A good point, seen the first episode only but this is clear as day. I thought it could have spent more time on the fans and the relationship with the city, they do touch on it but it seems mainly focused on the new ownership and the direction for the future.

Sounds strange doesn't it but I kinda get that! SJP, Bobby, Shearer and the way we played with that team around 2001/02 was what got me. Didn't even realize it until I found myself looking for dodgy streams over a dailup modem every week and feeling utterly crestfallen when the opposition scored. Not sure what would attract someone to that team over let's say the likes of Arsenal and Man Utd of those days, but there you go. 'Geordie soul' as you say is a nice way to put it.

Hall: "I look forward to learning from players that have played a lot of senior games and learning from their experience"....etc etc Next question: "So how do you feel about the chance to learn from senior players like Trippier" FFS With all the positive changes behind the scenes can't they sort out this guy as well? At this point you almost watch it like one of those movies that are so bad you need to see them.

He's right of course, but this is the sort of thing you think players are trained to cope with these days. There's going to be plenty of idiots amongst the growing fan base in the coming years, and Twitter always seems to have a disproportionate percentage of them. Can't have players thinking about social media opinions and engaging with idiots. I'm sure Howe will have had a word.

I suspect a cheeky CB deal similar to Hall's could be possible if it looks like there could be some movement on one of the lads we're monitoring. Otherwise they'll probably wait for January and get one or two players in then.
-
Not to mention we stayed in the game till the end despite not being at our best. That is a true sign of how far we've come. I didn't particularly enjoy the game of course, but was proud of the fact we're already going into these games with confidence rather than dread. I think games like these we miss Willock, his energy and especially ability to carry the ball and create space. 4 points in the next 2 games would be a very good return. After that string a good run together in the easier run in.

You were seriously expecting to get a result? Hoping is one thing but expecting? Perspective please. This is a team that blew away Real Madrid a couple of months back. We were nailed on for relegation less than two years ago. We will go through a number of these games and a few more transfer windows before we can contend with the big boys. And City might even be an exception to that, as long as they have Pep they'll be a class above for years still. Howe will be smart enough to know this. He'll have seen 3rd and 4th are very gettable again this season based on how Liverpool and Man Utd are playing. It'll be another fantastic season if we finish there. Toppling City will have to wait a bit, but it will come.

Good news, should be much easier getting hands on kits and merchandise next season. Castore should be permanently banned as a vendor.

Agree with much of what you lot are saying. We were disappointing going forward but it's progress to keep it interesting till the end. I'll take it. I think the hype about finally getting a result against them was from people who haven't watched a lot of this City side. Even without their best player or two they can maintain a level quality above anything else in Europe. All our mids looked way off it. Bruno really needs to sort himself out in the final third, he's been so poor there for months now. Seems lost anywhere near the box. Miggy standing out like a sore thumb again, just doesn't have enough end product or a right foot. Is Gordon any good on the right? Putting him there Barnes on the left might be something we try soon.

Going pretty much as I thought it would. We're still miles even of an under strength City. As every other team is tbh. Done well to play calm and pass it about at times. Never gotten in behind them so far though. Mind you they've also has about 2 good chances only one of which was the cracking finish from Alvarez.

Absolutely loved how shite Man Utd are given the amount that fraud Ten Hag has spent. So many overrated players too. They'll be lucky to finish 4th this time.
-
Yes, but if feels like we need to say it as some across social media think we're about to smash them. I just want a good competitive game. Far too many times have we seen a hyped up Newcastle team fall to pieces, even though admittedly this time feels different.

I'm just glad he's accepted that Hall is an exciting signing. That's what my DMs were about

2 seats available for Brentford. Went to the site to check out the details purely out of curiosity Barracks seems like the viable option but mostly sold out as KD said. The new one they're calling Wings priced at 400 quid ffs?
-
I see, that's a bit better then. Just have to be ready to have your pants pulled down price wise.
-
Those hospitality packages dont sit you in the main stands? You have to watch from one of those terrible glass boxes? If so that sucks, as seems like that will be the main horribly expensive option for visiting fans. Never been to England but general experience across the world is they're not anywhear near fun as the main stands.

Even Edwards has his uses. His constant shite about the transfer budget and our inability to spend will have played a small role in managing expectations of other clubs as to what we can pay. Most journos/fans did their own calculations and correctly estimated we could easily spend 150M plus with a sale or two. The lazy useless incompetent bellend that Edwards is immediately lapped up anything fed to him, and that will remain true whether we get Hall or not.
-
Aye 28M initial fee rising to 35M is what most people are reporting.
-
Doesn't look like we have offers for any of Hayden, Fraser, Manquillo or Hendrick. Not long left to go in the window now. You would think if any championship clubs were interested they've had bid by now.
-
Should be a good game. Lots of people seem to fancy us for this but lets not forget the quality City still have to call on plus they now have plenty of experience navigating a congested fixture schedule. They still start favorites for me, they will keep a lot of the ball and we'll have to be careful and patient with the press. I'm just hoping for a competitive game, get in their faces and take the game down to the wire, leave no doubts as to what the main title fixture will be a couple of years from now
-
Multiple reports now on the Hall deal being close to completion. It's been nearly 2 years now but I can still scarcely believe what this club has become. Unreal

Brilliant work if we manage to convince them for the loan now plus buy next year. Potentially a similar deal for a CB too? Greedy little bastids we've become in a very short span of time
