  1. It's quite the sight even now, as if somebody took a saw to a bloody 8000 ft mountain. And you can still find ashes on the forest floor around the site. The nearby volcanoes around Portland and Seattle (12000 and 14000 feet iirc) are supposedly active/potentially active And it all sits on (or near?) the Cascadia subduction zone, the one that will drop the west coast into the ocean once the 'big one' finally hits. Everyone's heard of San Andreas but it's not nearly as potent.
  2. Shitty humans don't have a history of suddenly turning nice, unless appropriate punishments are handed out. Football clearly doesn't want to do that with racists.
  3. Decent place to go on loan that. Hopefully he gets some playing time.
  4. Maguire Signing him would be ridiculous enough to throw a big question mark on Eddie and the management despite what they've done so far. Worse than the McTomniay rumor. He would be uninspiring, but at least not total dog shite.
  5. No way to order one with the CL badge online. Pfft
  6. Probably another bullshit rumour but interesting nonetheless, he really caught the eye in the last Euros but I think suffered a bad inury this season. From what I remember him playing for Italy seemed to have tons of pace and energy, can't say I've seen much of him for Juve.
  7. Per these reports then if we hadn't finished 4th we'd have a budget of around $20M this summer? Righto. Nobody knows shite. I think the club will have a list of minimal targets to get, and some to be monitored if a good deal becomes available like Isak last summer. We're probably looking at 2 top quality players like Maddisson and 2-3 decent ones to boost the squad and upgrades the likes of Burn/Murphy/Miggy. That sounds like $150M at least.
  8. The Youtube algorithm has picked up that NUFC fans are all of a sudden desparate for content, it will feed me just about anything. I think I listened to about 5 minutes of Goldbridge or whats his name the other day.
  9. One of Simon Jordan's rare decent moments recently was when he layed into Ten Hag for complaining about his spend when he's brought shite like Antony for 90M. Would be delightful to see them blow a couple of hundred million more and then have a Chelsea-eque season.
  10. Not sure what classifies as 'big chances' here but you get the gist.
  11. Read somewhere he's carried the ball more than any other player in the league. That's pretty impressive and he's clearly been such a great outlet for us breaking with pace. There's certain weaknesses to his game already spoken about but on the whole I think he's very underrated. Even in this league you will be hard pressed to find someone who can do the defensive work with the energy he does and still be a critical part of the offensive setup. A true box to box player this season. I think it's also been forgotten that he almost single handedly kept us up one season not too long ago.
  12. We'll be seeing a lot more of Gordon next season obviously with a full pre-season under Howe and no doubt an exact idea of what his role in the team is supposed to be. This season it was nothing more than integration and utility sub appearances. I expect Howe to play to his strenghts, be direct, take on people with his pace and create space for the central forward. And if the current coaching setup has gotten Miggy, Joe, Willock and even Murhpy to add some end product to their games I don't see why they couldnt work with Gordon on that aspect too. Too early too judge.
  13. I'm liking how PIF eventually seem to be able to get what they want, working in a methodical, planned, inevitable fashion. Staveley: "We will win the Premier League, we will win the Champions League........"
  14. But but but they sold OIL mate. Freaking oil, to people all over the world. If they would instead just profiteer off colonization, slavery and illegal wars it would be so much easier to accept them.
  15. I agree this is a good time for him to move on, I'll be a bit sad as he's had his moments here and carried us for a while under Bruce, but that's exactly why he should leave now. I don't see him making the step up to the next level that Howe and the club will inevitably be aiming for now, he will just get shown up. Let him move abroad and be fondly remembered as an entertaining player. I get what you mean althought Ben Arfa was on an altogether different level when he was at his best.
  16. His fall from the top over the last few years has been pretty pleasing to watch. For a time he was such a breath of fresh air when he first came to England. Honest, unapologetic, getting under the skin of Wenger and Sir Alex. His Chelsea side was defensive but they were entertaining, it was a different brand of football at that time. Since then he's just failed to adapt and keep up with the times. His teams boring and unremarkable, his antics petulant and disrespectful really. Should get a proper ban for his behaviour after the game.
  17. "Checked on the condition of.." That's a new one
  18. Well done! I think we're all just about done with the Everton crap so should have better participation next season.
  19. So its not Sunderland's top 4 EPL rivals gunning for their star player? Just mid table, relegation fodder looking to bolster their reserves? Magedia conspiracy all over it
  20. Barely noticed the 40 min video fly by. What a season man. You'd think with the media attention on shithousery that we'd scrapped by 1-0s the whole season. We've proper battered a few teams this season inlcuding a few top half ones. Tough to choose goal of the season betwen Miggy at Fulham and ASM at Wolves. I'd go with ASM in the end because of where he's hit it from and it was in the 90 minute. Can't wait to see what Howe and team do with Isak next season. He really has the potential to be a top 5 European forward. Also a bit of a mad bastard isn't he, some of those goal celebrations
  21. Bournemouth have just had the one long range shot in the last many minutes. Not even close to bothering Everton here
  22. I think it a decent deal for a premier league experienced full back. He was never going to a long term first choice option. Get him fit and ready for next season to cover the cups etc so BDB can be used at CB
