Generic small time football blather thread FOREVER
aimaad22 replied to Sonatine's topic in Newcastle Forum
Lots of fewm from Everton fans on the potential sanction whilst the City case drags on. Not exactly the same type of breaches the two though? -
Oh dear. But I like this tbh, this playing utter shite barely scrapping away thing Ten Hag has got going. It's going to fall apart sooner or later and if it's later, he'll have done a lot more damage to the squad.

I think he's got another 2 good years in him, perhaps a 3rd as well. Plenty time to win a cup
-
He's truly world class like, perhaps the only player since Shearer we can put in that category. Everything he does reeks of quality. Touch, positioning, passing; and he knows exactly what he's doing all the time. We've got a handful of very very good players in the form of their lives, yet he still absolutely stands out every game. Not even Bruno looks as good on the ball game in game out.

Yeah he's not going to be a first choice CB here now is he, Botman should certainly be coming straight back in when fit. It's good that he's shown he can be reliable backup in this system.

I think playing with quality around you in a team that's been blowing away the opposition helps a lot, but you still have to give credit to Lascelles. I thought we'd really struggle if either CB got injured, but he's stepped up and done very well.

There were countless games last season when you'd spend the game frustrated at Miggy constantly breaking up the forward flow, failing to find a simple pass or putting a cross in when the opportunity was there because he had to cut back onto his left foot. He would then go on and score a goal with that lovely left foot of his and all would be forgotten. That sums it up for me really. He will have his moments this season too I'm sure with left foot. But in between those there's going to be long moments of mediocre wing play mitigated to some extent by his excellent work rate. I think Murphy offers more on the whole, directness and willingness to look for the man in the middle chief among them. It gives Howe options in that he can throw different types of threats into the fray. It's going to be one of the first areas targeted for an upgrade next window though because neither player is consistently top class. I hope Murphy stays around as a squad player though given his journey with the club.

Just scored I think, maybe you're right

I genuinely think they might finish 7th or 8th this season. Ten Hag will be exposed sooner or later. They've always been terrible to watch under him anyway.
