  1. They always were Craig. There was no way the one with the nufc shop tag wasn't finished product. Puma, perfect cheap arse product that fat fuckwit loves. A lad posted on Skunkers that he had something to do with Puma and that the badges were deffo going to be embroidered. I cut and pasted that in this thread somewhere. It was itself a cut and paste onto skunkers from somewhere else. Who are you on skunkers btw I'm same as here, my avatar went down well over there
  2. Aye we've been listening to this "once the americans take an interest it's all over" argument for years. They just never get that interested. Thing is though, it's fundamentally changed over there, the kids are playing in en masse there'll be a real market for it (and everything is down to the market over there). It was a case of trying to convert the ignorrant previously, now they'll be preaching to the converted. I used to think it would never happen, but now I firmly believe the opposite. And while I'm on: FoG
  3. what do you care? you have no allegiance when it comes to international football anyway I'm talking about league football, where do you think all the overpaid prima donnas will go when there's more dosh available. Baseball is dying on it's arse and so there's a gap emerging, if the yanks put their mind to it................. Oh and skidmark, by saying it'll never happen illustrates who the real tool is, you're worse than Kevin tbh Give me reasons why it will be then OK Kevin Part Deux, if you can't see it you're blind. Virtually all the kids play it now and there's bazillions of the bassas There's already a pro league that looks like it'll survive The "Football is crap" generation is a dying breed The USA team got to the final of the confed cup (beating Spain on the way and leading Brazil in the final) and they've just topped their group at the WC and the players comprising that team come from a generation in which soccer was seen as insignificant. When the yanks put their mind to a sport, they throw inestimable buckets of cash at it, and they'll want the best. It really is only a matter of time, the momentum is there. Oh and you really shouldn't cheek your elders, little boy.

  5. Having been an NFL fan for decades and on message boards since they were old and clunky I have seen a huge change in the average "yank" attitude to football. This was illustrated amply last week when on a national blog/rumour site that I read, the site posted a World Cup "so what" piece in the old "it's boring and no-one scores" style. The reply comments went through the roof and were hugely disdainfull of the writers point of view. The day when the US takes over the world of football is ever nearer unfortunately.
  6. Aye, watched a bit of it, the big fella looked completely out on his feet between points, yet still hit some belting shots, bet they're both a bit achy this morning !!!
  7. To be fair the last one is a valid question
  8. They looked like a bunch of strangers who'd been flung together at the last minute, there is no sense of team. Even the crappy countries (e.g. N Korea) have a team method/approach, can pass and move instinctively. Ingerlund get the ball and seem to have to look around for the next pass, no understanding and very easily closed down. They don't even look organised at the back, meet ateam with a decent "cutting edge" up front and they'll be royally fucked. Couldn't undrstand the SWP/Lennon sub, it's going badly, needs a change, so he changes it like for like. Very strange. It was screaming out for Joe Cole to come on.

away not home alledgedly then milners current employers
  10. I don't like the England football team, nowt to do with England the place, you appear to be kevin squared tbh
  11. Never said England nufc was a rivalry, the analogy is as an nufc fan you'd never want sunlun to win so why would a Scot want England to win??? Jealousy of what btw, because I don't want sunlun to ever win doesn't mean I'm bitterly jealous of them. It's nowt about loyalty to nufc, without nufc players the England team is just a collection of the same bunch of cunts I wish ill on each match day of every season, end of. The England football team means nothing to me, I do get wound up for the cricket team though.
  12. I am totally ambivalent towards international football, but I do not wish well for ingerlund unless nufc are represented, nufc being my only real interest in football. Fail to see what the fuss is tbh and I find it amusing why you get all precious because other parts of Britain don't leap on the bandwaggon, as I said to Leazes it's a football rivalry and you never support your rivals. I do support the England cricket team though.
  13. Just don't understand the "anyone but England" mentality of other BRITISH people tbh, especially those who live in England Would you ever support Sunderland in any game ??? Therein lies your answer. If push came to shove in any serious encounter (like a war) you'll find everyone rallying around the "flag". Watched the game in the Cairngorm Hotel in Aviemore (Tartan Army HQ), great atmosphere and brilliant craic, our party was a 4 to 5 split ABE to England supporters, bar was about the same. what have the mackems got to do with supporting England ? It was an analogy, you wouldn't ever want Sunlun to win, so why should you expect that a Scot/Welshman/Paddy should want England to win ?????? It's football rivalry man !!!! The only Scots I know who have any interest in England doing well are those who follow an English team, in truth most of the folks here don't care one way or the other.
  14. I thought it was pretty good actually. In a fair and just universe Brazil would have won in '82. Italy had a cracking side too mind. They played some great stuff in the final in particular. France were excellent too. England weren't too shabby either but were undone by the daft 2nd group stage. They didn't lose a game (on penalties or otherwise - played 5, won 3 and drew 2, including beating the French in their opening game). Whatever happened to Paolo Rossi? I recall watching that tournament vaguely (I'm 42 now) but I can only really remember Brazil. Plus Rossi. Drugs and/or corruption I think, can't rightly remember
  15. you are fuckin joking Nope, them or the Germans, always had a soft spot for the Jerries, since Beckenbauer days.

  17. The only England team I have any interest in is the cricket team, the England football team, and by and large, it's fans are immense cunts, couldn't give a shit about them to be honest. Hope Argentina win it, not that they will mind.
  18. Not that I recall tbh. I have little if any interest in any football team other than NUFC, I spend 52 weeks out the year despising non-Newcastle players, why just because they pull on a different shirt should I go all ga-ga over them.
  19. Been internet-less for a wee while, is this multicultural Stevie then ??? If so, does he realise that the 3 Lions are one for England, one for Aquitaine and one for Normandy Very French of him.

    Joe Cole

Nee point in him waiting then
  21. Can't believe they assaulted in international waters, that's state piracy. Whatever the actions of those on board the ships, Israel's assault was illegal and beyond the pale IMO. Why the fuck they didn't let the ships dock and they could have detained everyone then quietly and bloodlessly. Be interesting to see what happens in the Security council.
  22. It's the stuff wars are made of, geet big proper wars, not localised skirmish type wars either. Very scary.
