty good. No clue how it happened. I blame all of the pints. Last night our supporters group and the supporters from Chicago held a party. 1 dj from there and 2 from here. They spun soul music all night. Tonight I am off to a 5th annual season kick-off show that the Timbers Army is throwing. 4 punk bands for this. then tomorrow back down to he stadium to watch the team beat Dallas.

  5. Knew coming into the start of the season Nolan would find himself lucky with his goal ratio. Did not expect to see him with more goals than AC though. Saying that, Tiote has been absolutely immense. His pass completion stats are amazing to read.
  6. good read. look forward to the photos.

  8. There will be on the 19th of this month.
  9. Can you get them in America? Or are they like McDonalds chips? Potato Fries I think you call them? there is a two places here in Portland that I know of... San Francisco and Boston had a couple good places to get some... Most places do serve "shoestring" fries or maybe they should be just referred to as "kevin" fries... also having a deep fryer in my house that i bought from a restaurant helps...
  10. voted for fish & chips though...
  11. philly steak and cheese with sauteed mushrooms, onions, & red peppers...
  12. I am in Kansas City in August. I wish this match was then. Seriously, I hope they play more matches over here while on this side of the pond. (checking in from Portland, Oregon)
  13. maybe we can meet up for a pint at the August 14th match. i plan on making that road trip also.
  14. How many Portland are expected to be going. I do believe that yank football football fans have some kind of passion, you must do to drive 18 hours, but see clips like when a team scores a goal, they give me the impression like "am I doing this right", it's because there's never been a football culture there before. Like in England, football is the most English of things, it's more part of the nations fabric than the Royal Family or winning wars. It will take 4 or 5 generations before America has that, but I think it's mint yous are having a go. about 350 have went through official supporter connections to get tickets for this match. MLS only gives an away allocation of 500. it was less than that just a few months ago. hopefully after putting up consistent numbers away the league will give us more of an allocation. especially for the derby matches.
  15. Two more days and then I am off on a 18 hour drive to Denver, Colorado. The match will be the first ever for my local team in Major League Soccer. Wish I could just leave right now. Here is a video the supporter group released today:
