  1. Luadable though it may be, a deaf and dumb singing section won't help the atmosphere much mate.
  2. # Don't be stupid, they don't need parking spaces for their canoes
  3. From what ?? I still wouldn't want FFS in charge ever again. The rest is deleted because it's the usual diatribe
  4. He's from south of the Tyne mate and therefore is southern = Cockney
  5. Skidders doesn't understand, I can understand that because he's a bairn, but Toonpack ? He gets his knowledge of the club from skunkers and True Faith mind. Don't be pathetic. Never bought or read TF in my life and the FACTS that I've posted are from independent, readily available, sources. Skunkers is a playground and should be treat as such. I am NOT pro-Ashley at all and sadly it's his club and he can do what the fuck he likes with it, get used to it. Crying and gnashing of teeth aint going to help. The club is now (if we stay up) in a position to move forwards, the summer will tell if that is "on the agenda" or not. It's not a question of "giving him" the summer, this is the first time since he took over where his ambition (or not) will be laid bare. I find the, he'll just pocket the dosh sentiments, hilarious. The fucker has "invested" circa £250 million to buy and keep the club afloat, that's £249 million more than any other ownership did, that'd specifically be the ownership with the £150 million in the back pocket BTW. Shit I must be a mong, how will I sleep tonight !!!!! Thing is Leazes, you could be deemed right in the end IF there was any balance in your arguments, but there's none. The previous regime were laterly only marginally more competent at running a football club (if they could have refinanced because they fucking well needed to - that's a fact btw) than Ashley has been to this point and that's it, they weren't really much better at all for a lot of years. Better's the wrong word really, they were marginally less shit than Ashley has been (to this point). Maybe you should go and have a tab in your Mohammed hut As for my sig, there's a trend in there if you'd care to look, it not an upwards one though.
  6. Some seriously GREAT comedy on this thread
  7. Name and shame them then. Even if they are "backing him", I imagine they're doing so with a large amount of reluctance. He can't name "them" because they don't exist. Except of course, if you have anything negative to say about the old regime then by Leazes definition you are backing Ashley. Objectivity doesn't exist in Leazes world, even when faced with FACTS he can't see it. Despite being derided and shot down on forum after forum he still doesn't see it.
  8. good. You're improving. WHOOSH
  9. How rude !!! BTW For anyone who's remotely interested's info: The revenue GOD: 2003 £96.4 mill (the highest peak for NUFC revenue terms, or is it) 2004 £90.2 mill 2005 £87.0 mill 2006 £83.1 mill Hmmm looks like some trend developing there, revenues are dropping consistently year on year. 2007 £87.1 mill Oh look, they’ve gone up again 2008 £99.4 mill (oh no !!! highest ever in the history of NUFC) 2009 £86.1 mill Aw shit, they're going down again, but hey, at least they're better than 2006 and any year from 2002 backwards 2010 £??? Will be crap but not yet known 2011 £??? Could be a record breaker Of course revenue taken in isolation means bugger all except it gets you into the "rich list".
  10. Revenue is all well and good if there's more coming in than going out, which there wasn't btw, that's what losses are and those things become unsustainable when you cant get credit. Simple really.
  11. Hardly, if I followed him I'd quote and respond to all his posts, which I don't, I just collar him when he's wrong. Tends to be alot of the time TBF.
  12. As an out of towner, largely armchair/lying in bed watching on a stream football fan, I appreciate there's something you miss by not being in the city and completely immersed in the football culture, especially somewhere as football-centric as newcastle. I think these days with message boards, the internet, able to watch nearly every game in full, you can still get a pretty good feel for whats going on, and at least enough to make a reasonable stab at an opinion. May not be correct, as all certain posters' opinions are, but they can be pretty well informed. On that subject, in another topic (the american vs japanese reaction to catastrophe) you said you lived outside of the north east for 30 years. You didn't state when or where. However, if you're going to pick others up on being out of towners (which most admit readily when it would be quite simple to pretend otherwise) and render their opinion invalid, i think it would be a nice gesture if you could tell us which years you were away from newcastle, and thus your opinion (by your standards) is invalid/less valid on. p.s. I spent a while replying to your post in the 'egyptian revolution gathers pace' thread. i appreciate the thread changed tact after the UN resolution was passed. just in case you missed it in the excitement, and simultaneous arguments in several other threads, its here http://www.toontastic.net/board/index.php?...st&p=882242 if you saw it and didn't deem it worth replying, then that's fine as well. As I said, I'm not one for protracted circular arguments. p.p.s And yes, this is similar to how I speak in real life Wouldn't waste time rationalising with him mate, he's immersed in NUFC where he lives, in that 100% black and white heartland that is Scarborough.
  13. the only good thing I can say about the posters on Newcastle Online is that some posters on skunkers are equally as stupid, incredible as it may seem. If the posters on Skunkers are stupid then fuck knas what that makes you considering you get your arse torn out everytime you post over there True Dat
  14. Stranraer, where the fuck'd you get that from Live about 6 miles from SJP, as the crow flies. And you post wasn't snipped to avoid questions, although I do answer them all, just not reinvigorating that loop again.
  15. the only good thing I can say about the posters on Newcastle Online is that some posters on skunkers are equally as stupid, incredible as it may seem. You didn't answer anyone's questions there either
  16. I agree with that but I'd have to add that some of the far right wing Christian stuff we see from America bothers me at least as much as the more extreme Islamists. Perhaps because I would like to think I have more in common with these people but in reality I really don't. Witness some of the comments American Christians have made against the 'Godless' Japanese after the tsunami for instance. These idiots haven't got the excuse of coming from an utter war torn shit hole like Afghanistan after all. The right wing Christians in the USA are a lunatic fringe as are the fundamentalist Islamics. BUT Islam in itself is repressive and is intent upon converting the world (even the "nice" muslim majority want this). We're fucked, long term, basically.
  17. That along with kicking Lennon in the head is the behaviour of a well adjusted "nice" person
  18. Shearer also never had off-field issues and the chav temperament to match
  19. Wasn't there a story at the time (rumour maybe) that Carroll'd been pressured by "big money men" in the game along the lines of making the money circulate.
  20. Revolution/counter revolution, uprising/surpression etc etc Arab problem, let them work it out themselves, unless it looks like the fundamentalist crazies are going to win, then we'd have to protect self interest.
  21. someone else who thinks this sort of thing works out perfectly, like a computer game or a Bond film. What you talking about ??? What it means is that it isn't "easy" and politically a difficult situation/decision. KSA answered you perfectly. Why not clarify your view ? Fact is, civilian casualties are unavoidable in these situations. The point is, what does the world do about Gaddaffi ? Nothing, and allow him to kill his own people like Saddam did as people appear to have advocated, or something and if so, what ? Does there have to be another "illegal" action taken, if not, then what ? No he didn't. Where'd I say it shouldn't happen ? Just stating it's not an easy decision to make or an easy thing to do. So what do you think they should do ? The same as with Saddam, or something else ? Let them get on with it tbh.
