1. I'll be surpirsed if we sign half of one player let alone two after reading the latest from Roeder Land...! ....don't ask me how that works.....maybe he'll sign another midget to add to our ever growing bollock nudgers...!
2. Don't agree at all. The manager knows best when it comes down to his team so it's got nothing to do with who the chairman wants...! I find it very far fetched to say it's the chairman making those decisions and Roeder just agreeing to who the chairman wants. Even if it is true it sounds ridiculous as it's Roeder's job on the line at the end of the day. Sure, the chairman might talk up how ambitious we are and to not lack that ambition I bringing high profile players as that would obviously be part & parcel of his job, but it's down to the manager to speak up or else rightly yes I can see chairman doing a bit more than what he should, especially at this moment in time if that has been the case. I'm not against Roeder as a manager as he's brought the right results in the past after Souness, but I do think he lacks ambition and confidence to be determined to get the kind of players we need.
3. What a complete farce this is...! The chairman has delivered in the past. It's his job to get the players the manager wants, but manger has to be 100% sure while making it very clear to the chairman he wants that player. Keeping Luque and giving him the number 7 says it all about Glenn, IMO. All the talk from Roeder suggests he's lacking ambition and confidence in himself as a manger to attract high profile players. He needs to give himself a slap and wake up because he's manager of Newcastle United where expectations are always high and we're losing out because we've left it till last minute. The pressure is on the chairman more than anything now so doesn’t be surprised if we bid stupid money for one high profile signing.
4. I'd have karaoke nights/quiz nights, two pool tables but only one snooker table because that's all I can afford at the minute! A jukebox in the pool/snooker lounge, a dartboard area, a couple of bandits, a concert room with a variety of different bands & comedians through the week/weekends. A cocktail bar, a boozers bar with a snack bar for your bacon/sausage/chip buttys, peanuts, crisps and....shit! And a restaurant & cafe at the other end of my establishment. I'd sell pints of Stella, Becks, Newcastle Brown, Bubweiser, Fosters extra cold, San Migual, Grolsch, Carlsberg, Kronenbourg, Carling extra cold & Snakebite all for £2. Bottles also on offer £1.50 Coke, Fresh Orange, Lemonade - Half's 40p, pints sized 70p Single's £1. Double's £1.60, trebles £2 - Smirnoff Vodka, Jack Daniels, Baileys, Southern Comfort and obviously a nice fine wine list. Establishment name - Moir's Opening times 11.30am - 11.30pm during the week and 11.00am - 11.30pm on Weekends.
5. TBH...! 186752 Sure i caught that on page 101 on that thread! 186754 If Gemmill gets away with it, so should I! *cough cough* page 54 http://www.newcastle-online.com/nufcforum/...28186.1060.html
6. Smoggies lost 4-0 at home tonight to Portsmouth...! Mind, Portsmouth have had a great start this season!
7. Woodgate is said to have met both the Smoggies (This afternoon) & Newcastle (tonight) before deciding who to sign for tomorrow according to SSN. Have seen fuck all about us and the Huth apart from that artical.
8. Any bands or events on down the quayside today?
9. Good luck to him...! It's how well he plays for Newcastle that counts, ATEOTD...!
10. Back in the day....back in the day When he first broke into the 1st team he worked hard but only offered one or two tricks and was poor on goal. The last couple of seasons despite still lacking goals his all-round game has improved where it's clear to see who he's been learning from. He's been consistent scoring goals so far and now I really think he'll carry that kind of form on. With Shearer gone he’s really shown maturity as far as his attitude goes and looks a great player when he's scoring goals consistently on top of what he offers. I think Shola should be wearing the number 9, imo, well, rather than Martins, but I think they will both definitely contribute to each others game this season. Still need another striker for back-up though.
11. You certainly were as you were about Shola, son.
12. Given Carr Moore Titus Baba Nobby Parker Emre Duff Milner Martins subs: tba
13. Why is it that every manager is deluded by this over-hyped stick-boy? Steve McClaren keeps including him as if it's going to make him a better player or something...!
14. If he's not involved today I think that could be true. At his age he wants to be starting most games so he could be tempted with Duff, Zoggy & Milner playing really well.
15. No Emre? 185050 I'm not really sure we need Graveson? Emre, Parker, Dyer (when fit), Butt, the Zog can all play central midfield. 5 players for 2 positions, not including academy & reserve. I'd rather we bought another centre back instead of a Centre Mid 185058 We only have Emre, Butt & Parker in central midfield. Zoggy might be able to play there, but he's a lot more effective on the wing so there’s not real reason for him to be there. I'm not going to include Dyer for the same reason that he's lot more effective in a free role behind the front two or even on the right-wing, but never as a central midfielder. I do like Emre, he grafts well and creates in attack, but I just feel Gravesen can offer more as a central midfielder with his composer and strength on the ball especially for when we come up against tougher opposition. I would rather we bought another centre-back instead as it's more of a priority, but again I'd say the same towards bringing in another striker too. 185067 I let you off the first time but it's composure 185071 Composer man! I think I need to slow down a little while typing away, I keep missing words out too...!

17. I knew someone would say that...! Swap him for Butt then! Christ! Can't please all...! I've just bought Woodgate, Gravesen, Nugent & Bridge ffs...!
18. Big gamble even on loan...! You'd like to think his luck would change at some point in his career. It would be great if it did with us, but I'm really not too sure on whether it's going to be worth the risk in wages.... .............AMEOBI.....MARTINS ZOGGY GRAVESEN....PARKER.... DUFF BRIDGE WOODGATE BRAMBLE...CARR ........................GIVEN SUBS: HARPER TAYLOR DYER BUTT NUGENT .........Would be nice ....but
