  1. That's one of the worst things about this, the "lying press" may be more reliable than "the horses mouth"
  2. Source (usually reliable) on Skunkers stating "he's gone" from a conversation with a club official Fuck me !!!!!!!!!!!!
  3. £190K a week AFTER tax, alledgedly, beyond obscene RIP Football
  4. Would have thought that technique raises the risk of attempting a wipe on the perforations, and the dreaded fingers to shitty sphincter connection
  5. Different, though related, subject tbh tbh tbh And I haven't started a thread for fucking eons
  6. How many sheets ? 2 for me, rainforest protectionist shitter me like. (I will admit to going up to 3 if she's bought that quilted stuff with the inbuilt tear promoting "fault lines") Unlike wor lass (judging by the shrinking of the roll between my visits), who must use countless sheets rolled up into a big ball for both front and back bums.
  7. Imagine the shit particles the standers allow to escape into the general atmosphere in the very act of standing. To be honest the very notion of standing has never occured to me in all my 49.999 years of existence, until I read this thread, fucking wierd IMO
  8. I quite like it. A footy shirt for golfers
  9. Is there only one left, or only one capable of flight left? There's only one flying, there's a few around in static displays etc. Than in itself is a shame. Surely more could have been saved as they are such an iconic part of our military history. Unfortunately it usually takes private money rather than government funding and we don't have enough interested rich people or enthusiasts, unlike the in the States - see the Confederate Airforce as an example. Look at the number of B17's and P51's etc that still fly. Dave Gilmour of Pink FLoyd owns a P51, you'd think he would have gone for a Spitfire or something !! If you watch 633 Squadron, they used the last 3 flying Mosquitoes to make that and that was donkeys years ago, none flying now (I believe) since the last one crashed
  10. Is there only one left, or only one capable of flight left? There's only one flying, there's a few around in static displays etc. Looking forward to the new film myself, Peter Jackson is the producer, should be good. Wonder if they'll have the balls not to re-name Guy Gibsons dog and therefore the mission success codeword
  11. Shouldn't scousers be banned as a matter of course for safety reasons?? They could crush us to death against our keyboards and get off with it, by blamming the Sun or the police
  12. Proof in itself that this story is bollocks tbh. Yep
  13. Lot of travelling with this London summons tomorrow for KK, Ashley etc then

That's exactly what should have been done. But I feel more for the passengers rather than the project managers who have had a large part to play in the cock up. Thing is the PM's likely suggested caution (I would, as above) but the "management" won't have countenanced it, BUT it'll all be the PM's fault (as per your comments). Been there before myself, you're right like the passengers deserve most sympathy, but the real people at fault won't take the "hit".

Was crass stupidity going for a "big bang" opening, should have phased the opening in, 10 flights for a few days then another 10 then 50 and only THEN if all went well and the wrinkles were ironed out go for it all. Being one myself I feel for the project managers, they won't have slept last night
  23. He would have got away with it but he was tackled by a roundabout
  24. I agree totally with what you're saying, especially the thin end of the wedge piece. Unfortunately the fans who went were the most important because they had the only money that the clubs could get their hands on by getting them through the door. That distinction is forever gone.
