  1. The Carolinas made the list because as you say it's supposed to be beautifull The timeshare can be used anywhere in the world, basically. But fancy doing somewhere in the US (boring I know) but means I can fit in my freebie Vegas trip with me pal. Fancied Arizona from a wild west type of thing, deserts etc, and it'll be in October so probably not too hot. But not set on that at all. Was thinking of Tucson, but having read up a bit seems you shouldn't go out after dark California's a consideration but it's a mighty long haul getting there
  2. Aye, keep your good news to yourself and stop milking it I'm looking at a week in the south/south west of of France. I fancy paying a bit extra and renting a private farmhouse/pool etc. Looking at ones that sleep upto eight but like I say, dont mind paying that bit more because of the privacy and exculsivity. Love the idea of having my own pool for the week. Although a splattering on topless females certainly wouldnt come amiss. Perve
  3. SO the Mrs' Boss has a timeshare thingy and can't use two weeks this year and the superstar has given them to us to use as we want WHOOO HOOO So will likely go Stateside, current thinking is Week 1 Arizona and then South Carolina for a week (gonna slip a week in Vegas in between, freeloading with some friends) Any opinions ??? Ta very much
  4. Bye Bye Shola, Martins, Zog, Babayaro and Dyer (half out the door)
  5. I read somewhere that he'd said (whilst still at Bolton) he was going to retire in three years, hopefully 4 now seeing as that's how long his contract appears to be. I think he was well gutted at not getting the England job, and I'm hoping he's comming here with a "Fuck you, I'll show you what I can do" attitude. Worried though if he does look like he's turning the pigs ear into a silk purse, that with McLaren being such a knob that the FA may just not make the same mistake twice.
  6. Totally agree, I think the current pile of shit is going to take some time to sort out (more than one season) and I'll be happy even with some signs of improvement, particulalry in player application. That said if he can replicate the performances, that even the current shit could pull out against the top 4, when we play the shite, top 6 could be doable.
  7. 1.00pm as per official site http://www.nufc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/NewsD...1025171,00.html
  8. Talkshite rumouring it's gonna be Ranieri for Citeh
  9. On talkshite: Interviewer "Do you think Sam was tapped up by Newcastle before he left Bolton" Gartside "I don't know and I don't care, Sam's my mate and Freddie's my mate, I wish them luck" Coppell Reportedly on Radio Berkshire "Sidwell is definitely leaving Reading but NOT for Chelsea"
  10. Don't agree, yes they've been shite but without Tevez West Ham would have been more shite Fine was laughable, should have lost points, that's what usually happens in leagues when an ineligible player is fielded. Mind you my judgement may be clouded by the fact I hate fucking West Ham
  11. SSH also loves his club - that much is apparant. But before a top flight manager can be appointed, we have to become an attractive proposition to him. anyway - i said my bit earlier. Settling for Fat Sam is not loving your club Stating you'd change your club if Mourinho was appointed isn't loving your club squared (or cubed even)
  12. Aye that's true, but what worries me is that it is more indicative of the current team itself than failings of the manager. There seem to be an awful lot whose head and heart are not at Newcastle or at least don't seem too fussed about winning. That's one thing that impresses me with Allardyce, he seemed to collect many "older" players who could have been considered as being in the "looking for a last pay-day" bracket, yet they seemed to perform for him. What kind of clubs did these players come from? Big clubs with big expectations. Perhap the key to their success is the fact Bolton were always the plucky over-achievers and Allardyce could use that to motviate them. I don't buy that he magically made them fit again, it's all mental. I doubt that mind-set will fit here. Bingo!!!! A manager motivating players to consistently over achieve and perform. that'll make a change You think that ideology fits NUFC? plucky over-achievers? Do you think we were the underdogs against AZ Alkmaar? Is that why we couldn't beat them, because we weren't over-achieving? That's exactly NOT what I'm saying. You have stated and I happen to agree, Allardyce found a way to get alledgedly so-so players to over-perform, if he can get our so called better players just to perform at their appropriate level then we should be in good shape. Plucky over achievers is a red herring, fact is he consistently gets the most out of his players - (except when they play Man U!!).
  13. Better defensive record than Allardyce's Hard working, organised, tactically sound Bolton though. Take away the goals (9) Man U scored against them in two heavy defeats and I think you'll find game by game that's not the case.

  16. For me, one of the biggest indictments of Roeder was that when injuries dictated the team, we actually appeared to perform better than when the manager had his pick. Allardyce has taken what should have been a yo-yo club and established it in the upper level of the Prem, which is as far realistically that it's resources will/would allow. If he does the same to us and there is any relationship to resources and achievement then we should all end up happy. At the end of the day I think he is probably the best we could get, he is nothing if not professional and that is something we have totally lacked.
  17. I think that was brought on more by the pervailing finances of Bolton, rather than Allardyce's prefference. We'll sharp find out when the summer rumours take-off
  18. Souness was never actually a good manager though, that is the difference Neither is Allardyce tbh. His team conceded more than Newcastle this year....and look at our defence. I wonder if you ever watched us when Keegan was in charge, we nearly won the league in a season and conceded loads yet played quite well and there was a plan B & even C As someone says, we never actually conceded that many, not as many as Roeder's (bare bones) team, and nowhere near as many as Allardyce's this season. Worst goal difference in the top half Bolton. One of only 2 teams whose GD is negative. Without Owen we've scored 37, without Anelka's goals they'd be on 35. Obviously a replacement would be drafted in for Anelka and they'd have scored a few, but I think people are deluding themselves if they think the gulf between Roeder and he is that huge. Allardyce has had a good few years to sort Bolton out (which Roeder never got here) and they finished 16th and 17th before he was able to move them up to top half finishes, he'll not get that chance here. That's all well and good, goals scored not much better. goal difference negative etc etc BUT the bottom line is "the league table doesn't lie" Whether Sam is the right man, only time will tell. It will certainly be novel to be organised andhard workin.
  19. Nope its lost me too. And i thought i was slow Lost me as well, unless..............................In a demonstration of true innovative thinking the formerly Fat Feckless Chairmen shows us his true genius and grasp on reality by holding talks with Robert Key about opening the batting for the town.
  20. Not renewing en mass would send a nice message to the fat useless one, but still doesn't stop people going to the game, it just means plenty match by match tickets would be available. The days where the only way to see the game was with a season ticket are long gone.
  21. Hugely over-rated as proven by Bill Bailey
  22. Richie Sambora (Jovi player) - canny I'm told Clapton used to have a guy called Albert Lee on tour quite a lot (session blokey) I hear tell from one gig some mates were at that Albert played all the hard/flashy stuff. Clapton is still a good plaer though.
  23. It worked for Roy "dog wanker" Keane
  24. That is the most astounding post I have ever read I personally would accept Hitler as manager with Phol Pott as his number 2 if we had the chance to become arrogant win-stuff all the time fans. Nice guys come second (or 11th-15th in our case) Immaterial anyway, ain't gonna happen sadly
